Went to Robert’s on Friday night with four friends. Bottom line up front: Robert’s is a competent steakhouse. Solid, friendly service. Way overpriced. If a party of five is going to drop $ 1,000 on dinner, I want better than«meh.» We started with drinks at the bar. There’s a friendly lounge off the Taj casino floor. The hostess and bartender were friendly. The cocktail menu featured around eight drinks. I ordered a Sazerac; not a common drink outside of New Orleans I know, but considering the bar was featuring it, I figured I’d be safe. Nope. Terrible. At least two ingredients missing. When I’m paying $ 15 for a cocktail; I expect it to be made correctly. Dinner itself was done well, if a little unmemorable. The lobster/shrimp spring roll was delicious. Steaks were all cooked to order. The wine list was a small considering the venue. Dessert may have been the highlight: ricotta cheesecake. Again — good steak. nice people. Compared to Palm or Morton’s, not worth the $$$.

Went to Roberts for a friends 40th birthday. Excellent service, delicious food, beautiful private room. A must see when in the Trump Taj Mahal.

Service: 5 stars. Food: quite disappointing. I don’t like to complain about food, but I got a ribeye for $ 58.00, which our waitress made it sound to us as if it would be the best thing I would ever eat and it was nothing more than ordinary. Quite the contrary, it actually tasted not good. We also had an order of Brussels sprouts which were actually pretty good and a salmon, which was actually good. Both cost much less than the ribeye. We originally wanted broccoli rabe for the side dish, and were informed that they were out of it. Disappointing since the place was completely empty, and that was on a Saturday night.

Best steak I’ve ever had. While me, my boyfriend, and another couple were vacationing in Atlantic City, we were craving steak so decided to give Robert’s Steakhouse a try. The location was very convenient for us as it was within our hotel building and the décor was exceptionally clean and classy. They have amazing food and the service is one of the best I’ve experienced. Your steak will melt in your mouth.

We wish we could had had more time to enjoy dessert — next time we will start there!!! Our party of seven had an incredible time savoring a wonderful amuse Bouche of salmon crudités, the most colossal and perfect shrimp cocktail, crisp and tasty salads, incredible calamari, tasty flatbreads, and the most perfect iced tea you can get. We also missed tasting from a the wine menu but it is extensive and impressive. Next time for sure. Main courses of incredibly presented Salmon with a pesto crust, local diver scallops so perfectly done they melted in your mouth, and a fillet that was so tender and juicy. The sides– oh the sides. Scalloped potatoes with bacon, mac n cheese, asparagus, and magical mushrooms. A meal in themselves. And the piece de resistance is a side of thick, smoky, sweet BACON. Rivaled the best steak you could order. Didn’t flip for the $ 140 Kobe steak but would have if the table gods had been kinder to us. The bar area in the front is classy and inviting. The hostesses and all serving staff are top notch. The chef outdid himself and even came out to check on the diners. Will be a go to spot next time we are in town.

Right now Roberts is as good as it gets in AC. The food was off the hook. It was our servers first night serving as they were a little short staffed. He was brilliant. He did not miss a beat even when his tables picked up. He knew we were heading to a show and kept tabs on the time for us. There aren’t words to describe how great every bite truly was. «You get what you pay for» could not be a better cliché! Yes, Roberts is very expensive, which is sad because everyone cannot afford to try it just once! But I’ll recommend it anyway. If you’re going to have one of those splurge dinners and are in AC, I would definitely eat at Roberts.

Having eaten lobster from Maine to Florida, the preparation & presentation by Roberts chief was the best ever. Exceptional doesn’t do it justice. If dining at Roberts, you must order the Roberts salad. I guarantee you have never had anything like it before. Delicious. The décor is comfortable & classy. 5 stars doesn’t do it justice. Treat yourself. It is worth it.

Great food and service. I actually liked the steaks better here than the old homestead.

