I must say that the food is quite good and the servers are really friendly, but the management and time management is really a problem. Reservations mean nothing and the owners do not know how to handle the situation. No compensation was offered as a result of the situation. Also, the sidewalk where you park is quite dark and uneven and my husband fell there. The parking lot was muddy from the rain, but there is no sign to say what to do. It is as though the owners just used the place for a summer gig. Other people walked out and told the maitre’d to get his s– together.

The West End Grill to me was enjoyable with the atmosphere being friendly and very Atlantic City with a beautiful view. I went with my Dad and his companion Rose. The server was very friendly and seemed very knowledgable about the menu. They both had the soup of the day which was a chicken vegtable, both enjoyed it very much, it appeared fresh and full of chicken. My dinner salad was very good and the portion seemed appropriate considering it was just that, a dinner salad. Rose had the«Shells and clams» their version of spaghetti and clams, I was impressed with the amount of fresh whole baby clams the accompanined the dish about a dozen little clams, cause everyone knows the smaller clams are the sweetest! I had the crab cakes, deliscious broiled cakes full of lump crabmeat and very little filler, My Dad had the fired shrimp, a generous portion of shrimp and looked absolutely golden brown and cooked perfect, he enjoyed them very much. We were not going to have desert, however our server described everything with great detail and enthusiasim and she informed us that the owner/manager was sending us over a piece of cheesecake, one word WOW, just great! I have been going to this building since it was Teddy’s West End, and a few others in between. One suggestion I did make was to add«black napkins for people who are wearing dark pants. One other thing I would suggest begging Teddy for the original«fried chicken receipe», it was always the best. I will the new owners all the best, and have reccomended this establishment to more then a few people.

CLOSED! NOLONGEROPENFORBUSINESS! But here is my passed opinion… A «SWINGAND A MISS» Lips and I were certainly looking forward to trying this new restaurant. I know many of my fans have been asking about the West End Grill which is situated on the edge of AC and Ventnor. Well, just keep on driving by. the West End is like so many other eateries down by the old Jersey Shore. Charge much, serve mini servings, and even though the food is such a low standard, people will flock to it because its the new albeit lousy kid on the block! Shall we get to the details? First off, Lips looked fantastic with Versace Custom pants. Prada shoes and an Alexander McQueen Shirt. The flashing light bulbs caught us by surprise. We enter and you would think the owners would at least hang some decent artwork on the walls. Cheap movie posters hung by plastic holders? Some of the tables were what may have been granite, other tables were covered in white table cloths, some of the walls were bare. Totally, inconsistent. Everything related to the West End Grill is inconsistent! Menu looked like a half dozen other nearby restaurants. Ok… We ordered appetizers, I ordered the steamed clams in a white sauce while lips ordered the«Las Vegas Clams.» Why these are called Las Vegas we have no idea. The totally inexperienced and Immature waiter brings us our dinner salads. They were decent but SOSMALL it was ridicules! As we were just forking the salads, the waiter brings over our hot appetizers. Why are we being rushed? Why would he bring something served hot when we just began eating our salads? I think the kitchen needs much seasoning as the waiter quickly stated, «he didn’t want to let the hot apps sit there.» My steamed clams were very small, and for 11 bucks was a rip off. The white wine sauce was a greasy bowl of yellow fake butter.(The stuff you find movies theaters using on popcorn) EEWWW Lips’ ap was very enjoyable. Can we say yet again, INCONSISTENT! From the feeling of being rushed we now, wait and wait some more for our entrees. What is happening? Next came our entrees: BOTH confirmed to us that the West End is not a place to come back to. My chicken breast was swimming in what seemed to be whatever was sitting in the kitchen. The plating had so much to be desired. Both entrees looked like someone got sick on the plate! The SMALL chicken breast was tender but it was so over whelmed with olives, feta cheese, tart tomato sauce, some sort of green vegetable. I could not finish it. The baked potato was served in foil. Are you kidding me? Is this 1975? Is Marcia Brady the cook? Lips had the Meatloaf. Dry, bland, tasteless. Seemed reheated in the microwave. Microwaves should be banned from a decent restaurant. It KILLS the food! Lips ordered his Broccoli well done. he had to send it back 3 times to get it as ordered. The waiter tried but was/is over his head. Having kids be servers(typical for the Jersey Shore) when the price points are 40 dollars per person is just perverse. I am sure there will be a line on a Saturday nights during the summer, I know we won’t be in that same line. Fatty says… sorry I’ll pass!
