Sorry to say, but this neighborhood staple has closed its doors, following the sale of the shopping center they’d occupied for over 20 years. Owners are looking for a new location, but no word yet on whether they will reopen. Regulars are missing the comfort food and fabulous extra-dirty martinis. Hope they find a new home soon!

30 minutes to get food in a empty restaurant. You can do better. Onion rings have potential, to greasy. Beer not very cold. Hopefully this isn’t the normal experience.

Love this hidden gem! Great food, great service and nice chill atmosphere! It feels like home away from home.

First of all, the food is pretty good here. Current health inspection score — 98. The problem is with the attention to service and the price for what you get. The price on their beef brisket sandwich which includes one side is now up to $ 14. It’s a very good sandwich, but 14 bucks? No thanks. Not anymore. Tonight my companion ordered stuffed cabbage($ 18), which included a dinner salad. The server asked if he wanted the salad before the entrée, and he said yes. The salad came after the entrée was brought to the table. I ordered meatloaf($ 18) with sides of squash casserole and onion rings. The server did not mention that the meatloaf is already covered with fried onion strings. They were out of the squash casserole, so I chose mashed potatoes instead. The server asked if I wanted gravy on the potatoes and I said yes. The potatoes came without gravy. Also, the onion rings were very greasy. Nothing horrible, but a disappointing meal. My companion commented to the server that the prices have gone up and service has gone down. I guess that upset her because when she brought the check there was no thank you or thanks for coming, but just«here you go».

Been coming here since it opened and have never been disappointed. In fact, we were regulars at the Perimeter Café, owned by the same folks, at the entrance to the pre-renovation Perimeter Mall. Love virtually everything on the menu: the fried chicken, the meat loaf, the brisket, the burgers, the salads and on and on. Service is always professional and the quality of the food never varies. The bad news is they are closing in December as their location, in fact the entire corner, will be leveled and redeveloped. Only hope they reopen somewhere. If not, I wish Bruce and Sally the best!

Always solid food. Food is always very consistent and pretty quick to come out. The service is good but has gone down a little with what it looks like new and younger servers.

Don’t know if it’s just us, but my family cannot drive by the sign without saying«Bring me a Brickery» in our best MP accent — anyone else??? Doesn’t look like much from the outside, but very cute once you’re through the doors. My family and I had a great lunch here. We started with pimento cheese appetizer and something in thai spicy noodles, but I cannot remember what the something was, but it was DELISH! I had the blackened Tilapia sandwich — excellent! Daughter #1 had a burger which she loved. Husband had the black bean burger which was very good. Daughter #2 — our vegan — questioned the waiter extensively(he was knowledgeable about the menu) and had a very good vegetable plate — so much more than a lettuce salad!

Wow… I am glad I gave them another shot… the food was delicious(cooked perfectly!) and the service was extraordinary! Carey is a great server and I will be asking for her on my next visit. Thank you Brickery for making it right!

This is a Bar & Grill for a much older crowd!!! I asked the Bartender to tell me about the Tito’s brand and she really couldn’t, but I did read on a small stand that states it’s a handmade vodka… So I decided to try the Tito’s Cosmopolitan martini… Thankfully, the drink was really good! I ordered the crab cake appetizer and it was okay, lacked seasoning to me and the sauce was flat! However, it came out pretty fast. Plenty of regulars who appear to be older than me, so maybe in their 50’s or 60’s… Service was okay! Thought about ordering the brisket, but may at another time…

The atmosphere and the staff were wonderful. I had the Caesar burger with fries. The fries were delicious and the burger was really tasty, but the temperature of the beef seemed too cool. I ordered it medium, which it was, but the lack of warmth seemed a bit odd. Also, the shredded cheese was not melted at all. Overall, it was a great experience but $ 32 for two people was a bit pricey.

Awesome food, but it seems that the silverware is just always dirty. I have asked for new silverware twice for me and my party and it was dirty each time. I polished it my self and it came out sparkly and clean. Quite disappointing. It makes me wonder what is really going on in the kitchen and conditions the food is prepared in.

First time here — won’t be the last(and we’re from out of town!). Food was awesome — had the Caesar burger and it was tremendous. Kids had chicken tenders and a cheeseburger, and loved it all. Service was very good and waitress was on top of her game. Entire experience was great.

When I walked in I felt like I stepped into the late 1960’s. The hostess was friendly and we were seated immediately it was crowded on a Saturday afternoon. Our waitress was nice and the food came fast. The crab soup was good but hard to mess up anything filled with fattening cream and milk. The Ceasar salad wasn’t bad it was fresh and the dressing was ok for a Ceasar vinaigrette. My friend had the Ceasar burger and said it was delicious. I had the spicy chicken which was a half chicken with kraft barbecue sauce on the side… it wasn’t what I was expecting at all and could have ate at home for that. The fries were good I ate them all. I don’t eat beef or Pork so if I come back I will try another menu item. I didn’t like my main dish too much but might have a better experience next time with another dish. Clearly the ownership takes pride in their establishment and that goes a long way.

