Being from the south, and having some of the best brisket in the world(texas) I have to say that this is pretty close to perfect!!! The sides were hot, I had the week day special(potato with pulled pork) the pork wasn’t greasy like at most places, and the potato itself was tender, and not over cooked /or old. It’s the best bbq I’ve had since being in Washington.

Some of the best BBQ in the state, their brisket is delicious as well as nearly everything else on the menu. I have been there many many times and I always receive the best service, in the rare event that they do mess up your order they are very quick to fix it.

Went to eat lunch today and the meat was so moist and the sweet tea was perfect. The server was sweet and ensured our food was perfect. The tables were clean and the establishment was well-maintained. Will definitely go back.

I’ve been here about 4 – 5 times. The food is absolutely amazing! Holy cow, the 3 meat plate is a great deal and with the right combo of meats and sides it’s mouthwatering. Just thinking about it makes me crave it. It’s usually very fast, at least the times I’ve been there, and it’s usually at around noon or later. The free ice-cream is also a great amenity. My friends really like going here and this has come to be one of our hangout spots when we visit our friend who lives in Auburn.

Went on a recommendation of my boyfriend’s parents. First, the service was great. They were so nice! I didn’t expect that from such a small place that’s part of a chain. Second, the rubs are great and I really enjoyed the sweet sauce. The bread rolls are great. The only reason it lost a star is because their sides are a bit blah. Not big on flavor. But I would definately go back. I wish the chain would come down to San Diego.

If you just need a BBQ fix it will do. People just because the ribs are falling off the bone doesn’t mean it’s perfect. The ribs are over cooked. Ribs are not cheap you get 3 plus 2 sides and a drink will cost you 17 bucks.

Random place my bf spotted after we went shopping at the Supermall so we decided to try it. We both ordered rib plates — As for sides, I had a small caesar salad and jalepeno beans and he had the mac & cheese with green beans ad bacon. RIbs were good, but probably needed a little more sauce. We had to get extra sauce from the drink/sauce station. The sides could use a bit more flavor or pizzazz. Mac & cheese didn’t have much flavor. really plain. The jalepeno beans didn’t seem like there was jalepeno flavoring or pieces in there… but whatev. We did get an order of fries. i think it was free since we didn’t order it. But they let us have it anyhow. We also got a slice of pecan pie and they have a self serve icecream station too. Price should be a little lower than advertised. I think for that price, i would have gotten more and better tasting food at Famous Daves. The place was clean and roomy. It wasn’t crowded or busy during the time we went so that was nice. Overall, the place was good. i think we would go back there only if we were in the area but we wouldn’t travel to go there out of the blue.

«You can’t beat free ice cream!» The ice cream is included with your meal! Great place to bring kids if yours likes BBQ… We’ve visited this location and other locations in the nearby neighborhoods. Each visit was satisfactory. I think it is a little overpriced, but you could always look for coupons in the mail or check Costco or Sam’s Club for possible discounted gift cards. Unfortunately, we do not recall the name of the individuals(two to be exact) from our very first visit which I think took place a couple years ago in the Auburn location sometime during the Fall season. That one holiday season, we had been out looking for Christmas gifts and decide to grab a bite to eat at Dickey’s. Being new to the place, we didn’t know what to expect, but we thoroughly enjoyed our experience as well as meals, so much so, that, we decided to purchase a few gift cards. Since then, we have purchased Dickey’s gift cards every year! None of our visits to Dickey’s since then has been better. Our first visit was the best experience we’ve had with Dickey’s thus far. Honesty, it is our first experience that keeps us coming back! We believe it may have been the manager or owner and one of the employees whom help us make our lunch choices. TIP: Get Your Gifts Cards for Dickey’s from Costco 24-hours in advance.

I ordered a ham sandwich, it was dry. My hubs ordered brisket and pulled pork. He said with a lot of sauce it made it edible. My potato salad side was icy. It was still half frozen =(. My ceasar salad wasn’t too great either. The croutons were blah tasting. As for my husband’s side, he liked his fries, however he didn’t get the mac and cheese till we were already finished. For the food quality, and service. This place is overpriced. But upon leaving they do have free ice cream! I guess it’s to make up for the high priced, poor tasting fast food bbq. You can’t expect much for fast food barbecue, but I do know I will never make a sec trip back.

The quality of the brisket has seemed to go down. Food just isn’t as good as it was, we don’t go much anymore.