Amongst the sh! t show of Atlantic City and the declining grace of what was once glamorous Taj Mahal, you’ll find solace in this«lesser» known steakhouse. The décor is tastefully chic and the service is impeccable. Both the Porterhouse and the bone in ribeye are tender and well aged. But I would avoid the Waygu beef carpaccio which doesn’t justify its steep price. Nevertheless, it’s a great alternative if you are turned off by Bobby Flays attitude or can’t secure a last min reservation at the Old Homestead. If the management is reading this, please quit charging $ 3.50 for each a coke refill when your guests just spent $ 110 per person… its a bit silly don’t you agree?

Simply the best steakhouse in Atlantic City. From the drinks to the steak to the service it doesn’t get any better. Every time I go I try something different. Last night I had the most amazing chop. Great edge salad and you MUST try the everything fries. Delicious. Price is on par for a great NYC steakhouse. Highly recommended.

Though pricey, Robert’s doesn’t disappoint! Customer Service: We were seated quickly and received complimentary appetizer samples from the chef. Our server Christine was delightful, full of energy and was very attentive. Food: We rib eye steaks with some of the garlic and herb butter which were not needed in the least! It is almost a travesty to cover these delicious steaks in anything that even has a remote possibility of taking away from their natural flavor. They were seasoned very well and had a great crust. We additionally had the creamed spinach which was quite good. Wine: We ordered a tasty malbec and a riesling, the named are escaping me now, but they were from the by the glass list which should narrow it down a bit. Overall I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely make my way back; keep an eye for us Christine!

I have been to Roberts i Taj a few times for special family dinners and it has always been a great experience with the exceptional service. I am normally one that loves to grill prime and choice cut steaks at home because I hate paying for a steak that I can grill better! Roberts is really good and the Kobe beef steak is one of the most flavorful and tender steaks I have ever had! It is by far superior to the outbacks, ruth crisp, mortons, William douglas and so on. I usually order a kobe, and ribeyes to share with family and if we want a lean steak we do the ny strip. They are all great, and make sure you try all the different steak sauces and they cut the steaks for you if you ask them to serve it that way. The sides are just ok and little expensive but the comp desserts are delicious!!!

I’d give the atmosphere alone five-stars. This is definitely somewhere you take someone when you are trying to impress them. The steak is done perfectly and the drink selection is vast. Not to mention the live entertainment by the fireplace=lit bar was perfect. …but as we were eating dinner, we saw a mouse. A number of times. Scattering across the dining room like he ran the joint. When we told our server, he acted as if nothing had happened(which I know is what he’s supposed to do). Instead of trying to give us the works to hush us, we were offered a VIP experience to SCORES… really dude? All in all, I’d recommend Robert’s Steakhouse as one of the better restaurants in AC, but know that there’s a chance you will be taking a trip to Disneyland as well.

My hubby and I came here to have a nice romantic dinner before the party began. For appetizer we had the tomato and mozzarella with basil. It was really good. The only slight problem we had was the mozzarella was room temperature and not cold like the tomato, but the sweet balsamic vinegar on top was beyond addictive. In between they gave us some type of poached pear with bacon the chef sent over. I’m not a fan of pears but this was amazing. Then we had our palettes cleaned with the lemon sorbet. Nothing out of this world but very refreshing. For our main entrees, he had the rib-eye cooked medium-rare. Was very tender and it was a huge portion. I ordered the filet mignon also medium-rare. The meat literally melted in your mouth. We ordered two sides: the wild mushrooms and the loaded French fries. To say these fries were amazing is an understatement! My recommendation would be to only order one side because it is a lot of food. My two complaints that we had were for a nice, dark, quiet and romantic restaurant the girls looked like they belonged on the corner street. I’m all for cleavage but not in a place like this. Our waiter was very nice and friendly but towards the middle of dinner he disappeared and it took us about 20 minutes to try and pay our check. All in all this place is my new favorite steak house since mine closed in NYC. The owner came over to talk to us and was very nice. Food is beyond amazing and we will be coming back here again for sure, absolutely incredible. I was full until the next day!

