We got the red pepper sauce and even though the pizza wasn’t our style(we are super thin crust people) it was still one of the best pizzas I have had in my entire life. Every bite I just saying OMG this shits soooo good. The sauce was the best I’ve ever had and even thou I’d have liked a crispy pizza I couldn’t have imagined a better pizza Better than mellow anyday I also loved the inside my boyfriend is a huge comic book nrrd so he loved it even more A little bit of a bummer the tables aren’t a tintsy bit nicer like booths but who really gives a fuck when the pizza is that good

I sat down at Savsge pizza to eat. I think this helped with the review. I’m not sure it would be a good pizza for delivery or carry out to a faraway location. The pizza was very juicy and I loved the garlic tomato sauce. The crust was stillcrisp because I ate it right after It came out of the oven. I can imagine a delivery being quite soggy. The ingredients were fresh and overall was a good experience.

Great spot to grab a quick bite before a show at Variety Playhouse. The BBQ chicken pizza is amazing.

I go here because this is the only pizza that delivers to my house. The crust is generally soft or soggy. Ask to have it cooked twice. The older guy who answers the phone is hard of hearing, repeats the order back wrong and makes one feel they are putting him out by adding additional items to an order. For this convenience dessert I live in I could have a worse option.

Had pizza from here today. It was soooo gooood! I ordered the red wine sauce with pepperoni + xtra cheese + xtra sauce on a sized small pizza. Try this combo! It is amazing! Our server was really sweet + attentive as well. This is my new pizza spot from now on. Just had a slice of my leftover pizza and it was just as good.

I’m probably pretty biased when it comes to good pizza, as I’ve recently relocated from pizza Mecca of the world — New York City. We had heard some great things about Savage Pizza, and were very eager to try it. After looking at their online menu, we were excited with all of the options, so we decided to experiment with: — Whole Wheat Crust — Spicy red pepper sauce — Sun dried tomatoes — Jalepenos — Andouille Sausage The kind girl on the phone told us to come by in 20 mins and pick it up. When I arrived, the hot pie was waiting for me and it looked and smelled quite delicious. On the car ride home, my mouth was salivating smelling the potent odor of this pizza creation… Upon first bite, I noticed that there was a rubbery texture to the crust & minimal spice and barely any taste. Upon 2nd bite, even less taste. This ended up being the WORST god damn pizza we ever ate. The cheeze had no flavor, and the sausage looked like sliced Oscar Meyer weiners. I wish I had more hands so I could give this pizza 4 thumbs down.

I wanted pizza and it looked good. The pizza came out hot and fresh, but it was nothing special. It tasted average. Service was good and pricing was reasonable.

Awful customer service. Guy was very rude. He asked where I was located once I told him where he hung up. Never calling this place again

Consistency is the most important aspect of a restaurant to me. Savage does not cook their pizza the same way every time. Sometimes you will get a very soggy undercooked pizza where when you pick up a slice the pizza just basically rips and falls apart. The inconsistency that bothers me the most however, is where they say they deliver to. It all depends on who answers the phone when I call. Half the time they say they don’t deliver to me the other half they do.

A PIZZAPLACEWITHNOMOZZARELLASTICKS?! :(((((((– I loved their theme and decorations. Their pizza was not very yummy though. It tasted very off. All of my friends that were there with me agreed.

Great pizza, but, they don’t deliver in Grant Park. My house is 2.1 miles from Savage, I eat there a lot and they deliver to neighborhoods further away. Booo! I got a «sorry we font deliver there» and then the young lady promptly hung up on me. Love to hear from the owners why they treat our in town neighborhood in this way.

Savage pizza is one of the best pizza spots in Atlanta in my opinion. I ordered the spinach and cheese calzone. It was surprisingly a bigger portion than I expected. The waiter was on point and made sure my drink stayed full. And to top it off they had Sriracha sauce.

Comics and pizza go together like pepperoni and pizza, so the ambiance gets an A+ from this reviewer. Great service and thoroughly decent pizza made this an incredibly satisfactory pizza stop on our brief trip to Atlanta.

A friend suggested we try this place out. After reading the reviews on Unilocal I said lets do it! Everything on the menus seemed really good but I am a spicy lover so I went with the Cajun pizza. It was absolutely awesome !! I loved it so much I got one Togo for my daughter. I also got the Greek salad minus the anchovies and it was really good as well. Parking is tight and there isn’t a lot of dine-in seating but it’s cozy. They have a bunch of old comic book action figures on the wall and in the bathrooms that I thought was pretty cool. Only downfall is there was only 1 server. I dont know if it was like that just for that day or if that’s how they do things. Overall 4 stars.

