The restaurant is CLOSED. It sounds like they could not afford to pay the loan. The bank repossessed it. Don’t know whether they will reopen.

My husband and I went here for a lunch date the other day, 8.99 for lunch with all you can drink Pepsi. Extra Star because it was Pepsi! Lot’s of variety but it is your basic Asian Buffet fare made for the masses. I think they remodeled it as it seems bigger inside. I got excited because they had stack of Cream Puffs! But alas they were dry. They had Sushi Rolls and they were okay. Staff seemed friendly and it is a good place to go if you were with Big Eaters at lunch time.

What a horrible experience we had… Cold food slow service. The sushi buffet was a joke. We were there at about 7PM. And it look like they just given up on redoing anything in the buffet… Save yourself a trip.

Went on Sunday, July 7th and it was one of the worst dining experiences ever. The food was so so, nothing great. They had corn on the cob but no butter and when I asked one of the bussers for some she had no idea at all what I was asking. The man at the cashier station and one of the other workers on the line started arguing and yelling at each other then followed each other around the line continuing this behavior and getting into each other’s faces. I had my 5 year old and 11 year old grand kids and they were a little scared. It was so loud everyone in the restaurant could hear and no one from management came out to stop it. This continued for about 20 minutes. I went to the front to ask for a refund ad to complain about this, but that person didn’t understand what I was talking about either. Horrible experience and I will never go back. They need to hire people that can communicate with their patrons and care about what happens in the restaurant.

The first thing I noticed was a sign that said you would be charged for wasting food. It stated customers would be charged by the pound. I was a little taken aback. Since we had paid prior to eating, I wasn’t sure how that would be enforced. The salad bar was very sparse and the lettuce was in such huge chunks that I had to cut in up with a knife and fork. I’m not a seafood eater so I cannot critique those items. However, my husband is, and he became ill soon after eating there and throughout the next day. A few of the items I got such as a cold potato salad tasted strange on first bite so I did not continue to eat it. I was worried, however, that the waitress was going to weigh my plate in the back somewhere! Overall, the food did not seem fresh. It seemed old and re-heated. We will never go back there again.

The general rule of Chinese buffets: go when they’re new, because their quality is directly(and inversely) tied to how long they’ve been open. This is where Golden China Buffet used to sit(remember when it used to be a Denny’s and there was an Albertson’s anchored here?) It’s a fairly new restaurant(though most of the food is the same) and personally I think it’s much, much better than Golden China. It’s kind of expensive(8.99 for lunch and 12.99 for dinner) but includes a drink, so if you like soda you’re getting a deal(I think — I don’t drink soda so I’m paying for food and water when I come here). Still! The food is hot, the General Tso’s chicken is actually chicken and not just breading, the snow shrimp is crispy and sweet and everything has a decent flavor. I like to pig out on the shrimp, crab and rice noodles. Dishes that were empty the first time I went through the buffet were full the next time I wandered past. There was only one waitress the first time I went but there were two this past visit, so maybe they’ve upped their staff or roped in an unwitting teenager. Either way, my empty plates didn’t stay on my table for long. Kudos to the new owners for the new layout, because it feels much more spacious. The first time we went the lady at the register was meh, this time she was friendlier(even cracking a smile!) Maybe she was just stressed from running a brand new restaurant. They have a formidable sushi area and the desserts Golden China used to have(hand scooped ice cream, a few cakes and cream puffs). Unlike Golden China, however, I haven’t noticed any mold on my food. So far so good.

Um. nothing to spectacular about this joint. It looks like it use to be a Denny’s before. It’s spacious and has lots of parking. Décor is normal. Okay! Food: it wasn’t fresh, they don’t refill unless it is quarter tank.(If that) selection was limited and remember, don’t waste food. Idk/the only thing I like was free pop and real ice cream. Prolly never going back. Eh.

I decided to try this place since it has new owners. Price: Went for lunch on a Monday afternoon. Regualr is 8.99, but I used their 10% coupon, so I paid $ 8.94 with the discount and tax included. Food: Decent seletion of food items. They have sushi bar. I like their mayo shrimp and octopus(squid?) salad. See my pic. Drink: Drinks are included in the price. I had sweetened ice-ed tea and switched over to orange Fanta. Both drinks have weird tastes. Service: Manager/cashier was friendly at first. But when I handed my coupon, I had the feeling she didn’t like it. She mumbled something in Chinese while she was calculating. I don’t know if it was directed to me or someone else. I am Asian, but I don’t speak Chinese, so I didn’t understand what was said. There was only one waitress who was busing the entire restaurant. She did a good job. Wifi: No free internet. Credit Cards. Yes, they accept credit cards. Not sure if they accept Discover. MC/VC for sure! Conclusion: This is quite an improvement, and so far in my opinion, the best Chinese buffet restaurant the city of Auburn has to offer. If not the only one. There are better Chinese buffet restaurants in other cities though. I will come back and try their dinner selections. I think it is only $ 12.99.

This buffet place has open up in the spot of the former Golden China Buffet. The new owners has spent money and time to remodel this restaurant so it feels bigger than it did before. There are few decoration in the place, so it looks kind of bare. Pay upon entrance to the restaurant as oppose to after you have finish eating. The price for the buffet for lunch is 8.99 and 12.99 for dinner time. Price seems just a tab bit higher than most chinese buffet, but at this price it also includes sodas. The owners are nice, and they seem to have only 1 person busing the table. This review is for lunch only. The food is nothing to brag about, and I would say that it’s lunch buffet may be one of the better chinese lunch buffet in the immediate area. There sushi are okay, pretty standard sushi that you find at buffet. They have 8 rolls, 1 deep fried sushi roll, inari, and 2 type of Nigiri sushi. They makes them fresh every 3 hours starting at 11:00 am or when the plate runs out. Their dessert are pretty limited, so if you’re looking for a dessert buffet, this is not for you. You have the normal mongolian beef, pepper chicken, fried bread dough, fried fish, bake mussel with cheese, imitation crab meet stuffing on a scallop shell, 2 kind of potato salad, fried chicken wing, bake chicken thigh(large bone in), bake fish, egg roll, 4 soup, crab rangoo, fried seafood mixture, steam shrimp and vegetable, and a few other items. Overall it’s a typical chinese all you can eat buffet.
