Little concerned about small amount of diners at Monday lunch, but everything was very good. Friendly staff and good food. My wife loved the chicken salad and my bacon cheeseburger was above average.

What a disappointment! The white sauce in the clam chowder broke and had an odd taste, like it had cheese in the sauce. It’s hard to imagine getting bad clam chowder in MA, but they managed to do it. Their«Ruben» was a fish filet(not the advertised cod) sandwiched between bad cole slaw and Swiss cheese that was actually pretty good cheese. The fish in the fish & chips was bland at best and the coating was heavy and distracted from the fish instead of complimenting it. All in all a very disappointing and very overpriced experience. We won’t be returning.

I love this restaurant. H&K is the go to place for me and my boyfriend when we are not sure where we want to eat out. The food is always great and the atmosphere and the way the tables are set up is awesome. I love that the booths each have their own covering as it makes for a very cozy feeling. If you are a fish lover, they have amazing fish dishes. I always go for the fish when I visit H&K. I have also been there for breakfast and loved that as well. I have also been to H&K for a rehearsal dinner for a wedding in their function room and they did a great job organizing and making everyone feel welcome and attended to. I would consider having a function here. I always have a good experience at H&K.

This is one of my «I don’t feel like taking a risk this today» places. I’ve been there so many times that I sometimes want to try something different, but often I find myself thinking«I should have gone to H&K» I like their food, I like their service, I know the people who work here, and they know me. Actually, I feel spoiled when I come here: They once brought me a fruit bowl only made with pineapple and berries, because I told them that I didn’t like cantaloupe much, and those two fruits are my favorite. I recommend their«healthy start breakfast» and their«organic egg white omelet»

For being a chain family restaurant in the ‘burbs, H&K does a pretty good breakfast. Sure, I live in Federal Hill and am spoiled by the abundance of hipster brunch spots like Nick’s on Broadway, Julian’s, Kitchen, and The Classic Café — and while its tough to compare these places to H&K(for one thing, no bloody marys or tequila sunrises), for what it is Hearth and Kettle does an excellent job. The breakfasts are reasonably priced and very hearty. The service is quick and the coffee is good. They also serve lunch and dinner, but I’ve never had it. Is it so amazing that I would make a special trip out to South Attleboro just to have breakfast there? No. But any time we have a weekend day planned around running errands on Route 1, we always start with a Hearth & Kettle breakfast.

Came here today for the first time and I thought it was very good. We were seated within a couple minutes of entering. It was about 1:00pm. I ordered a soda and my girlfriend ordered OJ. The drinks took a few minutes to come out but they were really busy. A HUGE party came in right after us(I mean like 20 people)! I ordered the meatlovers omelette with homefries and raisin bread(bonus points right there!) and she had fried eggs, bacon, and sausage with homefries and an english muffin. This omelette was STUFFED with bacon sausage, linguica, and ham and cheddar and swiss cheese. I don’t usually like swiss, but this was delicious! Homefries were whatever, small potatoes with the skin still on, and I thought not a lot of seasoning, and the raisin bread was kinda dry and stingy with the butter, but I can’t remember ever having raisin brea as an option. Again, they were busy so service was kinda slow, but the server was great and the prices wereon the steep side. As someone else mentioned, the drink prices were high. Almost 4 bucks for OJ? Over all, very good and I will be back. By the way, «poop café» this place is not!

Was visiting the area on vacation and decided to try this restaurant twice for breakfast and lunch. The service was incredible! The waitress sat us promptly and very upbeat. The menu is filled with all kind of delicious dishes and had a hard time making up my mind. Breakfast is served all day which I love. Don’t have to feel rushed if we are running late in the morning to still have breakfast. Pancakes are out of this world and the only place that actually gets my egg order right. Hard to find! The lunch menu is also delish. Tried the roasted turkey and gravy sandwich was like having a turkey dinner. portion sizes are large and the price very reasonable. The food always tastes delicious and prompt service on refills and any thing extra. Hate to go to places that you see your server once and then disappears until the end. not here. The nacho with pico the gallo was also so yummy I practically ate the entire dish myself. Would recommend this place to my friends and anyone who wants a great restaurant with yummy eats. Complements to the chef!

We have dined at the Hearth ‘n Kettle a few times and have never been disappointed. There’s no bell’s or whistles to the place just hometown service and food. For breakfast, we’ve enjoyed their omelette’s, pancakes and home fries. For lunch we are a big fan of their Cobb and Caesar Salads. Highly Recommend!

A pleasant dining experience on a rainy Sunday night, and a nice alternative to the more familiar chain restaurants along the Attleboro shopping strip. I enjoyed a hearty bowl of chili and an order of fish and chips. The fish was a tad overcooked, but acceptable.(Though it was odd to have two different fish and chips selections on the same menu at different prices.) Others in my party ordered the steak tips, chowder and burgers with no complaints. And the service was friendly and attentive, too. The entrée and burger prices were good, though the drinks were overpriced — I guess you need to make your margin somewhere. Overall, however, it was a positive family dining experience that we all enjoyed.

