I have seen dermatologists all of my life for eczema. Within the last few years my skin was getting worse. I woke up some days with my entire face swollen and red and I was in incredible amounts of pain. The many dermatologists I saw all told me it was just an extreme reaction to my already present dog and cat allergies. This was unbelievable to me because I’ve been allergic my whole life and the reactions are always hives and trouble breathing.
I finally got fed up with doctors telling me that it was out of my control and that’s when my father found Dr. Stephen Kraus. The moment I stepped into his office I felt a little uncomfortable. He is not the most talkative doctor, but he knew exactly what he was doing! He immediately suggested a patch test and within two weeks he determined a list of chemicals that I have developed allergies to. Common chemicals that are in body lotions, clothing, jewelry, and even feminine products. He then prescribed me a specially made face wash and lotion that was specific to my skin and my problems. It’s been 11 months and that horrible eczema that made me never want to leave my room and face the world has not returned. I am eternally grateful to Dr. Kraus for making me more confident and more comfortable! I would recommend Dr. Kraus to anyone with skin problems. He’s an incredible doctor.
I have since moved to California, but I will continue to travel back to Atlanta to see Dr. Kraus.
