The food was not as good as the reviews said. We visited the one in Vegas and the food was amazing. So we decided to go for great steak close to home and we were so disappointed! The Filet mignon was burnt on the edges and had a burnt flavor. Nothing tasted real good. It had such a different flavor! Terrible

This place was incredible. We made reservations before hand on and I recommend that you do if you want to eat here. The décor had a very old world rich feeling.(Dark wood floors and tables with hints of red and pictures on the wall) When you walk through the doors look to your right to see a room of all the dry aged steaks. We were seated at a table in the middle section and our waiter was very professional and knowledgable about the menu items. The waiter brought out a bread basket with butter that had many different types of bread in it. For starters we had the seafood special. It was to die for. I’m still dreaming of it. There was 3 scallops wrapped in bacon, 3 coconut shrimp, fried calamari and fried onion strips. It came with marinara sauce and a tangy Asian sauce that was good. It was $ 52 but one of the best appetizer I ever had. We said we should of ordered it as our dinner!!! For dinner we ordered the salmon topped with crab meat which was a large piece of salmon. It came with asparagus. The steaks we ordered were the cowboy steak and filet Mignon. The filet was 10 oz. and perfectly cooked. It was charred on the outside and tender on the inside. The sides are a la carte. We had mushrooms, asparagus and cream of spinach. The sides were awesome. The cream of spinach was not soupy at all. It was actual fresh spinach and done just right. We all enjoyed our dinner. I would def. go back. I think it’s better then Ruth’s Chris.

Went here with my boyfriend Saturday night and the positive Unilocal reviews definitely mislead me. The meal started out well enough with yummy table bread and a Caesar salad appetizer that was a solid good. I ordered the roasted Sonoma chicken with is mustard, bay leaves, and prosciutto in some sort of sauce. The chicken was cooked well enough but was seasoned all wrong, when you opened up the chicken you could see the mustard was not spread out eventually leading to bites into globs of mustard! Also the prosciutto was really sparse and not crisp at all, could not even taste it. But the biggest problem was the sauce just some sticky, goey sauce. The truffle fries were alright, seasoning was almost there but they weren’t crisp! My boyfriend had a medium rare filet, which was on the rare side and was also in this sticky Demi glaze sauce that he really didn’t like. The service was excellent, but for the prices of this place i expected a truly amazing meal and that is not what we got.

We visited Gallagher with a party 8 and had reservations at 8:30pm on a holiday weekend. We were promptly seated when we arrived although I would have expected some type of wait and was very pleased with the great service we experienced. Our total dining experience took about a hour and a half, which is expected with such a large party and I was very pleased that all the dishes were able to served at almost the same time. This helped eliminate the awkward interaction of some eating while others were still waiting. We didn’t order drinks from the bar and I’d be unable to comment on the quality or speed of the drinks. Our party ordered everything from the Surf and Turf, King Crab, Salmon, Porterhouse etc. Everyone was pleased with the quality of their food and my Porterhouse steak was at temp. I almost always have to add to add additional salt or pepper to my steak but this one was perfectly seasoned. The server never allowed any of our cups to be empty and was very attentive despite our size. It was a very pleasant experience and one of the best steaks I’ve had.

EXCELLENT! Great food and awesome atmosphere. It’s a little difficult to find in the casino but if you follow th signs you’ll be good. The steak as phenomenal and the crab crusted salmon was out of this world. Jonathan was our server and he took excellent care is us.

Crazy expensive for«OK» quality food. Is beef not native to NJ? Sirloin for $ 42? Service was pretty bad too and the draughts were flat and warm.

Service was perfect … Food was even better. I created a Unilocal because of this place. Ok … My wife made me create it… Lol. On a serious note, this place is Fantastic all around. If you’re in AC … Make sure this is on your todo list!

My friend and I sat down at the bar for drinks and food on a Friday night. The service was good and the food was excellent. We ordered the whiskey onion rings, potato chips with chipotle sauce, and two burgers. The drinks and food were reasonably priced and the food was delicious. I would definitely go back again to eat.

This place was incredible tonight I never give 5 stars but EVERYTHING we had was perfect. My wife had a special a seafood risotto never had a better one superb! We also had a giant special seafood appetizer coconut shrimp, bacon wrapped scallops and the perfectly cooked calamari. This was very expensive 50 dollars but more seafood then we could finish. I had a porter house steak that was cooked a perfect medium rare. They have Thier own butcher shop and the age the steaks to perfection. Great atmosphere and service. Our waiter John was a consummate professional. We finished off with sharing a superb crème brûlée. A warning this place is very expensive for most people. The bill for two was just over 200.00 But worth every penny

The food was very good. Prep time was a bit long but everyone one is so nice and dedicated that it almost didn’t matter.