Well, I have never… Hearth ‘n Kettle aka«Poop Café» is an insult to anyone who’s ever stood before a goddamn stove. Learn to cook, learn to serve, learn to create atmosphere. Pictures of ducks, for instance, always draw my eye and make me curious to stay, no matter what kind of rush I am in. These people need to clean up their act and clean up THEIRTABLES. A clean countertop is a happy countertop, and apprently these idiots didn’t get the memo. A disgusting abortion of a restaurant.* *Pretty good homefries tho

just came to H&K cause we were in the area. Food was very good overall. they have hot rolls and butter to start. The chicken pot pie was very good. it was served with a light flaky crust and they give a hearty portion. open faced Turkey sandwich has real carved Turkey. grapenut pudding was so good for dessert. Service was very good. I would come back again as an intended destination.

Hungry in the morning? This is your place. You’re guaranteed a hearty and delicious breakfast here. Portions are huge and there is a huge assortment of food. Love that the menu offers turkey bacon and sausage, healthy choices and many vegetarian dishes.

My husband & I go here when we’re feeling like breakfast. The plantation home fries w/butternut squash is yummy. Service is always good, even when they are slammed.

The french onion soup!!! Awesome! I had the chicken salad sandwich, only a half. Good, but not enough chicken salad for me. Mr. Man had a burger, it was good.

I was never really a fan of this place. The food’s not that good and it’s really boring and stodgy. I was invited there for breakfast by a friend of mine and I reluctantly agreed to meet up. The home fries were delicious! I really liked the pancakes, too. And now up is down and down is up and I don’t even know you any more. Our server was friendly and attentive and kept us in coffee the whole time. Will I go back? Maybe, cleverly disguised as a senior citizen.

Not wanting to go to Fridays, Ruby Tuesdays or the 99, hubby & I ended up here the other day for lunch. We chose to sit in the bar area & it was cozy. The décor is very traditional with wooden booths, antique lamps & a great antiqued copper covering the top of the bar. The service was decent — our server was good not to rush us & answer any questions we had regarding the menu. Hubby got a crock of delicious clam chowder & the fish & chips. I got linguine & meatballs, which totally hit the spot. The sauce was tasty without being overly sweet or heavy…& the homemade meatballs, while not as good as mine, were delicious & good-sized.

Visited on a Wednesday night for a rehearsal dinner — we had the back room all to ourselves, and the menu had been pre-planned, so not your typical dining experience. Food was good, not great. Several of us ordered beers, which took quite a while to be served, and then they insisted that we pay for them immediately(apparently that was the requirement). Can’t recommend it, but your mileage may vary for a more traditional dining experience.

Don’t come here for Mothers Day Brunch! We come here regularly for breakfast on the weekends, and the food and service is solid. Great omelettes! Came for Mithers Day brunch twice. Both times it was clear that they just could not handle the volume. We had resevations and still had to wait a ½ hour with 2 young kids in tow. The service was terrible, missing silverware, and an absentee waitress. All other visits have been fine. One of our favorite breakfast spots. Just don’t try this place on Mothers Day or Easter.

After shopping and enjoying a free concert at the local mall up the road, I worked up an appetite and decided to have dinner at the Hearth ‘N Kettle on a Saturday night. The Hearth ‘N Kettle is the typical Cape Cod style family restaurant serving an American style menu with hearty breakfast dishes, sandwiches, wraps, burgers, appetizers, salads, steaks, chicken, seafood, pasta, early bird specials, and desserts featuring Brigham’s Ice Cream. There are two American Flags overhanging very low over the walkways in front of the place, so be careful. Upon entering the place(scratch ticket machine in foyer), there’s a takeout counter and a small bakery case with sweet rolls and pies. The main dining areas are on the left and the tavern is on the right. The tavern with hardwood flooring has seating, TVs, Keno and serves beer, wine, cocktails, frozen drinks, and coffee drinks. The carpeted dining areas have high slanted ceilings with colonial style dcor, rustic wood trim and enclosed & open booth seating and table seating. There’s a fireplace in the main dining room. The service was off to a slow start. My waitress took my drink order, but it took almost 10 minutes before my drink was brought out and my food order was taken. After that, the service was uneventful and timely for the rest of the meal. I ordered the Seafood Cakes($ 6.29) and the Turkey & Stuffing Roll-Up($ 6.99) with fries & pickle. The two Seafood Cakes made with sea scallops, bay shrimp, crabmeat, & red pepper were deep fried(crispy outside & soft inside) and served with a Dijon tarragon mayo dipping sauce, pretty good. The Turkey & Stuffing Roll-Up(thin-sliced turkey, fresh-made cranberry sage stuffing & cranberry mustard mayo) and the fresh cut fries were decent. For dessert, I went with the Ginger Spice Cake($ 3.99) which was served warm with Brigham’s vanilla ice cream, fresh whipped cream & caramel in a soup bowl, a good cake and rich with ginger snaps. Overall, the food I had tasted good and the service and dining atmosphere were generally very laid back and relaxed.
