Twist N Dip

Everything here from the ice cream to the chili dogs are amazing! My boyfriend begs me to go here almost everyday like a little kid lol :) our favorites are the sundaes with Carmel and sprinkles and sundaes with raspberries or strawberries!!! Don’t get the pre packages here you will be so much more satisfies with something homemade :) It truly is the highlight of downtown Auburn Hills!

My husband and I have been here twice — the drive is a bit out of the way from our house and a Dairy Queen is closer to our home. However, I prefer more Ma and Pa places then a chain. I really want to like this place, but I just am struggling.
One time we went on a Friday or Saturday afternoon and the line was long and it took way way too long for us to get our ice cream. The second time we went on a Sunday afternoon and the same thing happen. It almost seems like they take too many orders and then don’t have enough people to get the orders out at a fast enough pace. Right side people are giving their orders then on the left hand side people are all piling up waiting for their ice cream — then some people forget what their order was or are nowhere near the pickup window, then this causes confusion.
The ice cream itself is okay — just standard soft serve, the second time we went I got vanilla ice cream with sprinkles in a cup and it was practically melting as soon as I got it. Service isn’t that friendly and mostly seems like local teenagers are working. Some picnic seating, takes credit cards, and seems like they have a lot of options. However, the wait it takes to be in line and then wait for an average ice cream… isn’t really worth the wait.

This is a nice place to go for some soft serve. I would say the prices are right, they take credit cards and the service is friendly. I have also enjoyed their Nachos and soft baked pretzels.
I am glad this place is here and close to home but I have other places I prefer on the other side of town.

Plus it is conveniently located on the Clinton River Path, in what I consider a very good location, which is smack dab in the middle of my 21 mile route.
They have plenty of benches, picnic tables & a very friendly staff

This is our go-​to ice cream place.
The flurries are really good, you get a pretty generous amount of mix-​ins. The overall selection is pretty good too. One of the more interesting things they have on the menu are 20-​some flavors of soft serve. Plus they have hand scooped ice cream, including my favorite — superman!
The prices are just about the same as any other ice cream place.
