This place has fantastic breakfast. Good food and affordable. The place is always clean and the staff is friendly and hospitable. It’s really spruced up the downtown area.

Great atmosphere. Very clean. Staff is super friendly. And the food was delicious. My eggs were perfectly cooked. Bacon was crispy. Couldn’t ask for a better Sunday afternoon breakfast!

This place used to be great when it was the Bond Brook Diner. I enjoyed it even after the move to Water Street. Since the move it has slowly gone down hill. For which I am very sorry. The service is still excellent. The atmosphere is good and clean. But, the quality of the food is just poor, really poor. The killer is that this used to be a very inexpensive place to eat. The food quality went down and the prices went up. I hope that this local business can turn it around and when they do I will be back. Good luck!!!

This place is excellent. Low prices, great food, prompt service, but no intrusive waitresses bothering you every 5 minutes. Nice view of downtown, small town atmosphere. A new date spot for my wife and I, certain to return!

Nice setting and very friendly service staff. Unhappily the food was less satisfying. My husband’s omelet was tasty but somewhat bland, and my «lightly» scrambled eggs were very well-done and had little flavor as if they were cooked on the griddle with no butter at all. The sausage was tasty, but the home fries were average. Wish I could report a better review as we always search out local, personally run places to eat.

Great value! Labor Day 2015 brunch on the way back from Bah Haba. Service is 5-plus — friendly and efficient — something that I cannot find anywhere on the East Coast. North-East is usually fast, South-East is friendly. Downtown Diner offers the best of both. Food: Pancakes — huge and perfect Waffle — huge and perfect Fruit topping — we got a little argument here, I thought the raspberries were ripe and tasty while the rest of the party thought that they didn’t taste right(I guess city dwellers are not used to ripe raspberries.) Eggs — exactly as ordered(and we had some challenging variety) Bacon — crispy ok Biscuits and gravy — good, but not of Southern grade Coffee — plenty of room for improvement here. — If the label in the door is correct: «Best coffee in town», Augusta must be a tasteless sleepy place. There must not be any coffee that inspire and awake me. Don’t get me wrong. The coffee isn’t bad, but I am used to Mystic Coffee Roaster in Medford, Mass, so we are talking about a different coffee universe.

Love the place, only wish the proportions were slightly bigger. Otherwise, great place, lovely staff.

A good place for a really good breakfast. They have limited seating but the friendly family atmosphere is indicative of a local diner. Good home cooked food and friendly service. Don’t come with a large group but a couple or family of four will enjoy this place. Parking is tough on water street but you can also park around back and come in the back door.

Best breakfast in town and the servers are great. Only thing going on in downtown Augusta.

Great spot to get breakfast food. Friendly service and food is up fast even with a full dining room. The only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is the flour wasn’t cooked off all the way in my gravy. Still very tasty despite this. Would never hesitate to recommend this place to anyone looking for a good place in Augusta to eat.

Nice place for breakfast. The service is friendly and efficient. There is an open kitchen which is very clean, nice to see. It was busy but we were seated quickly and coffee was poured within a few minutes. The menu is basic breakfast, hot food that tastes good, cheap and cheerful comfort food. I picked this place over the other cash only breakfast joint nearby because they accept credit cards and I do not carry cash. You have to park on the street but there were plenty of spaces on a Saturday morning. Couple of suggestions: — Coffee could be better, on par with Denny’s, I guess some people like that; — Wi Fi would have been nice. There are signs to like and recommend them on Facebook, would have been easier if customers could get online without cellular data. Overall great! I will be back next time I am in Augusta for breakfast.

Great prices and delicious home made breakfast. I love the pancakes and the fresh cinnamon buns. For lunch the steak wraps are a must. The service is always friendly and food comes out fast. Sitting in the window to people watch is entertaining too.

Service was so quick and friendly! Clean diner with modern décor. Good selection of breakfast and lunch items. Fresh baked muffins daily. Two small breakfasts and iced coffees only $ 13! Down town areas kinda dead on the weekends but nice to walk around and see the river on a sunny day! Plenty of parking in the back too!

This place was recommended to us by a local when we were looking for breakfast in town that wasn’t Denny’s or McDonalds. She said she always send people here. Glad she sent us that way! It’s located in the downtown river front area. Its basic diner breakfast food cooked a little bit better, but not in a diner atmosphere. The service was extremely quick and super friendly. The lady we had most have been hopped up on some speed or she’s just amazing that she can move that fast and still have a smile on her face. And they were packed when we arrived. Our food was satisfying and tasty. The coffee was great as well. I wouldn’t hesitate to refer someone here either. Certainly a go to in this town!

Been here a few times. Prices are very good and service is decent. Not a fan of the hours but that can be overlooked. Location is good and parking is always available out back. Overall I would give this place 3 stars for it’s decent food and good service.

I decided to go with five stars instead of four because this place does what it does excellently. We just moved to Augusta and we’ve already been back for breakfast several times. The wait staff is super friendly and professional. The coffee is good and hot and strong. The service is quick and the food is tasty; we’ve been there at quiet times and peak times and the food and service does not suffer when they are packed –a good sign. The food is 100% standard, traditional American diner fare. Eggs your way, home fries, simple white pancakes and french toast, eggs benedict with«a few potatoes.» I love that they give moderate servings of potato, because I’ve worked in restaurants and I hate to see how much food goes to waste. The sausage gravy is the rich, white, creamy give you a heart attack kind. I haven’t tried lunch yet, but I imagine that is standard diner fare as well. Prices are very reasonable, especially their a la carte menu. And as far as I can see the place is clean, clean, clean. Always nice in a food service establishment. It’s just one of those places that easily becomes a ritual… I’m a fan.

Be advised, in wintertime this seems to be the only place for early breakfast, in the capital region. They open at 0500. Friendly staff. I got two eggs over easy, links, whole wheat toast, OJ, and lots of coffee, for about nine bucks. Highly recommended.

Wait staff is very pleasent, the location is great, the food is nothing to write home about. Portion size doesn’t make up for lack of taste, spice that up! What is the signature dish and can I beat it in my own, unprofessional kitchen? I’ll stop in for coffee and the view, not much else.
