I’m not sure if they’ve changed cooks over the last year or something but services have noticeably declined. Shrimp Tempura is not as fresh and«Where’s Jean»??? She was a great asset(customer service) to your business.

2nd visit and again rocked our sushi world! Appetizers are on point, delicious bang bang shrimp and«fall in love» a sinfully delightful tempura chicken appetizer(and yes, one bite and you are in complete love!!) Then there is the sushi, flavor-packed creations that you will be dreaming about afterward. We had the volcano roll and diamond roll. I literally have no complaint about either, just to say come hungry because you will be licking that perfectly spicy and sweet sexy sauce right off the plate. We are big fans of the«clear soup” — the classic soup with a clear broth, green onions, and a few tempura flakes. Highly recommend! We will be back!

We tried to have lunch. There were 3 tables who were currently eating. We were told to sit anywhere, and we did. 4 minutes later, the ONLY server brought over menus and walked away. 5 minutes later she asked what we wanted to drink. We both ordered waters. 5 minutes later we still didn’t have drinks. We left and went next door to Thai Chili

I must say I was a little apprehensive about coming here because of the recent reviews but I wanted to try it anyway because the sushi looked amazing. We sat at the bar and ordered take out for a night in and ordered drinks and the bang bang shrimp. They don’t have an extensive drink menu but the shrimp was great! While we were waiting, Annie was amazing and so friendly. It only took about 10 minutes for our sushi to be ready and it too was great! The yuki roll is out of this world! We weren’t big fans of the Braves roll, but their sushi menu is fantastic and has a huge selection so we have plenty to choose from next time. Great service, great prices, and very fresh food! Thanks Annie for taking care of us too!

I have to qualify my five star review: I’m a vegetarian who doesn’t eat fish. But that said, the sushi I am able to order at Sushi Itto is always amazing. And the people are extremely nice. If I ever crave sushi I don’t hesitate at all to give them a call and order some takeout.

I typically eat here(during lunch) and I was starting to eat here twice a week. So being a familiar face, I wasn’t expecting such horrible service when I brought a friend with me. I also can’t stand when the owner is nasty and not accomedating. I guess that’s why I’m also usually the only person in the restaurant(with the exception of maybe one or two others). About a year and a half ago this place was always busy so questioned, «why are they so empty now?» Well from what I’m gathering from your reviews there’s similar quality places in the area with better pricing. I will be checking them out now.

Went to lunch with my friend. The Sushi was good. However, I ordered water with my meal and the waitress kept forgetting to bring me water. I asked three times for some water. She used the excuse that she kept forgetting. She finally comes to my table and tells me that the tap water is yellow due to to construction on the water lines and says that I can purchase bottled water! I asked if I could not be charged as I couldn’t help the current state of the water system. The waitress and owner said NO! I ate my entire meal without a drink. NEVERAGAINWILL I EAT here again. I even celebrated valentines day dinner here this past year and to be treated like this! Worse experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant. No wonder it is empty at lunch time. Bad business practices and no sympathy for customers. CHEAP!

Best sushi in Atlanta? Salmon flower not to be missed. Bruleé not just for show. Bento box unlike many others, leaves diner delighted and feeling full. Highly recommended.

2.5 stars Was supposed to have lunch at Waikikie Hawaiian BBQ but there was one handicapped parking and one space in a very tight spot between two cars at the back available. No thanks! We all wondered where we could eat, spotted Sushi Itto across the street. We said we need to be more spontaneous and take risks. Sure! When I opened the door, there was only one guy dining at the restaurant. That usually is not a good sign. Everywhere seemed to be packed with lunch crowds, Sushi Itto was just empty. We were seated and the server gave us some menus and I spotted a lunch special menu. I opted for the Teriyaki chicken bento box. One can’t go wrong with Teriyaki chicken right? I couldn’t be more wrong. After like a very long time, the food finally came. The wait time honestly was not acceptable when by the time we ordered, we were the only three there. The presentation of my teriyaki chicken box was definitely an A or A-. The food? The chicken was so dry that at one point I choked a bit when I took my first bite. The chicken was cold and rice lukewarm. I guess one of us ordered a winning dish, the tempura shrimp. It could not be compared to those I had in Japan, but the tempura shrimp was all good compared to my teriyaki chicken bento box and a chicken rice bowl one of us ordered. Service was overall good. The waiting time for our food was just too much. Guess I won’t be back any time soon. The food was just not good enough to warrant another visit.