This is not a place to be missed if you’re in Atlantic City. Gallagher’s Steak House is an establishment where you will have an incredible overall dining experience, although your wallet will take a significant hit for it. I make it a point to dine here any time that I am in town, so long as the house hasn’t completely crippled my financial situation. There’s a bit of a classy atmosphere about the place, although it’s also got a relaxed feel. Business casual attire is preferred, but there seems to be no issues with a pair of blue jeans and a decent t-shirt. Our party of three gobbled down the rolls, appetizers(clams casino, baked oysters and shrimp scampi) and main entrees(surf and turf, filet mignon topped w/a crab cake, pork tenderloin in an apple reduction), without leaving a bite behind. The portions were just enough for us to not feel overstuffed, but we weren’t left feeling hungry, either. Our waitress(unfortunately, her name escapes me at the moment — probably because I ingested an old fashioned or two…) was wonderful. As you will often find in my reviews, I appreciate those who are attentive, but not overbearing. She gave a shining example of how it’s done properly. Would I come back here? Absolutely. Is this place recommended to others? Absolutely. Did eating here leave me in a state of near financial ruin? Absolutely, but it was worth it.

Absolutely delicious! For appetizers I recommend the clams casino, shrimp scampi, and the apple walnut salad w/honey garlic dressing! Steaks were amazing and cooked to perfection, along with the truffle fries and green beans as sides. For dessert the sticky pudding is definitely my favorite!

Probably one of the worst meals I’ve ever had in Atlantic city. And for the prices they charge they should be ashamed of themselves. Lobster was dry, over cooked and tasteless. Even the potato wasn’t cooked properly. Steak was very chewy. Only saving grace was that the service was polite.

When I walked past Gallagher’s and saw the dry aging steaks in the windows my first thought was«this is going to be good». I instantly made reservations for later that evening. Once we arrived for our reservation of a party of two we were held up for about 15 minutes which was a little annoying as we arrived right on time and watched as other parties were seated first after arriving behind us. The hostess offered us no apologies or explenation for the wait. Once we sat we had a incredibly nice and attentive Russian gentleman which gave me some reassurance that this would be a good meal. We ordered a couple drinks and looked over the menu both getting the signature dry age New York sirloin. This is why I give Gallagher’s 2 stars; We both like our steaks rare to medium rare and actually had to return one of the steaks because it was over cooked(it was quite embarrassing). Whatever I wont let it ruin our meal. I really truly wanted to like this place and I have never really had a bad meal at an upscale restaurant but I was thoroughly disappointed in Gallagher’s «signature» steak compared to other steak houses I have been to this just wasn’t up to par. The atmosphere of the restaurant feels like you stepped back into the Glory days of Atlantic City, low lighting, dark wood, curved booths, it really was a stunning testament to what the city once was. Even with the great wait staff it was not enough to make me want to come back after the«ok» steaks and severely over-priced drinks.

The food at Gallaghers was excellent. I ordered the Porterhouse medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. The taste was juicy and flavorful and tender. Same for the sirloins that were also ordered. We will be coming back here next time we are in town.

Burger Bar Review If you can get over here from the city early on a Friday, it is a fantastic place to hang out and have a pre-game happy hour dinner. Nick the bartender is fantastic, the drinks are cheap, and the food options are pretty good. I give them a full extra star for the baked oysters. They’re meaty, cheesy, bacon-y, and delicious. Throw in some $ 5 buffalo wings and a perfectly cooked burger, and you’re in good shape before hitting the booze and gambling the night away.

Please note that there are 2 Gallaghers — the one in the hall is the burger side, whereas the restaurant is the true steakhouse/gem of this establishment. We were staying at Resorts Casino for the Valentine weekend, which is my go to casino, so I can’t explain why or how I’ve never eaten here before, as it was definitely memorable. The ambiance is great(somewhat dim) with pictures of stars who have frequented the restaurant. The waiters were very professional(reminiscent of 5-star restaurants), and the service was excellent(from the greeter to the servers, etc.). We were seated right away(around 6 p.m.) even though it was the holiday, without a reservation. However, it did get very busy right after our arrival, so I would definitely recommend reservations just to be safe. They have a decent wine list, and had quite a few specialty drinks as well. I originally ordered a glass of house Pinot Grigio, but after tasting the beau’s drink, I switched over. He had the fresh cucumber melon martini. If you like martinis, it’s a must try. For appetizers, the beau had the shrimp cocktail and I ordered clams on the half shell(even though they were not on the menu, they did have them, and they were fresh and small which I prefer). So far so good. For the main entrée he ordered the prime rib medium well. For me, the steak had a little more fat than I like(I usually order filet mignon) but he loved it. Said it was juicy and flavorful. I ordered the surf and turf. The turf was good, but the surf was a little on the dry side. Not unbearable, but I’ve had better… much better. In the restaurants’ defense, I always say, if you want steak, you go to a steak house. If you want seafood… well, you get it right? Also, take note, sides are not included with the entrees. I ordered the vine ripened beefsteak tomato and onion salad(from the appy list) and beau ordered the yukon gold mashed potatos. Both were excellent. Overall, it was a good dinner, and very convenient(it’s on the Dining level of the Resorts casino). The negative? It was definitely pricey($ 300+). Since it was a special occasion, we didn’t mind, but it wouldn’t be a ‘regular’ place for us unless we really didn’t want to venture outside the casino(it was brutally cold that weekend).
