So my dad told my brother and our two friends to come here for dinner. We were seated after about 15 minutes, we didn’t have a reservation, and it seemed to me like the waiter kind of disregarded us. It took a very long time for us to get our orders in and a long time for them to serve us even the bread! I had clams casino which were quite good and the veal chop for my main course. I found the veal very delicious. It was moist and cooked properly at medium-rare. I had cheesecake for dessert which I found to be fantastic. Over all I found that the food was worth the price BUT the service was far from satisfactory. The waiter was kind and funny but treated us as almost non-existent. My group was fairly underdressed which might have been the reason for being ignored. I don’t think I would go back just because we were treated so minimally but it is a good place to go if you’re staying in the Taj Mahal and aren’t being too cost conscious.

HORRIBLE service. So bad that we had to complain to the manager. It took over an hour for our food to come out. Seafood paella was not good at all. The seafood in it was stiff! Steak was way too expensive for the actual taste. Not the best either. Stay away. Or you’ll regret it later.

Service was ok at best. Steaks are expensive & my wife had to send hers back. When it returned it was still over cooked. That’s why we love Morton’s. We won’t be returning.

Went a few weekends ago and our party of four ordered the $ 35.00 Chef’s Special Menu. Between us we ordered the Fresh Maine Lobster Bisque and Chef’s selected East and West Coast Oysters to start. Both were very good. As entrees we ordered Pan-Roasted Frenched Chicken Breast with Sauteed Spinach, Fingerling Potatoes and Tomato Bruchetta and the Slow-roasted Prime Rib. The Prime rib was cooked perfectly and no complaints on the Chicken. For dessert we ordered the Vanilla Bean Crème Brulee and Safari Chocolate Cake which were both excellent. The décor and service were great and for the price we all left more than full. Definitely a great deal for a great meal in A.C.

I went to this restaurant once with my BBE(Biggest Bitch Ever otherwise known as my ex-girlfriend) because we went to see a concert and the hostess basically offered us a free dinner before the show. So we figured what the hell. Here’s the breakdown Food: 3 and a half stars The steak was pretty good. It had a nice crust with a butter sauce that I enjoyed very much. The side dishes were not so good. I was talked into the Mac and cheese and I wish I was talked out of it. THEYPUTBLUECHEESEINTHEMACANDCHEESE! AREYOUKIDDINGME! It was not good at all. It Loses 2 stars for that alone. The mashed potatoes were good but not as good as my mothers. The desert was the best part of the meal. They gave me a slice of no joke a 21 layer chocolate cake which I believe can be rented for $ 1000 a month lol. It is the best dessert I ever had. Service: 4 stars: The waiter was very friendly almost too friendly. He actually stopped to talk to us for 15 minutes about every topic. While it was nice, we did want to eat in peace and felt bad for other customers. He was very nice and I sort of felt bad telling him we wanted to eat our dinner because I think he was a lonely person. The hostesses in the front were very efficient and professional. Atmosphere: 3 stars: Call me a curmudgeon but I like traditional décor in a steakhouse. The whole«Lion king meets the jungle book» motif doesn’t fly with me. it comes off a little tacky. But to be fair, they really go all out on the jungle motif and it definitely is unique. Conclusion: Overall, I would give it 3 and a half stars but again UnilocalDOESNOTALLOWHALFSTARREVIEWS! It’s worth going once if you get comped for it.

Great Pre-Show Dinner for Atlantic City Decided to eat there as I was seeing a show in The Taj and I made a good decision! I was a lil late for my reservation and it wasn’t an issue. The Host was friendly. The waitstaff was very efficient and personable. The food was very delicious even though it was a Prefix Menu. I had fish at a steakhouse and I didn’t regret it lol .The ambiance and décor was great not to much as it’s safari name but it felt like a NYC4 star steakhouse. Would go back next time in Atlantic City and will recommend! Thanks to Andrew & Phil our waiters

I have to be honest. I was VERY drunk when I ate at Safari with a group of guys for a bachelor party and I have a faded memory of most of the night, BUT I do remember my awful steak! I thought I ordered a NY Strip, but I was given a big hunk of mostly fat with some dry meat here and there. The theme was ridiculous and so were the prices for what I got. I would not recommend Safari to anyone.

