Ouch, Beach Hut, not your best performance! Walked in at 7:05pm, doors still unlocked/open, lights on in the windows, and four customers on the patio with full beers and two customers at the bar/counter… And girl working(still tying a bag of bread closed) says, «Sorry, we actually closed at 7:00.» Maybe you don’t know how we work in Auburn, but this is a family friendly, help-each-other-out community. I’ve enjoyed Beach Hut sandwiches at other locations, but won’t come back here. It probably would have taken her less than 5 mins to make a sandwich, and you could have had a loyal customer instead of a detractor who went next door to loyal, tried and true Taco Tree! :(

Always peppy and upbeat. The food is always consistent. You never have to wait too long for your food. The Marley nachos are pretty darn good! Love the fresh ingredients. Down side: can be a bit pricey for a sandwich.

Always the best at this location, never a problem. We always get the Woody. I get it without produce and tabasco and it’s always too much(which is perfect), so I have some for later(;

Funny atmosphere with lots of Meaty Sandwiches, 2 Typical Veggie, and Salads… not too vegetarian/Vegan, but one can manage! Brews, Specials, Grilled, Cold, and popular! Nothing Organic

Our favorite local hangout! Great food, cold beer, and the friendliest employees. Beach Hut on 49 makes you feel like family. An Auburn version of «Cheers»!

This little chain restaurant sits in a small strip mall from the outside it looks like a bar with a beach theme. Woah, when we walked in, it was exactly what I thought it was from the outside. Table tops shaped like surfboards and even a tiki hut bar. And if course nothing but girls in daisy dukes with biker boots. Weird combo, but the single guys and married ones too enjoyed the view. There were several tv’s around with the same football game on. The menu is an overhead right at the counter and a vertical tv displaying the signature crafted beer. There was a family ahead of us that coached us on their favorites and told us to order the small size because they are huge too. I ordered my favorite, the Ruben loaded and my wife the pesto chicken. We paid at the counter, recited our number and waited to be called. Our number was called within 5 minutes and Oh yeah! THe sandwiches looked thick and yummy. One of the girls came by several times to check with guests about the food. This by far, has been the best place we’ve eaten while in Auburn. I would eat here again.

This beach hut deli is much better than the one on the other side of auburn. I live closer to the other one and I’d still rather go to this one. Better service. I’m giving it 4 out of 5 stars though because it took way to long for my food to come out when there was no one there.

Marley nachos with chicken!!! But only a half order! It’s way to much, feeds 3 – 4 for the half order! Staff is friendly, it’s clean, and it’s always chill in there!

Amazing service, we aren’t from the are yet were able to feel right at home. I love the vibe this little deli gives off, truly made me feel like I was somewhere in SoCal! The sandwiches were delicious and full of flavor, every ingredient was fresh and you could truly taste the difference. We had a total of 4 sandwiches and have absolutely no complaints! We will definitely stop by again when we are back in the area! Highly recommend you to stop by and enjoy a delicious sandwich!

Arrived at 8:02 in the evening, apparently 2 minutes after closing. Was promptly turned away by a sandwich artist who was still making sandwiches for some pretty ladies. I guess beach hut is not concerned with making money?

Really good food! They got my order wrong the first time, but remade the sandwich and even without the yummy creamcheese or cheese of any kind — it was still delicious! Bread is soft, beer on tap is delightful, and the overall vibe of the restaurant is really cool and welcoming. The hostess was also really sweet and accommodating when I asked about all the beers they had available. She even gave me a sampler of the fruity one I almost(mistakenly) ordered! Will be back when we’re in the area again!

I actually ate at the one in Grass Valley, but there is no Unilocal acct. for that one. I ordered the Santa Barbara with turkey, which was amazing~ there was a good amount of avocado on it which is totally my jam. this sandwich was well worth the $ 8.00 and I will definately eat there again. The girls working were pleasant and upbeat~

Food is always good but the service is always lacking. To call in an order and still wait in line 23 min is ridiculous. And it’s always like this. You know you’re busy, get more help

Great atmosphere here using the surfing theme, and a bit of the reggae. The sandwiches are a bit more than an average deli, but probably because they use real ingredients. They come a la carte. On the upside, a pint of PBR for 1.75! Yay.

Awful! This place is truly terrible. Stopped on the way from Tahoe heading down the 80 and thought we would try something different than Ikeda’s. So sorry we did. Ordered the medium tuna with cheese. The tuna was dripping in mayo and the cheese we asked for it to be melted. The response to the melted cheese was«this is not Subway and we don’t toast». Well I have never been to Subway and who cares? So they melted the cheese I am guess in the microwave which turned it into a brick. After eating the sandwich — shared with my teenager — we both ended up with upset stomachs. Never again! Stay away.

Great sandwiches! I work nearby and this is our go to lunch location! Always delicious and fresh. Can take a long time to stand in line, place your order and get your food. So just make sure you are not in a hurry :)

I wish there was a Beach Hut Deli up in Oregon so I could go more often. I love their sandwiches… so filling and tasty. I ordered the Surfin’ Cow on Saturday… Roast beef, avocado, bacon and cream cheese… served warm. YUM