When you walk into the steakhouse, the atmosphere is dark and quite romantic. I came here with my family of 6. Not knowing how big the sides and ribeye would be, we definitely over-ordered. The waiter brought out some bread and butter and it was quickly devoured since we were so hungry. We ordered sliced bacon, creamed spinach, everything fries, onion rings, caesar salad, and broccoli rabe for appetizers. I was hoping the bacon would be thick sliced just like Peter Lugar’s. Instead the bacon was just thin and lacking fat. My fav appetizer was the everything fries, just so crispy and full of different spices. For the entrees we thought it would be a good idea to order one ribeye per person. which left us with plenty of delicious leftovers. Even though the ribeye did not come out drizzled in oil fat it was still good. Place is pretty pricey but if you have comp dollars, use em here cause service is great and you’ll be stuffed at the end of your meal!

Ok, I’m completely stuffed right now. We started with a Caesar salad which was one of the best I ever had, super creamy dressing and tasty till the last fork. For Entrees, we had filet with smoked gouda and figs. And rib eye for one along with everything fries. Aioli sauce for the fries was a nice compliment along with the two house sauces for the steaks. Service is very good and accomodating. Overall I think the cost of the steaks are a bit high, thus the 4 stars.

came here with a group of friends and had a wonderful night with good food and great company :) the service was awesome~ really attentive, patient, knowledgeable of the menu, and provided wonderful suggestions– we ordered sooo much food i don’t even know where to begin! APPETIZERS: — caesar salad — DONOTORDER there is nothing special about it and the portion is really small especially for that price. — lump crab meat — very meaty~(lol no other way to describe it since it was just cooked crab meat) it does come with 2 dipping sauces(cocktail and tartar sauce) it looked mightly fancy served in a margarita glass — oysters — you order by the shell. since they had several kinds, the waitress suggested we get couple of each~ which was perfect so we could try all of them– so don’t be afraid to ask. — lobster chowder — yuuuummy! it wasn’t a thick broth like what you would expect for most chowders. it was still very creamy and savory with corn, lumps of lobster meat and topped with scallion. lol i was joking with my friends that if they bring me ramen noodles, that could be my meal right there lol so that gives you an idea what kind of soup it is. seriously, it will go GREAT with noodles~ if only, that’s an option on the menu lol ENTREES: — rib eye — delicious! love the seasoning on top. it wasn’t heavily marinated or seasoned like how some steakhouses do it which i like. i want to TASTE the meat not solely the salt or pepper in my mouth. the waitress said 9 times out of 10 she will get the rib eye and the 10th time she’ll get the porterhouse. sooo we went for it! not bad for our first visit. next time i’ll definitely go for something more unique. — mushroom risotto with truffle oil - do i need to say more? truffle pretty much explains it all lol we got this to share and it was so mouth watering but when is food with truffle oil not addictive-ly tasty? SIDES: — Potato Gratin with Bacon - not too bad, really heavy in butter and with bacon on top– i couldnt help but think that i’m going to have an imminent heart attack o-o haha — mac and cheese — for whatever reason, i couldn’t stop eating the mac and cheese! guess it was fabulous.(?) lol just order it~ great to share too. OVERALL: lovely place, classy décor, leather seatings, rooster and fish water pitchers, sophisticated ambiance like i should be holding my pinky up when drinking water… menu is definitely on the pricier side. i would recommend coming here if you’re bringing a date or trying to impress someone~ but if you’re drunk and don’t care what you throw down your stomach– kinda like how my friends and i were, it might be a waste of money. this is why i mentioned the service was superb b/c we had a lot of stupid and repetitive questions and they still treated us like kings and queens and helped us through the«difficult» ordering process: P A great day well spent in AC

AMAZING! Came for a friend’s birthday dinner, there were 4 of us. I had a glass of Malbec, but everyone else in my party raved about their dirty martinis. Our server was great, wish I remembered his name. Filet cooked perfectly and comes with 2 dipping sauces?! YES! The mac and cheese side was awesome. Ambiance was so nice. It was a Sunday night, it seemed kind of dead in there, but our server informed us that they were normally closed on Sundays and just started doing Sunday services, about 2 weeks now. Make a reservation the day before if you can.