Listen if there were an option for Zero Stars I would have given a big fat 0 to Safari Steakhouse… The Steak is priced comparable to every other steakhouse but unlike any other steakhouse the meat is not dry aged and not quality. Its not even prepared well. I had ordered a NY Strip Med. Rare and when it came it was as tough as shoe leather and well done. I am usually one to give a little more leniency but since there was no one else in the restaurant and no one else at the table ordered a strip it was clear that the kitchen just didn’t know how to cook a steak. Please don’t waste your time here. Even comp. dollars aren’t worth this place.

I really do not know how to start this. The place is overpriced, $ 50.00 for a porterhouse. The waiters weren’t friendly, they were just there and the décor is a disaster from the Lions out front, the animal print cushions and the Indian royalty theme throughout. The meat was dry and not very well seasoned. I would recommend eating at the Morton’s Steakhouse at Cesar’s Palace before recommending this place. I will say the pretzel bread was the only shining light though. Waste your money on the slots not this place.

Not even close to worth the price they were charging. I had the salmon and it was cold and under seasoned. Some of the friends had the steaks and said they were«okay». For $ 40 I don’t think«okay» is acceptable. Atmosphere was a little weird, but not too bad. Service was terrible. I believe we waited something like 30 min after finishing dinner for our check. We all walked away really wishing we had gone somewhere else.

STAYAWAYFROMTHISPLACEYOUAREMORELIKELYTOENJOY A HOTDOGFROMOUTSIDE! I recently stopped by the Safari Steakhouse while on a trip with my employer and was seriously disappointed. This place is not worth the price by any measure of competency. While the cut of meat was decent, the meat was cold by the time it was placed in front of me. The creamed spinach was good, but it was the only warm side dish. Additionally, the popover was about the same consistency as cardboard. I was seriously disappointed and I didn’t even pay for the meal. It appears they took their buffet staff and gave them better ingredients. The reason I gave 2 stars rather than one was because the pretzel bread was very good and the steak would have been good if it was served 10 minutes sooner.

Had a bunch of comp dollars to use up, so was deciding between here and Il Mulino New York. Always a little hesitant to pay $ 25 for pasta or rice, we ended up defaulting to steak. It was Memorial Day, after most people had already gone back to work/home, so the place had plenty of room for two walkins. We were quickly seated at the table of our choice and after placing our orders the bread service came out. Out came a tray of three mini loaves. Pretzel bread, glazed raisin, and a heartier nut loaf. My favorite, though seemingly inappropriate before a steak dinner, was the raisin loaf. All were freshly baked by the bread chef right near the front in a wood burning stove. He looked kind of bored watching the bread bake and scooping the butter, but someone’s got to bake the bread. For appetizers, we had the portobello mushroom topped with gorgonzola cheese and au grautin and the crab cakes. Both were OK. Both were tasty. The crab cakes had plenty of whole pieces of crab meat, but the outside was kind of pale and lacked cripsiness. The mushroom came out kind of watery(even for a mushroom) and hard to cut without all the toppings falling off. We shared the 16 oz. bone-in rib-eye medium rare($ 42.) Only one beef choice was described as dry-aged, and it wasn’t the rib-eye so we missed out on that. All the choices were USDA Prime angus-certified. The steak itself was fine. Nice crust, perfectly cooked. The side of asparagus was boiled and ended up sitting in a lot of water. A grilled preparation would have been nicer. For dessert, we ended up going to Taj’s «diner» Plate for a nice crème brûlée topped with a berry compote. Why? I just like the presentation of it in the huge shallow angled bowl. Overall, I’d definitely be less inclined to come again given that there are so many other steak options in Atlantic City.
