Very expensive to get in at $ 25. You have to order 1 drink and that was expensive also. Comedian’s were weak. Not a good experience.

Hot dingy dank place… 25 bucks to get in with a 1weak drink minimum. …to see OK comedians needs a makeover

2nd time at comedy stop for the magic show: Joe holiday. Great show for all ages and one activity had 8 audience members assist, mostly children, which made the event extra memorable for them and their families. Joe was great and the show was great. I should have eaten at the comedy stop, but ate at the tropicana fiesta buffet instead, and will never eat at the buffet again. the menu at the comedy stop is very affordable and good quality. 1drink minimum sodas /ice tea $ 4, juice $ 3.50, smoothie or shake $ 6, alcoholic drinks more of course. Line up early 5:30 — 5:45 to get a good seat. Overall I highly recommend this for all families, but especially those with kids. joe asked who was celebrating and recognized them. Overall a warm environment that was enjoyed by all. Don’t confuse this show with the comedy acts, this magic show starts at 6:30 and ended at 8:00pm perfect for children.

Far from head lining comedians but Ive been three times and always had a good time. Tickets are reasonable, the drinks are pretty expensive but they are everywhere in A.C. Ill go again

Saw magician Joe Holiday last week. The show was great — entertaining for both kids and adults. Some things were fun geared towards families. Some things were just GREAT magic. The show was a lot of fun. I’d recommend it to anyone… especially families.

Came here as part of a bachelor party weekend and had a great time, more so than I would have thought at the Comedy stop. Large spacious venue with table as well as theater seating. Didn’t try the foods since we just came from a big dinner but everyone in the party got a drink per the one drink minimum. Service was good. Ladies in skimpy clothing offering great and attentive service. The crowd was a bit older(ie 30s and later, lots of couples who’ve been married for decades) And of course what made it a great night were the comedians. Lewis Ramey and Gary Deleny both shined on stage and offered up refined punchlines and raunchy humor. Gary was multi-talented and incorporated music and guitar parodies in his bit. Overall a great time.

We went on a Saturday night and bought tickets for the 9pm show. We were told that the only seats available were stadium seating. The girl at the ticket window didn’t know if we still had to buy drinks or could order food at the stadium seats. She offered to ask her boss which we didn’t feel like waiting around for. The night had a one drink minimum. We bought the tickets regardless and came back for the show. The entrance was small and crowded with male employees wearing old satin black members only jackets. When we were seated, they put us at a table near the wall. I think they were trying to be nice by giving us a table but it was the worst table to be in and I’d rather have taken the stadium seat which would have given us a straight ahead view of the stage. The show had three headliners which were ok for the ticket price $ 27. The drinks were small and the scantily dressed servers(they seriously should reconsider the uniform styles) had mediocre service. They forgot our drinks and another server tried to also take our order. There was also a photographer who took our picture while we were seated at the table. Overall the show was ok for a quick late night spontaneous event. I think I would have been disappointed if I was really looking forward to the show and bought tickets in advance. When the show was over the comics were standing outside the theater trying to sell their t — shirts and CD’s which was awkward with the rush of people leaving the theater. The photographer also had a table set up in the hallway with all of the photos displayed in cheap acrylic frames that I’m sure cost an arm and a leg. We didn’t stop to find out.

Three headliners on each show. There’s no other comedy club like this.

I wish I can give this a zero star. I was not impressed. Went on Sunday March 23 and the comedies were horrible and vulgar. What waste of money. I wanted to laugh and I didn’t. The drinks were also horrible. I had a skinny colada and it tasted like colada and club soda. What a horrible night.

I went there Saturday and it was a terrible, terrible experience. The waitress took 40 minutes to get our drinks and then never came back to check on us. The food and drinks were overpriced and of bad quality. When we got there, they told us in order to get a table, we should wait in line(we were first in line) and we ended up waiting much longer than they told us would in a hot hallway. They let several groups just walk in right ahead of us and when I asked why, I just got a blank stare. They did not have special reservations but just walked in ahead of the long line of people waiting. We subsequently got one of the worst tables in the room. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was ignored twice and proceeded to watch her sit down and enjoy the show instead of acknowledging us. When I approached her, I got an insincere and bored apology for the service(not the line) and nothing else. The comedians were really not funny. Most of the jokes sounded like they had found them on the internet 5 minutes before the show. Have you heard the joke about the schoolgirl named L-a(Ladasha)? Yup that was a big joke for one of the comedians. They were recycled and outdated. Every single act commented that the audience was quiet and it was because no one was laughing. Save your money and do anything else at the Tropicana.

Excellent very entertaining and if you search the papers there is a two for coupon. There is a requirement that you also purchase a drink during the acts. I don’t know what happened but we paid $ 38 plus tip for one unsweetened nonalcoholic, one nonalcoholic beer and one Piña Colada nonalcoholic. So I would say very expensive(more than $ 12 a drink! That is really expensive, at least put it on the price of the ticket, don’t pretend 3 non-alcoholic drinks should in any form cost more than $ 12(this is what cost them a star. Will certainly return again.

