Dinners, pastries, prepared meals are top notch. Great selection of pizza. Must try the onion pie. Though regular pizza could have more flavor, and crust is a bit tough. Definitely high quality ingredients, fresh mozzarella, etc, but I prefer Pomodoro’s up the street for a great tasting pizza.

Best pizza in the area! We won’t go anywhere else for a pie. Thin, delicious, crispy crust; high quality cheese; and other toppings. The deli offerings are also superb — made to order and fresh. Additionally, they have a nice selection of imported food items for sale; we buy our olive oil here, made by the owner’s family. The owner and his son are genuinely nice people who care very much about the quality and presentation of their food. Friendly staff. Tables available for eating in. We’re so happy to have Gianni’s in AH.

Went to get a sub and something for my wife for dinner tonight. Looked over the BIG sign at the deli describing all of the sandwiches, asked some questions about them and ordered a turkey sub for what was posted as 7.99. I also got some other items. The sandwich was labelled at 8.99, which I noticed as the lady was ringing up the order, I told her that the HUGE sign says 7.99, and she told me she did not know what sandwich I had ordered(sort of «I don’t care» attitude). I went back to the deli counter and told the guy the sign we were discussing says 7.99 and he told me the little piece of paper behind the counter says 8.99 and the sign is wrong. I told him that posting the wrong price is misleading and generates bad will. Anyway, I bought the sandwich, which was ok, but I could not stop thinking about being charged more than the sign displayed and then made to feel like it was unimportant and that somehow the problem was with me. At least now I feel better since someone(you) are listening to me. Good Luck at this place. Ask how much each thing costs since the prices listed for display are misleading.

first time ordering from here, and the last. ordered a large pepperoni pizza, paid for a large pepperoni pizza. received a plain pizza. no pepperoni. I’m here on orders with the military with a bunch of other guys, and only came here because my guys recommended it. they offered to give me a pepperoni topping«free» of charge next time, is it really free? no its not, because I’ve already paid for it, like i put the topping on lay away i guess. but ill never get it because i am here on short orders and leave tmrw. if you ever go here you can mention me, the tall asian guy you forgot the pepperoni on his pizza, and tell them that i said you can have my «free» topping that ive already paid for. you’re welcome. if there is one thing i cant stand being in the military, it is incompetent people, if there was ever an incompetent olympics, this place would win the gold medal. pepperoni, on a pizza, thats really hard work right there. screw this place,

It’s a great family owned business. They have a way to go, but already the food is far superior to anything else in the area! Sandwiches are beyond amazing. We met one of the owners tonight. I have a feeling that this is going to be the go to place! Definitely give it a shot!!!

I’m so sad I only discovered Gianni’s on my last day in the area. I was looking for a place to grab a quick lunch with the hubs. The great Unilocal reviews led me to Gianni’s. It’s a cute little Italian deli on one side and a pizza parlor on the other. I ordered the Atlantic Highlands Special sandwich. It was made fresh and was huge and delicious. I got half wrapped to go. I didn’t eat any pizza but it looked really good.

Impressed. We ordered a large pie half cheese and half mushroom and large and small order of calamari. It was delivered and was not a long wait. The pizza was delicious. The calamari was undercooked and disappointing. We returned it and received a refund. They offered to re-fry it or make another Bach but after the first one I was not convinced that it was going to be good. They refunded my money and a little after I returned home my door bell rang. It was the delivery driver and he stated that the owner made this calamari for me and wanted me to have it free of charge. It was so much better and what I expected the first time. I am impressed by the owners insistence to make sure that we were please. Great costumer service

I have a close friend who recently lost their father and felt the need to send food over rather than a floral arrangement. I live in North Jersey and called them based on a recommendation from a local on their food platters and delivery service. As my Irish would say, CLASS. Had to call it in and they were wonderful. Worked on the pricing and promised to make it special, and from what I heard it was amazing. Thank you so much. If I lived down there you’d see me all the time.

A great addition to the Atlantic Highlands food scene, Gianni’s, from the outside appears to be just another Pizza joint. Passing by based on that judgement would be a mistake. The pizza is a delight, from the thin crispy crust, the tangy sauce and the efforts to thwart the trend toward an over abundance of cheese. The specialty pizzas take that fantastic foundation to another level by creating unique flavor combinations that honor classical Italian flavors. But deciding on to Gianni’s based on the pizza misses the other half of the building. An Italian deli and grocery that is not to be missed. Cases of fresh cold and warm antipasti, home made meats and cheeses and some of the best homemade sausages in the area, Gianni’s is a must try eat in or take out experience.

I just don’t understand how this place continues to get good reviews. I keep going back trying to give it another chance and am consistently disappointed. The sandwiches are weak, consisting of a few pieces of meat on oversized bread. They over-do their prepared dishes with no way to move as much product as they make, leaving food tasting refrigerated and dried out. I’m sadly finally calling it quits on this place. I only give it 2 stars because their pizza creations are pretty differnt than regular fare and not bad given other local options.

Wow… Why don’t places like this exist in Colorado?! Say what you will about New Jersey, but one thing we can do right is Italian food. Gianni’s is a perfect example of this. Fresh mozzarella and ricotta made on site in addition to a fantastic array of freshly prepared meals, pizza, stuffed breads, paninis and sandwiches. The pizza is great, the crust is thin and strikes a perfect balance of being both crunchy and chewy. I’ve tried several varieties and have really enjoyed them all. Their classic pizza(cheese/red sauce) and margarita are both great, or if you are looking to branch out a little they have fairly unique toppings such as eggplant and capers. I also LOVE the sandwiches here. The bread they use is absolutely fantastic. They have several options to choose from on the menu, or you can build your own. I usually make my own and go for something basic– some fresh mozzarella, some sliced buffalo chicken, tomato and lettuce– it tastes so amazing it doesn’t even need condiments! They are also always featuring different sides and entrees that I believe they make fresh daily. You can buy as much or as little as you’d like. Sausage and peppers, manicotti, baked ziti, eggplant rolatini– you get the idea. Everything I’ve tried I’ve enjoyed. The people who work here are enthusiastic, friendly, and seem to love what they do. I hope Gianni’s sticks around Atlantic Highlands for a long time!

Delicious! Authentic Sicilian cuisine: pizzas, loads of varieties of eggplant dishes, house cured mozzarella, ricotta and sausages. The chefs are also owners and are actually Italian. We heard a couple convos in in Italian just over lunch. Reasonable prices, friendly staff! I wish I had a bigger stomach so I could eat more! Omnomnomm

Food was excellent, meats and cheeses fresh and tasty. «Homemade» takeaway was excellent although the soup was just a tad salty for my liking but MUCH less salty than most(I don’t use much salt, more of a pepper guy). Stuffed peppers were delish! Folks in there are friendly and if I still lived in Atlantic Highlands it would definitely be my hangout!

We happened to spend a night at the marina in Atlantic Highlands on 9÷17÷13 Went out for a walk and stumbled upon Gianni’s. They just opened 3 months ago. The moment I walked in, I knew this place was authentic. The smell, the food display… I met the son of the owner also named Gianni, really really nice guy. Warm, big smile. We had a few slices of different pizzas and they were all to die for. We bought a bunch of food to take back with us. They also deliver. This place us the best. Take from someone who’s lived in Italy for 17 years.

Ordered the Anthony Pizza and we were blown away. Fresh Prosciutto, black olives, arugula, pepperoncini’s, on fresh thin crust. Great butcher shop as well and be sure to get there on Thursdays for fresh deliveries of Napoleans because they sell out fast. Everything is made with fresh mozzarella and the owners are young and on top of it.
