Today I walked in to order the Red Velvet Cheesecake that has been advertised frequently in my area. Also I have overheard some office chatter about it as well. I decided to sneak out of work and drive to the location to check out the Red Velvet, Upon my arrival there was one worker in the store who told me after standing in line 5 to 7 minutes that they had no Red Velvet nor Oreo Ice cream to sale today. The worker offered no alternatives and when I asked if you would give me one add in for no additional charge he said no. I left the store and will not return to this location.

Hidden in the strip mall that isn’t easy to get into this location is easy to over look. It’s on the west side of woodward at square lake. There’s a Starbucks in that strip too so you probably already know it. Come on over, the staff is friendly here even if they appear overworked.

The prices are so high because they are trying to sell you the experience-which isn’t that great. Why would I care that you mix the flavors in with a special spatula? The ice cream is pretty run of the mill and the flavor is average.

I really like this place, the Ice cream, sorbet and service are all excellent.
It’s a little pricey but since quitting smoking a couple months ago, I justify it by telling myself that for less than the price of my daily pack of smokes I used to buy, I can get a medium sized coldstone mixed up and served in a waffle cone :-)
My personal favorite is the Lemon Sorbet with fresh raspberries mixed in.