Saw Joe Holiday. He was quite good! I wouldn’t say he did anything I haven’t seen before, but he did impress with more classic tricks. Our waitress was good. 1 drink minimum per person. Milkshake pleased my son & my hubby liked his non-alcoholic strawberry daiquiri. My blood orange Cosmo was ok, but sort of tasted like jello and it cost $ 10(it was not a lg drink by any measurement)!! Add a pineapple juice & a sprite, our drink tab was $ 32! We chose to have the dinner added to our show tickets. Separate menu from the a la carte prices, beverages NOT included. For $ 10, we could pick from grilled chick w/rice pilaf, chick parm w/penne, spaghetti w/meatballs, or a 4th choice that I can’t remember. Hubby said the grilled chick wasn’t bad but the rice pilaf was actually fried rice. Chick parm was ok, nothing special. NONE of the entrée choices had veges. For $ 5 for kids, they could get grilled cheese, personal cheese pizza, pasta, or a 4th choice. The grilled cheese was actually really good, especially if you like butter. The pizza to me was not good, but my son seemed to like it.

We took the kids to see Joe Holiday last night. I thought he was okay… the little ones liked him the most. We went ahead and paid for the dinner as well, so it was $ 135 for 5 of us. I ordered the chicken parm which was fine… however they serve the food on plastic plates with plastic utensils(I’ve never been anywhere in public where they do that… other than boardwalk foods of course) A soft drink is included with dinner… they serve it in a small glass and if you want another one it’s $ 4.00. When I tred to order my son an iced water, I was informed that it would be $ 4.00 for a bottled water. Just wanted to share my experience. What I thought to believe would be somewhat of a reasonable priced night out for the family, turned into a high priced night, a little bit of magic/comedy, and dinner served on plastic ware :(

What is better than crazy laughing out loud? I have been to the shows many times over the years and can’t wait to get back again to laugh so hard it hurts. The comedians are hilarious and always offer a great show with many many laughs. The Comedy Stop at The Tropicana is my favorite Comedy show.

Laugh Factor– 5– I wish I remembered the name of the comedians because they were hilarious and were interactive with the audience without being disrespectful. We were here on a Saturday night. Service– 2– It was $ 30/ticket with a 1 drink minimum. We arrived a bit early like they recommended. We waited approximately 15 minutes for a server and even tried to waive one down but couldn’t get her attention. Since the show was starting in a few minutes but had not started yet, we walked to the front where the bar is and ordered drinks from the bar. About 20 minutes later when a server showed up, she informed us that the drinks we ordered at the bar don’t count and we will be charged for drinks regardless of whether or not we ordered any from her. I don’t understand this– the bar is part of the Comedy Shop– we paid the bar at the Comedy Shop so why would this not count as a drink towards our minimum required drink limit especially when the servers were super busy and couldn’t keep up with all the orders and provide everyone service?! I understand that the servers need to be able to make tips but if they can’t even get to everyone, they need to hire more servers or not have a drink minimum.

This was an awesome night out! 3 headliners, all were funny, and all made it an amazing show. Didn’t expect it to be a small place so even though I was in front anywhere in the place would have been a good seat. Would recommend to anyone 18+.

My favorite comedy club! Even though I despise Tropicana(as I’ve said in several of my other reviews,) I will keep going simply for the Comedy Stop. If you are like me and really appreciate small-time comedians, check out the Comedy Stop. It is a little pricey; $ 30 per ticket on a Saturday night, with a one-drink minimum. But it’s such a fun night out! Everytime I’ve come here, I’ve left sore from laughter. I’ve seen some of the funniest comedians ever here. They do have a local’s discount on Friday nights if you show your ID. I love the atmosphere and the way the room is set up. Yea, it looks kinda run-down and like a ghetto… but I mean, you are in AC! I say that with a heart full of love for my favorite city. Drinks are pretty expensive, so have your one and be done if you don’t feel like spending the money. Service is very good; the cocktail waitresses are friendly and attentive. I’ve been to the comedy clubs in Philly… they’re really nothing special. And they’re waaaaay more«ghetto» than AC. Come enjoy yourself at the Comedy Stop!!!

There are much better comedy clubs in Philly. The room at the comedy stop is badly assembled with cheap hotel conference room chairs & long tables which are packed in to the point where you cannot see the stage well. To solve this problem they installed flat screens in the corners of the rooms so you don’t have to either turn your head like a owl to see the stage if you get the misfortune of being seated with your back to the stage like I did. So moving on, as Nicole said if you come here bring lots of money because there is the one drink minimum on all shows on top of the price of admission. Being that this is in the Tropicana casino you will pay through the nose for drinks served in small plastic cups or domestic beers. The level of talent that is brought here is lacking as well. I have seen armatures that knew how to work the mic better than one of the three comedians I saw here. So save you money up for a long time and go to the Borgata and see a real comedian.

Going for a good laugh? Well worth it! Going for drinks and a good laugh? Better bring lots of money! There is a one drink minimum for this club — which is what I usually stick to. If you live in the area you get discounts on tickets by showing your driver’s license(check the website for info on what nights this applies to). I have been here several times and have yet to leave able to breath — from laughing so much!