This was our first visit to a Dickey’s. I really wanted to like it because the concept of fast food BBQ seems like a great idea. Unfortunately, the meats were extremely overcooked and dry. I had to smother my Beef Brisket in sauce in order to eat it. I should have sent it back but we were in a hurry to get to our appointment. Wife says we don’t need to go there again. I agree with other posters that the staff all seem new. One didn’t know how to use the computer the other didn’t know how much the sides were. All the tables were dirty which is typical of fast food restaurants with bad managers. When I asked«Were do you get the ice cream» I was told Costco. I should have said«Were is the free ice cream?»

I took them down a star since they advertise free ice cream but the last three times it was broken. Seems like it is false advertising and when you bring the grandkids you do not have a pleasant ending. Shouldn’t they have a freezer with ice cream as a backup. What do you compare them to for a rating. They are a fast food BBQ place so you can’t compare them to one of the full service places. We have been there a number of times and for fast food ribs — they are not bad. I find they over cooked many times but with enough BBQ sauce they are OK. You get a decent amount and a number of sides so price for quantity is good. The place is fast food but comfortable and friendly for kids. Most times you get free soft service ice cream but at least twice the machine was broken so don’t get your hopes up.

I’m a little surprised writing this positive review, I’ll first admit. I’ve been familiar with Dickey’s for awhile and if you know me, yes, I hate chains. Especially in comparison to some poor«brisket jerky» I received from Famous Dave’s Puyallup recently, I was happy with some brisket I ordered for takeout. I would avoid Dickey’s like the plague back in Texas, truth be told but we frankly don’t have the same options here. Dickey’s are who they are, this is true. It’ll never been a top notch character having local BBQ place. But for what it’s worth, ordering a half pound of brisket and even ordering it «thick sliced» they delivered. Juicy, moist with good bark. It must have something to do with wrapping the meat in saran wrap, which I’ve seen done before at another BBQ spot.

I am so disappointed. I should’ve listened to Unilocal because I was feeling pressured to choose something to eat for my cheat meal while in the area, so I said«F it» and went for this place as it was the closest BBQ joint closest to me. I am SOSOSO sad!!! This place is like a fast food joint but with honestly poor quality. The food is old and really does taste like fast food. I got their rib plate which is about $ 12.95 I think, and added an extra rib for $ 2. Ugh, I wish I hadn’t. My bf also got a rib meal with two sides. Let me just start my saying that this is the nicest I’m going to get. WHYAREYOURPORKRIBSSODAMNHARD?! The ribs taste literally like beef jerky consistency. The roof of my mouth still HURTS after trying to eat their ribs. The ribs are SO dry, SO old, and NOT properly served. Why would you serve old, dry, ribs that are so hard that it tastes and feels like beef jerky? I’m dead serious. Not only that, if you can reference the one picture I managed to take, the bones are so bare! It literally looked like someone ate half a rib and then gave me the remainder to try. There was barely any meat left on the bones! I’m so angry at a restaurant that would even serve this kind of quality. Even Famous Dave’s, a franchise serves 10x better food; their food is tender, moist, and at least chewable. Sigh. I’m so upset. Their mac and cheese was creamy, but was not really homemade. It tasted like powdered creamy cheese with the noodles. It was definitely like a KFC quality but creamier. Their side caesar salad was probably the«freshest» thing on the menu and I don’t even know how fresh it was considering the croutons were pretty soft almost like bread. Actually, kind of like their dinner roll they try and serve you which is soft and has no real bread texture. Almost tastes like raw dough but oddly, it’s baked. Overall, I would never recommend this place. Choosing a place on the whim and in an area I’m not too familiar with was a mistake. I would rather eat fast food than this place. My mouth hurts from eating this place, and I just can’t even fathom the fact that they really gave me old ribs that were just like beef jerky. Total disappointment! PS. Their service is okay, could be better. But they operate like a cafeteria line: 1 person takes your meat order, 2nd person takes your sides, and 3rd person has you pay. Mehhh.

