Just terrible. NEVERGOHERE! I came in to return shoes today after being told they could take them back if they did not fit as they were a gift for someone. I went back and they proceeded to give me the refund at «return price» which was only 70% of what I had paid and in addition it was in store credit not cash. Worst company policy ever and a really unfair way to make money off of people. I hope this place goes out of business.

I remember the day when Payless was a place you could actually pay less. Their prices have really gotten out of hand. I was on the hunt for knee boots now that the weather has turned to Fall. I tried on a pair that I loved. Then I looked at the price…$ 59! I was just at Target and their boots are only $ 39! If I wanted an expensive pair of shoes I would go to Macy’s. I can’t shop there for a reason. Having said they are over priced, this location is a great location. It’s right off Bell next to the Bevmo. There is a lot of parking and the store is well organized. The employees are very helpful as well. So, I have two stars for those things, but I won’t be shopping there anytime soon.

Since when did Payless Shoes get so expensive? This place used to be the place to go for affordable, cute shoes… but lately their shoes are getting super pricey! Nah… not for me. If I’m gonna pay those prices, I’m not getting cheap quality.

So I realized, late in the game, that my only pair of black heels have seen better days. LOTS of better days, in fact, which is a distinct problem since I needed nice black shoes for tomorrow afternoon. Whoops! With not a lot of time and a distinct lack of interest in spending the rest of my afternoon driving to Roseville, I headed to Payless Shoesource in the K-Mart shopping center.(I know, most people think of it as the Best Buy shopping center now, or even the Starbucks shopping center, but I’m older than those stores. So deal.) The girls there were extremely friendly and cheerfully helpful, assisting me in finding a pair of cute little shoes that fit my weirdly wide duck-feet. I wound up spending $ 26, and they were apologetic that the shoes that we ultimately found weren’t on sale and offered to keep looking for me — seriously, these girls were amazing and so sweet! While the selection of shoes is pretty much par for the course with regards to Payless stores, the customer service at this one is honestly as good as I’ve received at Nordstrom. Very very impressive!
