The Loudermilk Center

I attend a lot of conferences, and I attend a lot of conferences at the Loudermilk Center, due to its convenient downtown location and focus on providing meeting space for nonprofit organizations. The facility itself is beautiful, with bright, well furnished meeting rooms of various sizes. The staff I’ve encountered have been helpful and polite. When food is served, it’s better than your typical conference food.
Though parking is plentiful in an attached deck, it is also cash only, and to my knowledge there are no ATMs close by. So come prepared, or be prepared to sweet talk the parking attendant into accepting the handful of loose coins in your purse and forgiving you the extra dollar you owe. Not that I’d know from personal experience, of course…

I went to a conference here 2 weeks ago, and I must say, it was a pretty good venue. The acoustics in the large ballroom were awful, but the other rooms were just the right size for breakout sessions. The location is good — right, smack downtown. And the air-​conditioning was in top form, thankfully.
