This review is for the new renovated inside bar and the new menu. I have been coming here for over 15 years. I’m not sure if there was a change of ownership throughout those years but there has been a few different renovations. The latest reno, so Glad there are new friendly people(better looking than that old grumpy man who hates people). There seems to be more bar type promotions. I.e. Hump Day Deals, Happy Hour Beers are still $ 4, can’t get that anywhere in AC The wings are not the same, not as good as before. Still edible. The new cheesesteak Eggroll are good but the shell is too thin, there are no sauce for it. They knocked down the wall between the dining room and the bar and it looks great. Wonder Bar is known for their deck, no one wants to sit inside where it’s dark and dingy. But now the inside bar is brighter and cleaner, you can see the bay and bridge.

New owners! Newly renovated inside! This place is still awesome in the summer out on the deck, but the new owner completely renovated the inside bar! It looks amazing! It’s not dark and dreary anymore. It’s bright and they have so many TV’s now. Great football specials too.

I live in Sparks Nevada. I have been trying get someone at this bar to answer the phone to no avail for the last 5 days. Left voice mails. No return calls. I am trying to set up a gift account for a friend. No website or e-mall address. I cannot figure out why my friend likes this place.

While on a gorgeous day out on the water in September, my group and I decided to dock at Wonder Bar for some lunch. We were literally the first people there and waited a super long time for our lunch to actually arrive once ordered. Our whole dining experience took longer than an hour and a half! Not off to a great start… Once our meals actually arrived, everything was just ok. My shrimp wraps were fine. The shrimp was a bit overcooked. I also tried the clam strips but barely tasted clam because there was so much breading on them. I will say that the fries were good though. Another person in our group did like their fish tacos too. I bet if we went back for drinks at night, it would have been much better. All and all, it was ok.

We had early dinner on the deck. Nice, fun atmosphere. They spun the wheel for a free drink when the drawbridge went up. Fresh food, no problem with service. Beautiful sunset. Table next to us misread the happy hour special for the night and complained, when it was clearly their own fault. The manager was nice enough to give them the special price.

Been here for 2 ½ hours. Just getting our food we ordered. They need to get there act and management together.

Great mussels here, the outside deck is nice but parking with a boat can be tough. They have a mid sized menu and average drink selection, but the food is excellent.

The food changed! I use to love the chicken wings here now they are mediocre at best. Spicy clams got smaller too still taste the same tho.

The food is good but service is terrible. I’m in a wheelchair but there is plenty of room. Because they were having a party upstairs took forever to get to our order. Server was running around trying to look busy at the same time. Will go back but not soon.

Wb’s #1 Best Seller By Sea jumbo lump crab cake sandwich served with coleslaw and chips 11.50 The weakest sandwich I’ve ever seen and it came with a bag of chips? My crab cake sandwich was essentially ¼ pound patty on some stale bread with a pickle on the side for $ 11.50. I’ll never go back.

Such a disappointment. My family and I attempted to eat here on Saturday night. 6 out of 8 of us ordered their famous chicken burgers. The order was placed and then the waiter comes over to tell us they are out of chicken burgers. It was downhill from there. The waiter and more importantly the«Manager«had terrible attifudes and were extremely rude. We were there for a matter of 20 mins before we decided to leave and only had drinks served to the table. We asked for the check and they had the nerve to add gratuity to the bill. NEVER going back there again!!!

Dine with the locals here. Wanna see your favorite bartender or that sexy hostess, we’re here. The food is phenomenal. The drinks keep coming. Service is great. And it’s a awesome after hours place. I always get the clams in white sauce and treat myself with the scallops wrapped in bacon. My girlfriend just got the seafood nachos, they are spectacular. I know, I tried them and kept trying them. So good. Their wraps are great. Fries are good. Everything is amazing.

I wonder how many tourists in AC never leave the boardwalk? Eat with the locals. We had lunch on the patio this warm March afternoon, watching it the ducks and gulls in the water. Great pork in the pork tacos, more than decent wine selection, friendly service and everything priced to sell.

We used to love the wonder bar until we visited last Friday. My wife was eating a wrap and a live bug crawled out of it. Needless to say we immediately left. They only took her wrap off the bill even though I was leaving mine, but In their defense I let the waiter handle it and never asked for the GM. It’s a shame because we loved this place prior to this visit, now I doubt I will ever get my wife to go back.

It’s a great place with a view to grab drink, especially out on the deck, but I wouldn’t recommend going to eat dinner. I’ve eaten here a few times and the last time I ate here my girlfriend and I both got good poisoning from eating the calamari appetizer.

Will never go there again. Horrible service. Me, my mother, and wife were treated horribly(yelled and threatened us) by the owner Fred, when we politely voiced our dissatisfaction with the small portion size and the time it took to make. Went there on a Friday night, and it was not very busy. Ordered the calamari which took over an hour to come out. The portion size was small for the price(9.50).

Wonder Bar is one these places that I rely and never have a problem when it’s a late night in Atlantic City or a little afternoon hop around the town. I always find a quick meal and a few drinks relaxing at this place especially since the place is a bit dim lit at night. Don’t get me wrong this is typical bar food but some things are better then others and there food is above average if I’m putting bar vs bar into a food shoot out. Beer selection is decent not the cheapest in town but variety is good enough to keep even your craft beer snobs happy lol. I tend to opt for the bacon avocado chipotle chicken wrap which IMO can vary by who’s in the kitchen making it when it comes to excellent or good. Never a hit or miss at this place with me I’m a fan for years now!

4 stars? Get out of here unless it’s solely based on its late night convenience and intoxicated memories. The only reason it gets 2 stars is for the killer location and huge deck on the water. The beer selection was far from plentiful and pretty expensive. I decided a good bet would be to order the #1 bestseller menu item, a chicken avocado chipotle wrap. There was no chipotle and it was slathered in approx. 4 gallons of mayo. My manfriend went with another bestseller and got a crabcake sandwich that came on the saddest piece of bread I’ve ever seen. Imagine a slice of wheat bread where someone took a cookie cutter and cut out the middle. That was their idea of a bun. He said the contents were nothing to write home about. The service was pretty bad in the respect that I think we saw out waitress once for an order then a long time after the meal for a bill. Baby’s thirsty. I need more water. Whiny? Maybe. But, when I’m going out and can’t do it myself, I expect someone else to take care of the situation. The whole deal ended up costing a fair bit of $$ for a pretty unsatisfying meal. I’d rather drive the extra hour back to Philly and get some real grub.
