Recent visit for a weekend breakfast. Place was very busy, had to wait awhile for a table, at least there was a bench in the small lobby to wait. The noise level was unreal. Like, almost impossible to have a conversation. Food took a while to arrive, but was as ordered and acceptable. Just way too crowded and loud to relax and enjoy.

We’ve only been here for breakfast, but the food has been great every time. We actually drive by a few other diners closer to home to come here. I’d recommend the Crab Benedict or Denver Skillet. The omelettes and pancakes are good as well. I only gave it 4 stars because it is a little pricier than your average diner breakfast.

Great food! I went on a Sunday morning for breakfast. The pancakes were so delicious. It was jam packed so you know the food is good. :) I can’t wait to go back for more and try something off the dinner menu.

Let me preface this by saying the omelettes and staff are excellent. This place IS New Jersey. I drop by here for breakfast about once a month. In the past six months, I’ve talked to old guys there who: 1) explained that Obama is this close to putting the Illuminati’s plan into action. This close. 2) said that Truman was a —- for firing MacArthur. Some grudges die hard. 3) invented Netflix, before ‘they’ stole it 4) think Benjamin Franklin ruined America with daylight savings time. I still don’t understand this one. 5) are going after the guy who nicked their friend with a truck. If you want great food and a window into the soul of NJ, this is your place.

Me and the bf went here for a late night breakfast. The food was average and our waitress was okay. I think her name was Ally. Even for a late night there were a lot of people there. The menu is HUGE w so many options it’s honestly overwhelming. It wasn’t that expensive. I mean I would go again because it’s so close to home.

Just left this diner and everything was good, service was quick, friendly people, nice atmosphere and big menu to pick from. I got the philly cheese steak and a cup of beef barely soup and both were very good and the cup of soup was generous portion. The fries were very good and coleslaw was also. My husband got the chicken Cesar salad and same soup and said both were very good too! We will be back!!!

Love this place. As a proud New Jerseyan, I am a bit of a diner snob— and why not? I have so many to pick from. Whenever I am in the area, I go to the Legacy Diner. The food is great, the typical diner menu is exhaustive, and the food is fresh, hot, and served with a smile. What else could you want for breakfast/lunch/dinner/anything in-between?

Ok for a diner. My husband liked his dinner a lot more than I liked mine. The cream of tomato soup was thick with flour, which made it inedible. The chicken scampi was decent. He had spaghetti bolognese and liked it, but we live in Italian food central and can easily find better.

A real disappointment, this was my second time there and boy has things changed. I really could not believe I was eating at the same place. To think I took my family there for a Sunday afternoon lunch. Service was fair at best(45 minutes to get our food) even had to send the soup back because it was cold. The meatloaf was dry and the Alfredo Fetuccini was tasteless not to mention the chicken being dry and way over cooked. Finally what diner within a 50 miles radius of Phila doesn’t know how to make a «Cheesesteak», I think there was actually ground beef mixed in with the steak meat. All and all not a good lunch. I was so disappointed that I will never go back again. BTW way over priced too. Hopefully the desserts my grand kids took home will make up for the food.

Very nice typical homey diner. Good service. Big portions. Thought the food was good quality(got the chunky monkey pancake and my friends got skillets). No complaints though nothing blew my mind.

Jersey is known for their having diners everywhere, and I have eaten at probably 20% of all the diners in the state(yeah, thats alotta diners) and this place is definaitely in my top 5. Their food is made fresh, cooked perfectly, and seasoned to near perfection. I can attribute the seasoning flavor disagreement over my pallete wanting more flavor than the average person, hence why I deduct no stars. Great service, they are always packed but always find a seat for me and my party. I moved to south jersey 2 years ago(was from central, right near NYC) and I checked out 4 other diners in the area until I settled on this one being MY diner. My favorite dishes include their breakfast skillets and their bleu cheese burger.

Huge portions and great soups. A bit on the pricy side for a NJ diner but worth a try if your budget allows it.

I go to school close by and we were on break for lunch so we needed to get something within an hour. We went to Legacy because we wanted breakfast. The hostess was less then pleasant, telling us that it could be a wait from anywhere to 5 to 15 minutes. We decided to stay, when the table became available she didn’t call the name it was under, she called us 4(since that was how many were in our party). After we sat the waitress was pleasant but absent minded. She was standing around and talking to other workers ignoring us even though our menus were closed, we still had to wave her over. We all ordered some type of omelette, nothing complicated bc we figured it would be the fastest. We also told her that we needed to leave soon. We waited over 25 minutes for our food and was mediocre diner food at best, not worth the wait or hassle. Will not be returning here again.

This was exactly what I wanted, nothing more and nothing less. Just a good, American dinner with friendly service and OK food.

Jersey is filled with and known for its diners but not all are as amazing the Legacy. The greek owners know how to do diner food right. Their menu ranges from classics to new twists on favorites. They add new menu items each season(the pumpkin pancakes are to die for). And to top it off the staff are the most friendly and inviting of any restaurant i have been to. Its time you experienced a real new jersey diner(and dont forget to try the award winning cheesecake!!)

This is a typical Greek dinner. The exception is just like the bar on Cheers, everyone here does know your name. Food is good but seasoning could be a little improved, service excellent wait staff always remembers what I drink and what my favorite meal is. Bakery items are just OK Always clean and lots of parking. The menu is extensive and I’ve never had a bad meal.

Third time was a charm i suppose. We came here during the holidays for a pre-santa photo-op breakfast with the fam. Our group pretty much took up then entire back of the diner. We had to do two long tables to accommodate everyone. There was a bit of struggle with reservations due to the size of our party but it worked out at the end. They did take a while to bring out everyone’s meal due to the large number of orders. I remember getting the huevos rancheros(vegetarian option) and it was great. The food actually tasted much better this time around.

Legacy diner is probably my favorite diner in the area. It can be a go to place for any meal. It’s family owned and I love seeing that the family actually is there working, unlike a lot of «family» owned places where the families are no where to be found because they have others do their work. All of the employees are very friendly. Prices are reasonable and the food is always of great quality. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner — Legacy is an excellent choice.