I had the best experience at this place. Who ever the Mexicana is, Delores, I think: you are a 5 star employee! 1: I am from the south and I am picky about BBQ. I have all but stopped eating it on this coast, because most places don’t know what the heck they are doing. I had the rib plate and it was definitely what the doctor ordered: literally, I am pregnant and the body knows what the body wants according to my doc. 2: The staff was nice, particularly the Mexicana. I think her name is Delores. My husband and I had just come from a long day of house hunting and he brought his cranky, tired attitude with him. He offered to share it with her and she shared her upbeat sweet one with him. She totally won. By the time we left he was feeling like a jerk and wanted to thank her for putting up with him. I read other reviews where people complained that they waited forever to be acknowleged by staff, We were taken care of right away. There was even a long line after us. I will say it would be a better operation if it had one more employee on night staff, but small business owners are idiots everywhere with their understaffing. My opinion: if you can’t afford to pay an extra helping hand, show up to your own place of business and be just that: you probably have two hands! 3: Free soft serve ice cream with your order. Yum. Not the best icecream ever, but its a BBQ joint, not an icecream one so give it a break! I read other reviews where people said it was watery and yadda, yadda. Well you came on the wrong day, my friend, because I left with a cone of perfection and my husband a float to keep him happy. 4. The waffle fries are the best. Seriously, no one ever gets them right. They are always overly soggy or overly seasoned, or they resemble swiss cheese more than waffle fries. These were the perfect combination of soft, but crunchy, seasoned, but no so much that ol preggo over here is worried about sodium overload. **. Check out the deal of the day. You may miss it, because it is by the ice cream machine rather than by the rest of the menu.

Decent BBQ, but nothing to write home about. I like this place mostly for the large selection of meats. Brisket(chopped or sliced), pork ribs, chicken, turkey, polish sausage, and cheddar sausage. Baked potato casserole, and mac and cheese are both decent. I really come here for the fried Okra. I grew up eating it, and it’s something that you rarely see in these parts. The people are nice, the service is pretty quick. The prices are lower than most of the other BBQ joints in the greater Seattle area. I have noted that the meat has been over-cooked one of the times I was there. The brisket was fairly dry, and more resembled pot roast than smoked brisket. So the quality may vary depending on when you go. The sturdy plastic re-usable cups that you get to take with you are kinda neat, and the free soft-serve is a plus.

The past three visits have been terrible, I observed: –New staff on just about every visit. There seems to be a high turnover rate for employees and no one looks particularly happy about what they do. Where is the passion? If you don’t have it, at least fake it! –What I used to think was half decent BBQ, the chopped brisket, has been COLD the last couple of times. A bad stomachache on the last«Big Barbeque» sandwich I ate I believe can be blamed on this order. The only thing left that’s any good looks to be the sausage or hot link. –The soft serve ice cream machine never works right, it almost always gives a loose and liquidy ice cream that melts in your cone down into your hands before you can eat it. I thought it was a fluke the first time but after two return visits, it has been confirmed — I aaain’t coming back, Jack.

10 minute wait to be greeted by the stuff when there’s only 2 of us in line. Should had walk out the door then. But I really wanted to try this bbq joint. 5 more minutes before they ask for my order. Okay its nice to see they complete a order before taking the next persons order. Better be good bbq if I’m standing 15 minutes before I can order. Order the ribs plate with bacon beans and the onion tanglers. I wish I can say my meal was amazing but that would be a lie. Only good thing was the tanglers. My ribs were falling apart, obviously overcook and bland. The bacon bean was bland, and even the dr. pepper had no flavor. They left the membrane on the ribs, so after overcooking the ribs, the membrane stands out. I really wanted to like this place, but the service and food was just sad.

For a chain BBQ, this place is surprisingly omnomnomnom! I wasn’t expecting a lot given it’s chain-i-ness. How could I expect a lot? Do I expect a lot when I go into a Starbucks versus a Vivace’s? No. I don’t. With that, I walked in, with low expectations but was still surprisingly impressed. I got the ribs and brisket, with a side of fried okra and baked potato casserole. The okra was fried fresh, and I’m a sucker for okra. The texture wasn’t slimy and the breading was super crunchy. The baked potato casserole was… Good… I was expecting more casserole texture, but it came out more like loaded mashed potatoes. Nonetheless it was still pretty awesome tasting. The boyfriend and I split our meat, me with the ribs, him with the brisket. The two meat plate came with two ribs, which was kind of sad looking. At least the sides came in good portion to get me full. And at least the two ribs that I DID get were delicious. The meat quite LITERALLY fell off the bone, and the sauce was yummy!!! Aside from all that, customers get free ice cream!!! SCOOOOOORE!