We came in for lunch around noonish. We had a fairly simple order. To start was 2 waters and an ice tea. The waitress seemed to have a real chip on her shoulder. After we ordered our drinks she asked if we were ready to order. We said that we were still looking at the menu. She sighed and rolled her eyes and walked off. She forcefully put the glasses down and asked us if we were ready yet. We told her not yet, but soon. Again rolled her eyes and stormed off. We were talking amongst ourselves at the table and maybe 5 mins passed since she dropped our drinks off. I said well I guess we better order. My mom ordered the Caesar Burger and I ordered the American Burger with some additional items and the waitress said«I guess we can do it» in a very condescending, annoyed and rude tone. She stormed off again after getting our orders. We were talking again amongst each other again and she came over with our meals and literally put the plates down on the table hard. Made us all at the table jump. We had finished our drinks and had to ask for her to refill our glasses. My burger was awesome! Cooked to perfection with everything that I asked for. It was a wonderful burger really very juicy and actually cooked rare the way I like it. My mother’s burger turned out not to be a favorite. This would have been a 4 star rating if the service had been better. To me service and food all factor in to my reviews. I feel that is the best way. The Caesar Burger was a miss, The American Burger was a hit, the service was a major miss. It’s a shame. Coming from out of town we gave this place a try. It is worth trying out. Just hope for a better waitress. **Update** I have to say that I’m really impressed. The owner was very kind and reached out to me to fix the problem. Not many people would do that. The food is really good. I loved my burger that I got. It was cooked perfectly and the beef was a good ratio. Next time I’m in Atlanta I’ll give this place a second try.

As a Jewish person, I have to appreciate that there was a flyer that says«Shabbat Catering» at the front of the restaurant — makes me feel at home. There was a short wait at 6:30, but we didn’t mind since we were supposed to eat at Fanoos and didn’t want to schlep around. It is a little less exotic than our usual haunts, but the food is good and the service was very attentive and friendly. We enjoyed the onion rings(shared 3 ways was perfect). My dad’s burger looked good and he said he enjoyed it. My husband and I shared the Ruby Red trout special and it was more than enough for both of us. It was really tasty and cooked perfectly. Everything was hot and fresh.

I wasn’t really sure what to expect from this place but we wound up there as a last second decision last night. I will start by saying that Saturday night is a definite senior night, which for me was great! I have a soft spot for old people, so seeing them all dressed up and out and about socializing warms my heart. The service was wonderful while we were there. Very prompt and polite. Absolutely no complaints in that department. The food was above average in my opinion. It is your basic American fare. Think higher quality picadilly. There are the classic meat and two veg plates or just a pick five veggie plate. This likely explains the older crowd. I had a grilled chicken salad, which was more than I could eat. Everything was fresh and tasted good. My wife ordered a salad and a side of macaroni and cheese which was quite good. She is a Mac and cheese conesuoier so that is high praise. All in all the food was really good. I will eat there again and it will be on a saturday night too! So, to summarize. Awesome old folks, great service, good food, and reasonably priced. Not too bad in my book!

Just ordered delivery and I am really disappointed. The food got here 15 minutes after the suggested delivery time and the food is cold. The worst part is that the delivery girl forgot our 6 pack of cokes. She went back to the car and returns with a Rite Aid bag with loose cans. When we get inside and open the bag all the cans are dented so bad that we can’t open them properly. Not worth the money or effort.

I have been coming to this restaurant since it opens with my family, and coming there always feels like going home. I moved to New York, then Philly, years ago. My wife and I were in town last week, and my 90-year-old grandfather took us for dinner, where he continues to be a regular. As someone who has been in the Mid-Atlantic for a decade, I do not say lightly that the crab cakes were, hands down, the best I have had south of Baltimore. My wife’s salmon was impeccable, and my Maker’s Mark Manhattan from the bar was perfect. Though they clearly offer an abundance of well-loved comfort food, the menu has plenty of toothsome and healthy choices. Can’t say enough good things about the consistently good service over the years. The owner has always been genuine. Despite the fact that the place was slammed, the service was seamless and friendly. Our waitress endured, with good nature, my grandfather’s off-color sense of humor that comes with all of the political correctness of a happy hour in Mad Men. Since my grandmother passed year after nearly 70 years of marriage to my g-daddy, it’s warming to see a place where the ol’ guy can get excellent grub, conversation, and a laugh. We had a blast and will be back again.

This is my favorite neighborhood restaurant to have dinner. I love their chicken entrée. Their burgers are also excellent.
