I visit The Rim as often as I visit Atlantic City… which is about 3 – 5 times a year. This place serves Asian meals, hibachi and open-grill styles. The meals are freshly cooked on the spot and in the open where the customer can see the entire cooking and preparation process. Prices are adequate but you get your money’s worth. The overall meal, including portion size, taste, price, presentation and experience get an A++ The Rim is located in 1000 Boardwalk(Atlantic City, NJ), on the main floor of the Trump Taj Hotel and Casino.

We are a Family of six and got hungry on a Saturday night, looking for something homey… boy. I tell you, serving were moderate and the Beef with Broccoli was the bomb! It has a little bit more sauce, which I Loooooove, along with my steamed rice. Delish!

Perfect for a quick meal and go, especially if everything around is closed. Their phở isn’t bad for a regular noodles bar. The majority of the dish here are pretty yummy. I would advise staying away from the small side dishes such as fried dumplings or spring rolls. It’s very greasy and not tasty at all. It’s a noodle bar, why would you want to go and try other stuff instead of their noodles soup.

Service was okay, came and ordered phở and kimchi. A few slurps into my phở I realized my soup tasted. metallic? Or almost like the meat in the soup wasn’t cleaned properly, or at all. Wouldn’t come back, as there are far better restaurants in the hotel and in the vicinity.

Great service and very quick food ! The pork noodles were delicious. One bowel is more than enough for two people. Nice cup of tea is given to you.

We came in for lunch. Food was ok. Our waiter was excellent. The staff wasn’t busy so they hovered over our shoulder a lot. Glass was dirty and they replaced it. Didn’t expect a bottled soda and plastic utensils for sauces at the price being charged. Very average in our opinion.

Hi I’ve been here a few times in the past and everything was great. The woman made me walk to the bar to get my drink… And when I came immediately back they were resetting up our table… I asked very politely«is my order still in?» — I got a response ITCOMING! And btw they don’t have containers to go :/ouch. Will not come back

Horrible Phở… My mint leaves were rotten, dried up and bean sprouts were dried up on ends and brown. Jalapeños looked freezer burned or old, and they offered very little meat in the seafood Phở. The manager took off one of our meals because of the issue so we only paid for one, but she seemed like she didn’t really care and just credited is to get us out of there quicker.

I went here and a few years ago and I was blown away. Returned this weekend to a tried and true place. Ehhh I was kinda under impressed. We were seated promptly but the service was extremely slow. The kitchen is disorganized. When u fire a ticket complete the table. Some of us are while others said drooling. Food is good. Service needs helps

Good food for the money. Portions are not small and it’s pretty fresh. I enjoyed the dishes and the service was pretty well on point. I would come back here if I ever visit AC again.

Excellent! If you are visiting the Taj Mahal, make sure you stop by. Its open late. The food is fast, hot and an amazing portion. Get dishes to share. The portions are large. The chow fun us my favorite.

We stopped by here for some quick food since we all were hanging out at the Taj casino. Also, we were craving some Chinese food and didn’t want to leave the casino. We had the Hibachi chicken and the general Tso chicken. The food is pretty good but the general Tso chicken was quiet oily. The portions are large so you could get away with one dish for 2 people. That all being said, the food is a bit pricey even for a casino restaurant. Also, for a 8 ounce bottle of soda you will pay $ 3.00 so I would recommend skipping on that.

I’ve been here 3 times, I’ve never had a bad meal, ever. Prices are very good, especially for the casino area. A nice filling dinner for two can be had for less than 30 bucks. I usually get the noodle soup, it’s enough for two people and I barely ever finish it. Their dumplings are homemade and taste like it. The duck noodle soup is loaded with a TON of tasty, savory duck. They have great, fast service. I like to sit at the bar and watch the chefs cook your meal. It’s pretty nifty that they serve you Coke in old school style glass bottles, I love it. Make sure you get hot tea with your meal, it’s some of the best black tea I’ve had and it’s very hot. My only complaint is that one of the dance clubs is next door and the walls are a little thin, so if you’re eating there after 8 or 9pm, it will feel like you’re inside a subwoofer. Overall, great food at wonderful prices.

Stopped in for a late night bite. I had the roasted pork with rice noodles. The roast pork was really what made this meal. The seasoning on the pork was good, the pork wasn’t over cooked, wasn’t overly fatty, was easy to eat with the noodles. My partner in crime had the duck noodles. The duck wasn’t my favorite, especially compared to the pork. They don’t offer much in the way of condiments for your noodles. Quick service, this is what a noodle bar in a casino should be. Over priced, but what isn’t in a casino.

My family was visiting from South Carolina and the meeting spot with them was in Atlantic City, so while in the Taj Mahal we all decided on having the fare at Rim Noodle Bar as our lunch. This was my first time trying the place even though we had passed it numerous times on other visits to Atlantic City. As we were all famished and had limited time together today we kept it all simple to a main course with no appetizers. My parents had orders of Shrimp Fried Rice and Veggie Fried rice respectively while I chose to go with a Seafood soup that had Shrimp, Scallops and Squid in it with Ho Fun noodles(I believe that is what type they were). Needless to say the bowl was sizable and filling and tasted fantastic with only the lightest bit of soy sauce added to the dish. I’ll admit that I should have gone with the rice noodles but the ones I had in my soup worked out well. The portions of seafood in the soup was fine. I also took a sampling of my Dad’s shrimp fried rice which was very tasty. When the check came it amounted to around $ 80 with tip added to the mix. I learned afterward that I could have accrued some use of my Trump Rewards card had I shown them this in advance, so know that stuff before you order anything so you can show a little more money was spent in their casino and hotel spaces. I will definitely consider this spot again and already know what I want to try the next time.

I was introduced to this place by a friend about a year and a half ago. I don’t know how I never came to this noodle bar in all the times I’ve been to Atlantic City. Well, I went there again this past Sunday, right before we left AC to come back home. This is my go-to place for dumpling soup. Unfortunately, it seems to be EVERYONE’S go-to place and is always crowded. Get there early and eat up. Order some veggies and maybe some spring rolls and you’re good to go.
