Hibachi Buffet

Nothing special about this buffet. Another typical Asian buffet. I went around and took a look at the food and nothing was appealing at all. I didn’t really have high expectations of this place so it’s whatever. Food was ok.

The California roll is excellent (5 stars for that) and this restaurant keeps the food stations well-​stocked. The beef has been dry on each of my three visits so I assume it is intentional. Chicken dishes vary in quality from dry to properly moist. (2 stars for consistently dry beef). Flavors are quite good and not too salty. Soups are worth 4 stars and the service is very good. If I could show 3 ½ stars, I would do so.

It’s a buffet and I had to go for a work function. I was scared to eat any shellfish or the like as it’s been sitting out for who knows how long. The customers were… IDK…they were letting there toddlers walk on the tables. So just know the type of place you’re walking into. But the ice cream was really really good!

The dessert was all pretty mediocre to say the least. I will definitely be back for the food though!

Sushi was bad. Pork was gristly. Chow mein was bad. Weird smell throughout most of the dining room. Felt stupid after paying so much and eating so little.

I went there for dinner and had the egg soup and sweet and sour soup. They were pretty tasty. The other choices of food were sub-​par. I had the rice which was not that tasty, sweet and sour chicken was pretty tough to chew and the sauce was neither sweet or sour. The mushroom chicken was ok, the stuffed crab was barely edible… Cheap buffet but still, would not go there again… needs improvement, major. The place was clean though!

Came here for dinner yesterday. Should have been a sign for us to drive the hell away since the parking lot was empty! The quality of the food has gone down the hill. Everything that they had out were stale and old, literally everything! While we were eating, the place had a stench of mothballs that I can taste it in my mouth. NEVER AGAIN! Waste of $ 13 per person. SO GROSS!!!

Food is old, stale and greasy as heck, the floors is hella dirty, service is sh*tty.

Usually I get seafood to go, but in this case you can’t get a 10% discount from Unilocal checking in. The seafood is good, especially salmon. The place is crowded on weekends. Looks clean. The prices are reasonable.

Love all the food at this place. My boyfriend and I go at least once a month and the quality never changes. I really recommend trying it out if you have never been here before

This was our first visit to Hibachi Buffet, and I was very impressed. My husband and I love Chinese food. We love having the option of getting many different types of food. You get a warm welcome when you go in and the staff is always on the floor replacing empty plates, refilling pans and offering any help that you may need. I sampled food that I had never tasted before, and to my surprise I enjoyed most. My favorite is having the «Chef» cook up steak in Mongolian Sauce on the grill. YUM!
The place is bright, clean and spacious. Not only was it clean, a real nice addition is a hand washing station outside the restrooms. The steam table items were just that, steamy. You could see the steam rising and the cold items were on ice. This restaurant is a buffet and there is A LOT to choose from! They have Mongolian Grill with lots of meats and veggies and 4 sauces to choose from (Teriyaki Sauce, Garlic Sauce, Mongolian Sauce & Chow Mein Sauce). They have sushi which is hand made on the premises. They also have a huge selection of entrees and veggies and more to choose from on the buffet. They have super good hard ice cream for dessert along with several choice of fruit and pastries.
Drinks aren’t included in the meal price but they are only .89 each so that is a good price. Nice to finish with a little hard serve ice cream with about eight different flavors… You scoop yourself. This place is worth a try if you are in the area. Even if you are a picky eater, I am sure you will find something to your liking. Life is too short for lousy Chinese food (and carry-​out). My recommendation to folks in the Auburn area… This Asian buffet was a good value I give it two thumbs up. At first I thought it was a little high, but the quality of food sure made up for it.
Overall I really enjoyed dining here and would be happy to return again if I was in the area.

