While I love the music and most of the teachers are pretty good(Moira is the best), the class is set up to accommodate infants through 4 year olds. There are too many«sit down» slow songs for toddlers, my little one is only 2 an there’s no way he wants to sit still in my lap and listen to a lullaby, or hold on to a ball and be told«no throwing or kicking, only rolling». A lot of the class rules are put in place for protection of the young babies, but they aren’t age appropriate for older toddlers. The classes should be divided into babies and toddlers, they have totally different wants and needs in a class like this. We loved the songs, still sing them everyday, but I did stop going to the classes(even though I pre-paid the session) because it became too hard for me to spend 45 min trying to get my son to sit down and listen to music and not play with the other kids at the request of the teachers. It just wasn’t an age appropriate class for an energetic 2 year old.

We love the Music Class at Toco Hills. My children have so much fun(and so do I) and have developed a love of music. My only complaint is that despite the quality, I feel that it is a little pricey — especially when you have more than one child.
