Smoothie King

Coming here always involves a test of patience because customer service is not their strong suit. Walked in and there were three ladies working behind the counter and one of those ladies was doing something by the register where you order butttttt I guess I was invisible because she didn’t acknowledge me for about 2 mins. I thought maybe she was helping another customer but she wasn’t.
Anyway, once my invisible powers went away, she was very straight to the point and might have just been overwhelmed as there were four other people behind me. It looks like the menu has changed a bit as I didn’t see my old favorites on the menu but I managed to find something that turned out to be really good. The island something or another with mango juice and sorbet, papaya and pineapple juice, and a protein powder. Just a really slow process. I think if I come back, I’ll definitely call ahead.

It just took 15 minutes exactly to get my smoothie with 3 people ahead of me and 2 employees. I have no idea how it happened but I am completely blown away. That process should take about 3 minutes. I will not be back to that location. Ever.

The smoothie taste good but not what I asked for even at the second attempt.
Not only did it take over 7mins to get my smoothie, it was wrong. The only way I would have known it was wrong is because it had cocoa in and I did not want cocoa along with other ingredients. So it probably still would have been wrong (very bad if I was allergic).
I thought I could just run in and still make it in time for my appt, but I did not especially since it was wrong.
Not only that but I was specific in placing my order. Saying that, maybe it should have been repeated back, idk.
When the smoothie was being made the employee put a heaping scoop of peanut butter in the smoothie (why wouldn it taste good). Peanut butter is high in calories… Now my smoothie is 410+ calories because there is to much damn peanut butter! She added another ingredient I wanted to exclude. Who knows? I’m not sure they were paying attention at all. I guess the customers don’t either but if their trying to be healthy this may not be the smoothie king for you or maybe you should try a new approach to eating because this isn’t it!
So over it and so upset I had to leave a review. This is troubling especially when you want to do good and this fuel enough to go buy a freaking cheeseburger and fries.
They say third time is a charm, but I couldn’t mustard up my energy to ask to have it remade and trust that everything was correct. I just took the smoothie and left and I won’t be back.
They were slow… No enthusiasm… Or get up and go…

definitely as good as other smoothie kings but for sure the slowest smoothie king in town, they are never hustling to get anything done in a timely manner

I’m a big fan of the green tea smoothie, which is what I usually get at any Smoothie King location. This location in particular is pretty much on par with any other location. Parking is really convenient in the parking deck right behind the store. Also, there is never a line when I go.

I stopped here after leaving Taste of Atlanta. I didn’t have a long wait, the staff were nice. The place was clean. The Smoothie tasted like all the others I’ve had from Smoothie King. First time I ever even noticed this location. I thought it was just like the rest of the Smoothie Kings around town.

I’m going to go ahead and guess that the reason this location has such low stars is solely based on the low number of reviews.
Anyway, I LOVE Smoothie King. I’ve been to many, many locations around the city and this one is one of the best ones I’ve been to so far. They guy behind the counter (who, I asume was the manager) knew everything about all the smoothies, and even gave me a recommendation to add a banana to my Mangosteen Madness, and it was awesome.
Not to mention, the sig mention that her favorite smoothie was from Jamba Juice and she hadn’t had one since coming to Atlanta. She told him the ingredients and he gave her a suggestion, and apparently it tasted JUST LIKE her favorite one.
Anyway, he was patient, and helpful and our service was fast. Not to mention, they were playing Biggie that morning. What’s not to love about that?

In the middle of Zen on Ten, Five Guys, and Jersey Mike’s, and close by to the Humane Society, this smoothie location opened not too long ago and you won’t even be able to tell the difference between opening day and the day when you walk in because it is just that clean.
They also had 100% cleanliness rating, thank goodness!
The smoothies are delicious (had the green tea one with mangosteen, and strawberry kiwi… which is their tartest smoothie). If you don’t know what to get, ask the employee, they really suggested well and were so friendly and nice!
Unfortunately, the second time I had to wait, but it was a KILLER wait. One little shop like this probably doesn’t need more than one employee at a time, but they were so SLOW. I probably waited a good 20 – 25 minutes for my smoothie with only 4 people ahead of me.
What kills me is that there was another guy there who didn’t really do anything. If I had waited another 5 minutes I might have taken 2 stars off for service!

This new Smoothie King just opened up on the corner of 10^th and Northside along with Five Guys, Jersey Mike’s, and Zen on Ten. It’s sparkling new and conveniently located for me and any of the other volunteers or employees at the Atlanta Humane Society up the block. It’s by far one of the nicest, cleanest, well-​stocked Smoothie Kings I’ve been to. The fairly spacious patio outside provides a view of the traffic on Northside and the opportunity to potentially become a witness of the shooting or mugging of an innocent Tech student.
The smoothies are just as deliciously refreshing as any other location, and I noticed the unpeeled bananas behind the counter looked much fresher than the location near my condo. Since I get the Slim-​N-​Trim Vanilla (which is deceivingly made mainly with bananas), I do like to check out the bananas behind the counter… in more ways than one…
The three stars is because of the service. This place is slooooooow. I felt like the entire process of ordering, paying, and waiting took place in painfully slow motion. There was only one other customer in front of me, and there were two employees working. I wasn’t greeted when I walked in and got behind the other patron. Someone else walked in shortly after, and the other employee offered to take her at another register while I was still in line. Although everyone was taken care of by the time I ordered, my smoothie seemed to take several minutes to make. It was left sitting in the blender for at least 3 or 4 minutes while the guy behind the counter counted the change drawer, checked the receipt paper supply, walked around, etc. The whole experience just screamed for a jolt of energy or even just a small dose of joy. Zzzzzzzz…
