I stay in a lot of budget hotels/motels across the country for my job and I have never felt compelled to review one before now. I’ve been here a week and switched 3 times and all 3 have been awful. To call this place a shit hole is an insult to shit holes. The rooms are down right disgusting, they’re visibly filthy and smell. All the furniture is covered in stains and falling apart. The appliances are ancient(Before this place I hadn’t seen a Zenith TV in 20 years). When I opened the mini-fridge I literally started dry heaving from the smell. There are bugs everywhere. It;s cheap for a reason, avoid at all cost.

I’m really not one to complain and I usually never write reviews unless it’s to be positive, but we did not have a great stay. Positives: the property has the potential to be a really good hotel. The employees were very nice and helpful. The pool was good; clean and convenient. The price was cheap, but for what we got it was overpriced. Very convenient location, especially to the base, which is what we needed. Negatives: our room had no hot water. We arrived Thursday evening and told someone on Friday it was broken. They told us the plumber had already left for the day. We told someone else on Saturday and he tried to fix it but said it wouldn’t be fixed until Monday, our check-out day. They did offer to move us to a different room, but we were right next door to our in-laws and we had 2 adults and 3 kids in our room. We didn’t want to move all of that stuff for just a day and a half. So we all shared my in-laws’ shower. Our quilt, in a non-smoking room, had 5 cigarette burn holes in it. The carpet was really gross. The toilet leaked. My in-laws’ fridge didn’t work because it leaked and rotted the entertainment center it sat in, so it sagged. The ac in my in-laws’ room was broken and even after it was fixed, it leaked into the room. The maids never came to the rooms to clean. We were asked on Saturday by a maintenance man, after 2 days there, if we needed housekeeping. We said no, since we had kids sleeping in the room, but we wanted the trash removed, since we had already taken it out ourselves once since we got there. We watched a maid go by with clean towels on her shoulder, piled up to her hair, to put into rooms. We thought that was unsanitary. There was very little or no breakfast to speak of in the front lobby. There were other little things that we were not happy with, but they just added to the big issues that we had with this property. The best thing was that we didn’t come home with bed bugs, which was a legitimate concern and someone else had posted that they got bed bugs from this hotel.

The great: Check in was fast and easy. Each staff member I dealt with were helpful and kind. Towels were clean, fresh, and seemed to be new. The horrible: the room! The bed was very uncomfortable and the springs kept popping into us. There was black mold all over the ceiling in the bathroom, the lamp shades appeared to have been burned, the furniture was falling apart, the shower faucet kept coming out of the wall, pillows were too small, the refrigerator was all rusted on the outside, the Internet was down the whole weekend. Wheeew! One other complaint I have is we were in a non smoking room, but we still smelled stale cigarettes. This property needs a MAJOR upgrade/update as soon as possible. It was not a comfortable stay.