I’m not usually a fan of buffets, but this place is pretty good. The price is also extremely reasonable.
I ALWAYS try the crab rangoon/​delight at every buffet and it’s usually pretty stale and gross, the ones at Hibachi were crunchy and had plenty of the cream cheese and crab filling inside. Chow mein was flavorful as well as the honey walnut shrimp– which tasted fresh and crunchy! I like their selection of seafood– crab, crawfish, clams, baked mussels and much more. One thing I wish they had were oysters! I also had a beef bbq rib which, to my surprise, was extremely juicy, tender, and full of flavor!
All in all it was a good experience and my stomach was satisfied. Would probably be 4 stars if I wasn’t disgusted by the bathroom. The front door to it was very sticky –_–

Not your average Chinese buffet! Well, it basically is, but we’re fans. Good quality for the price, better than expected (that’s the key here). Kind of far if you don’t live down south near Auburn though.
From their honey walnut prawns, beef ribs, and Mongolian pork, to fried chicken wings, pizza, and sushi rolls, there’s a wide variety of options as you’d expect. You’ll also find a full salad and fruit bar. Ice cream selection is on point too (coffee and strawberry… yum!)
Come early as this place gets busy! There’s a bunch of seating, but it’s always packed. Service is quick, they have employees monitoring each station (barking refill orders through their headsets to the kitchen) so your favorite Thai chicken won’t be gone for long!
Real affordable prices, super casual eating, and tons of food to stuff your face, you really can’t ask for more. Writing this is making me hungry…

Food was very good and freshly made. They were refilling the buffet frequently. All the traditional Chinese selections and plenty of good seafood. The crabs were amazing! ! Prices are really good too. We will definitely be going back!

First time eating here, as I’m not usually a buffet kind of girl. I can’t ever eat my money’s worth, and I’m very weird about germs.
Anyhow, this buffet was a bit on the spendy side, and lacking in the appeal department. I was surprised milk was not an option on the beverages list, what would I give my baby if I brought him/​her?
Probably won’t visit again, not because of anything either bad or good. Just not my cup of milk, so to speak.

Alright, bare with me. I have a good reason for giving a 5 star rating! I would’ve done 4.5 but they only allow whole numbers. This is seriously the best bang for your buck buffet I have ever been to. The prices are way low, the drinks are way cheap and have lots of variety, and the selection is great.
The first thing I noticed food-​wise was that the seafood was much better than other Asian buffets that I have been to. I also noticed that they allow endless mochas/​coffee for less than a dollar on a serve — yourself basis, which was very nice and great quality. I wasn’t overly impressed with the tomatoes in the salad bar but that’s no big deal. Overall, the food was great for the low price you pay to get in.
I also want to note that they have a very fun and fair pricing system. You’ll have to check it out more in detail on their website but it really allows for fairness all around and I appreciate that.
Server-​wise, the hostesses were quiet and out of your way, but they really didn’t need to be around since the drinks are serve-​yourself. I did, however, notice the manager walking around happily making sure everything was going well which is something I have never seen a manager so happy to do. It was really quite beautiful.
Atmosphere was general but relaxing.
And ultimately, if the food was the best I’d EVER had and the atmosphere was AMAZING, I’d want to rate this place a 5, but like I said, I’d want to rate it a 4.5 if I could.
But since it only offers while jumbers, they deserve more of a 5 than a 4!

Came here for lunch based on all of the reviews and pictures, but I was extremely disappointed when I saw that they did not have any fresh oysters or mussels. My guess is that those dishes are only available for dinner.
However, I tried to enjoy the other food selections that they had, but everything was rather bland and not appetizing. I had 2 plates, a little bit of everything before judging, but I was not impressed whatsoever. I don’t know how it is for dinner, but I won’t be back for lunch.
My co-​workers enjoyed the meal, since $ 8.99 for all-​you-​can-​eat is a pretty good price. I would just rather pay that price for a meal that I would actually enjoy.

Good Food & Great Variety! Clean & Modern looking, and Spacious.
Typical dishes you’d find at an Asian buffet place. Seafood is fresh, Veggies good, and the Chicken & Ribs were good! I can’t say much for the carbs (noodles, rice, fried stuff, sushi, cake desserts, etc) because I didn’t eat any (just trying to eliminate gluten, etc from my lifestyle)… But I was full & satisfied! Also, lots of Desserts to choose from! The Ice Cream bar itself is Awesome!
Would definitely go there again if I’m craving a variety of Asian Food & have family in town!

This is a good buffet for the amount of food they give you for your round of eating. I enjoy the seafood section of this place, although the seafood that they put mayonaise on can actually fill you up pretty good. So be careful in not consume too much or you’ll lose your appetite quickly.
Make sure you would on Valpak for they have groupons for your lunch/​dinner. I know the discount isn’t huge, but it is still something!