My wife and I are sushi snobs and have avoided Sushi Itto in fear that we would be disappointed. We were ever so wrong! I wish we built up our courage to try this restaurant a long time ago, as we have been missing-out for all this time. I foresee us being regulars from here on out. We highly recommend the Dancing Eel Roll… extremely delicious!!!

Another visit. Food was excellent. Using their website to pre-order before I picked up was very easy.

I ordered fried rice, which was bland. Took two bites then returned it. The staff then took it to the back, tried the food I returned and then told me that it tasted fine to them. In the end they took it off, but they were rude about.

The sushi’s too good. They’re gong toke all my $$ one day, but it’d be worth it.

Serving ice cold takoyaki with furikake on top and on a bed of some lettuce drenched in a mayo-based sauce is not my idea of good takoyaki… Gross. The tuna tower was a disappointment. Don’t do it. Their miso soup was not done well. And the spicy tuna roll did not show any hint of spiciness.

Two guys on a Friday night having crazy cravings are headed to whole foods. We see a sushi restaurant and exclaim«Sushi!!! YESSSSS» We walk around whole foods, but nothing compares to the amazingness of sushi so even trying to resist, we end up at Sushi Itto especially because they have a scoutmob. When we walked in, it was really quiet. Too quiet. But peaceful quiet. We peruse the menu and my friend told me to choose a couple rolls to share. Entrusted with the most difficult task of making a decision by an indecisive person, I consult my resources. HELLO Unilocal! Unilocal informs me that the Princess Roll has been mentioned in 8 reviews. Ok one down, one to go. Then I chose another random roll with a cool name without thinking too much about it: Volcano Roll. As we’re waiting for our rolls, suddenly we’re jamming to 90s music, because that’s the music that was playing in the background. We had lots of conversations about our past love for Britney, Nysnc, Backstreet Boys, Christina Aguilera, and… Justin Timberlake without Nsync. The presentation of the rolls was awesome, especially the volcano roll. I liked the shrimp that came on top of the rolls, and the rolls themselves had cream cheese which was a nice touch. The princess roll was also awesome, because it had a tempera crunch taste in the center of each roll. I didn’t think they were the best sushi I’ve ever had, but the quality was good. My friend also impulsively ordered a simple tuna roll. I thought I’ve had better tuna rolls, but it was simple and fine. Service was good, pretty standard and the décor was simple, but cute. It started to get busier as we were leaving.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of sushi here. My(future) roommate and I came here after checking out places to rent last weekend, and I saw that scoutmob had a maximum $ 10 off deal, which is not great but was still an encouragement for us since we were craving sushi. The place was essentially dessert around noon on a Saturday, and I wasn’t initially aware that it was a seat yourself kind of thing. A sign might have been nice, in that respect. My friend got the Princess roll, and I got some veggie tempura and also a chef’s special that came with various nigiri and a dragon roll(about 14 rolls for a menu price of around $ 20). The veggie tempura was good, and it came with mushrooms, onions(which weren’t super onion-y), and carrots. The sushi was completely odorless, which means it was fresh, and had a nice toothsome give for each bite. I would definitely come back, though even with the $ 10 off, it was a little pricey. Probably the lower tier of a pricey sushi place, in terms of price. I was impressed though, so I wouldn’t mind coming back if I’m in the neighborhood again.