My best friend and I did some shopping while in L5P and when we got hungry, she suggested that we get pizza which was a perfect excuse to try out Savage Pizza. We were seated immediately and our waiter Jesse, was nice. He got us our food and drinks pretty quickly and the pizza was delicious! I had the chicken Florentine pizza and my friend had the bacon, spinach, and tomato pizza. While I was in love with my pizza, I wasn’t feeling my friend’s pizza. The apple-wood bacon had a strong taste which overpowered the entire pizza and caused it to taste bland IMO(she loved the pizza), but on to the drinks… The drinks were huge! Not to mention, free refills, but who needs a refill when the cups are as big a cereal bowl? If you do, then congratulations, you have an unlimited bladder(I’m not judging if you do though). We also had an order of bread sticks and I had a joke that went along with it, but I forgot it… oops. I’ll be back though.

You can find this location of Savage Pizza at 484 Moreland Ave NE, Atlanta, GA30307 in what’s known as Little Five Points. This is to the right of The Junkman’s Daughter when facing that venerable local store in a short strip mall, with the restaurant on the end closest to Junkman’s. This is, I believe my second visit to this location of Savage at this location, as I remember if more fondly at the older location on North Highland — I used to travel by it when going to work as it was between where I lived in L5P and Indigo Coastal Grill(the last restaurant where I worked, across from the first Alon’s location on North Highland). Savage was one of those fantastic pizza options in an area that had several(both Fellini’s and Johnny’s were closer to my old home). I just always preferred Savage due to the fantastic dough and fresh ingredients. I’m happy to report that Savage is just as good as I remembered it from the old location in it’s new home, closer to L5P’s «heart.» If you’ve never been to a Savage Pizza location, you’ll note that the concept includes many covers from classic Marvel and DC comic book covers. I remember fondly the Silver Surfer mural at the original location and much of that flavor has been retained at this new location(my apologies for referring to this as «New» as it’s been at this location for some time — old habits). This is a smaller restaurant with very limited parking, and yes, there is an annoying attendant that will try to get you to pay — just make sure you tell him your there for Savage and he should allow you to park without handing over your greenbacks. Besides great pizza you can chug down several local craft brews and get great service, something L5P isn’t necessarily known for. On this occasion we ordered a couple of pies and they were very good. The crust here was perfect. The weather was clear if a bit cold and the experience quite fine with good friends — you can’t do much better than that.

Woke up and just decided that I want my boyfriend Rico and myself to try a new pizza spot. My first choice was Max pizzaria, however the falcons happen to have a game today and traffic is insane. Moving forward, we can to an. agreement to tryouts out savage. First impression of the place was clean, very artsy and I say this because they have so many comic book references throughout the whole rrsturant.(Pretty neat if you like super hero’s!) The waitress was very friendly and has an amazing sense of urgancy. While still providing great customer service. They have a great basic menu from pizzas, salads, sandwiches and etc. We decided to go with a medium cajun pizza. The pizza was good for it not be a franchise pizza spot. Not sure if this would be my first choice for pizza, but I would eat here again.

On reviendra!

A fun, laid-back spot to grab tasty pizza — situated in a great neighborhood for exploring. I love the chill vibe in here with comics on the walls, buckets of toys for kids, tables that are plenty big enough with those pizza stands that always make you feel so fancy when you use them… there’s also plenty of patio space outside if you want to nosh al fresco. The staff is relaxed, casual and a bit punk-rock — but not at all rude or disinterested. They were all super helpful and super informative, and completely willing to tackle my(numerous) special requests. They checked on us a ton and didn’t scoff when we wanted«only water» to drink. Savage pizza is savagely good. I actually got the sav-veg(veggie pizza) with a couple modifications — no mozzarella(ricotta only — and they gave me plenty of it) and added chicken(again, added a very substantial portion). I loved that the toppings were plentiful, that the whole wheat crust was crisp but chewy and had a light nutty taste. The garlic tomato sauce adding extra zing — and the server was happy to bring me a little extra on the side for dipping, too. The menu had tons of options for sauce, crust and toppings — definitely more choice than your average pizza joint, and they infuse herbs and spices to make the toppings even more interesting. The other folks at my table got a custom pizza and a plain cheese. Both looked amazing. A small would easily feed one person — probably with a slice to spare. I ate half of my medium and then had dinner(3 slices) to take home. Wander in the next time you’re wandering around the area.

«This place is like Mellow Mushroom, but on stronger mushrooms.» — my wife as we walked up Great décor — super heroes and godzilla hang from the ceiling. The cups are huge, and our waitress hooked me up with a half Mr Pibb and half Cherry Coke combo. Great choice. The pizza was great, I went for the Cajun Pizza based on our server’s good words, and it was a delight. Two thumbs up.