Sushi Itto rates somewhere between 2 and 3 stars. This is a mid-tier sushi restaurant. The quality of the sushi is OK, but the prices are mid-to-upper tier. In most cases, you’re better off spending a bit more and going to a nicer, more authentic sushi restaurant for significantly higher quality sushi or backing down and going a «cheaper» joint where the drop-off in quality is marginal. Sushi Itto is located in the Briarcliff La Vista shopping center. This is the same shopping center as Thai Chili and Broadway Café. The restaurant is spacious and casual. Not much in terms of ambiance or décor, but the space is clean and the furniture is nice and in good condition. There’s a staffed sushi bar in the back, which doesn’t seem to be too well stocked. The menu has over 40 «Americanized» sushi rolls, most priced between $ 10 – 15 each. I always prefer the more traditional nigiri(slices of fish over rice), of which there are over 20 varieties(sashimi, slices of fish only, available too), most priced $ 5 – 7 for 2 pieces. They’ve got an $ 18 chirashi bowl(slices of various fish over rice) and an assortment of non-sushi Japanese cuisine. Examples include tempura, yakitori skewers, donburi rice bowls, teriyaki, and udon noodle soup. The foods are nicely presented. I’ve tried the seaweed salad and it’s good. It’s served in a neat-looking, cone-shaped bowl with a small base. The seaweed is fresh and flavorful. It’s topped with spicy mayo, orange smelt roe(fish eggs), and black and white sesame seeds. A light, refreshing dish. A couple rolls I’ve tried include the Black Pearl Roll and the Dragon Roll. The Black Pearl Roll consists of scallop, yellowtail, fish eggs, green onion, imitation crab, eel, avocado, and eel sauce. The Dragon Roll is similar and consists of imitation crab, green onion, spicy mayo, avocado, eel, and eel sauce. As far as sushi rolls go, these are quite alright. The avocado is ripe and the savory, somewhat salty eel(unagi) sauce is what gives these particular rolls most of their flavor. The nigiri I’ve tried include: Masago(smelt roe) — small orange-colored eggs Saba — mackerel Tai — red snapper Sake — salmon Smoked salmon Maguro — tuna Hamachi — yellowtail White tuna Scallop Tamago — egg omelet These are the more common and«basic» types of nigiri. You won’t find sushi like toro(fatty tuna), uni(sea urchin), or more unique species of fish here. The nigiri seem sufficiently fresh at best and no piece sticks out as being particularly delicious. If anything, the fish generally seem more bland than anything. I do like the clear chicken broth soup here and it’s a nice alternative to the usual miso soup that Japanese restaurants formulaically roll out. Each bowl comes with a little bit of mushroom, green onion, and tempura flakes. It’s mildly rich/oily and comforting. The house salads(topped with ginger dressing), included with some meals, are pre-made and sit in a fridge until ready to be served. These are, of course, less appetizing than freshly made salads served in room-temperature bowls. Service is good. In the end, Sushi Itto is not a bad sushi restaurant. It’s just that there are better options out there.

I admit I don’t eat sushi too often, but this place is a great value for the money, and has a lovely dining area that seems to perpetually be situated in the pink glow of springtime. Both times we have eaten here it has been in the mid to late afternoon, so there haven’t been too many other diners. We ordered from the lunch special menu, which is available on the weekends too and runs until 4pm. Included in the specials(which aren’t compatible with scoutmob) are a diverse array of bento boxes and basic rolls. The nigiri(pieces of fish, usually, on top of rice) from that menu is $ 1/piece, while the rolls are $ 4 per order. Such a good deal! I got 1 pc salmon nigiri, 1 pc yellowtail, and 1 order spicy tuna rolls(which include spicy mayo and avocado). The bf loved his two orders of satsuma(sweet potato tempura) rolls. One great thing about Itto is that they have quite a few vegetarian rolls to choose from – perfect for a significant other who abhors fish!
