Great downtown pizza joint with hoagies and apps that rock. Went there for my sister in laws birthday and got the spinach artichoke dip. We ate it so fast that I couldn’t take a picture but the bread is amazingly seasoned and the dip is fantastic. Great beer choices. My brother and I split the Maui Wowie Pizza(small) and a Jerk Chicken Hoagie(full). We are both pretty big guys and it was more than enough food. The Hoagie was delicious and loaded. The jerk flavoring is fantastic but not overwhelming. The Pie was the best we’ve ever had. Portions are huge and the chicken is plentiful and well cooked. Pesto base was world changing. Our parents and sister split a large buffalo chicken pizza and were extremely happy with it. And to top it all off, to go cups for the drinks!!!

My fiancé, in-laws and I(party of four) had a delicious lunch at Mellow Mushroom on a Saturday. We split two regular sized salads and a large pizza, and it was plenty of food for us. We also ordered beer and the«mule» cocktail, all of which were delicious. Our waitress was relativity attentive and friendly, as well.

Mellow mushroom has yet to disappoint me. I can always count on great pizza and beer. My son loves going there and I guess it’s because its a lively, fun and young crowd. So far, as a chain, they have been pretty consistent. Love that about them!

Mellow mushroom had an awesome vibe. I was also very happy to find out that it was happy hour from 3 pm-6pm. It was $ 1 off draft beers and $ 25% off of munchies. I had an order of wings and a slice of pizza. Both items were delicious. One small takeaway is the service at the bar. Although it’s Master’s week it was not bust at all. I sat around and no one checks on me. It was about 5−6mins after eating and no one asked if I wanted my check or anything else.

Whether your are alone, with your buddies or out with the family, this is a good place share a pizza pie. Full bar and good selection of of beers, both bottled or draft. Attentive and friendly service, common to all of their locations.

Mellow Mushrooms are consistent enough to know what to expect, but unique enough to have their own personality at each location. This Mellow is not the best I’ve been to, but it’s good. 25 or so beers on tap, trivia on Tuesdays(in which I placed last the first and only time I played, so take my review with a grain of salt), and the delicious Thai Dye pizza I know and love from previous Mellows. Join the beer club if you know you’re gonna be around for a while. Servers are as eccentric as they are at any other Mellow Mushroom. The wait can take a while for food but overall this is a great place to get pizza in a great location.

Traveled here today for a coworkers going away lunch, and I must say the food was great. We had a party of 9 or so and were seated immediately. The waitress came promptly to take our drink orders and answer any questions that we had. We placed our orders(I chose the jerk chicken sandwich), and waited, and waited, and waited for our food to come. As stated earlier, this was a lunch out so we were on a time crunch so long time to get our food was rather inconvenient. For this I had to knock a star but once I finally received my food(which I had to change to a to-go order due to time), it was really tasty. The sandwich was PACKED with flavor and everyone else was pleased with their dishes as well. I wouldn’t recommend mellow for groups during lunch time, unless you have a very long lunch planned, but I’ll definitely be back for dinner sometimes as the food was so fresh tasting and delicious that I have to assume that it why it takes a while to receive the food.

This was a great place to stop for lunch. We got a pesto pizza with mushrooms and fresh mozzarella, a pizza with steak and onions, and also a salad. Crust is made from high-quality dough. Pizza was delicious. The unexpected star that stole the show? Organic, fresh-squeezed orange juice that I am pretty sure has crack in it. A steal at just over $ 2 for about 16 ounces! I took one to go as well. Too bad I don’t live closer: this is the best O.J. I’ve had anywhere in the country!

This is actually the best pizza I’ve ever had in my life. I spent the summer in New York this year and had tons of pizza there which is the pizza capital of the country. This place trumps every pizza joint I’ve ever been to. The Thai dye pizza was amazing! The kormic karma was good too. But over all the quality of the pizza here was amazing. Also our service was excellent! We had a waitress named Ivy and she was super friendly and very pleasant to talk to! 5 stars from me!

If you’re in the mood for pizza — this is it. With a large menu of pizza, and varieties of toppings, this is one of my favorite place to meet and hang out with friends! Tip: go on a Tuesday night after 7 for trivia night! Trivia starts at 8, is well organized, and is a fun way to test you and your friends’ knowledge. Even better, ordering specific appetizers/drinks will win you extra points! Prizes include gift cards you can use on your current bill. I know I’ll be there again to re-claim the prize.

I ate the stuffed portabello before I could take a picture! Always an awesome spot to visit when downtown Augusta! The menu has house specials, specialty pies, build your own pizza and salads. The calzones are huge(take some home for lunch). The staff is super nice and they do serve alcoholic beverages for those that like to un-whine while they dine. The food is made to order, so it is really fresh when you get it. The staff is very knowledgeable of the menu and super sweet. The space is good for meetings, lunch, dinner, or just to get together with friends and family. Prices are reasonable(remember, you get what you pay for). Always and easy choice when downtown Augusta. The atmosphere is relaxing and they have additional parking in the back of the establishment. The also provide a gluten free menu and they have options for our vegan friends too!

We ordered the Funky Q Chicken and the stuffed portobello mushrooms. Loved them both. Such a relaxed and easy vibe here. They have outside seating and welcome pets out there. These was one of my best Mellow Mushroom experiences.

I’m glad they have a Mellow Mushroom here. We used to love going to the Greensboro location. I used to always get pesto bread(it’s not on the menu anymore but they will still make it– imagine cheesy garlic bread but with pesto instead and side of marinara) and the lil’ caesar salad add chicken. I’ve also tried their steak & cheese and the meatball subs and both were delicious. The philosopher’s pie pizza is delicious, however, I tend to not get pizzas from here. Price is part of it, but I also never want to commit to a full pizza. I would like to try all of their pizzas, but wish they had slices available all the time instead of just at lunch. They have a good beer selection and the service has always been great.

I was in South Carolina visiting family and we decided to take the short journey over the bridge to come to Augusta and try some local fare. Little did I know we were going to the Mellow Mushroom that I was all familiar with. I have been to the MM several times in Denver and wanted to see if the experience was consistent. I really was a huge fan of the«divey» feeling of the pizza joint. Our bartender was on point, she made some great recommendations and even made sure we were comfortable with what we ordered. I had a HUGE salad and a pizza and had the opportunity to taste the wings and the gluten free pizza, both of which were delicious. Overall, it was good to go to a place that I was familiar with and try something on the menu that I haven’t tried before. I will see you back in Denver Mellow Mushroom!

For carb lovers, their pizza, sandwiches and other bread items are awesome when I am feeling naughty but most of the time I’m low-carb so their Greek Salad and Meatball Trio are perfect and filling… washing it down with their tasty unsweetened tea with splenda…

Great food, good atmosphere, awesome staff. I’ve been to a few Mellow Mushrooms before, but the one on the corner of Broad and 12th has real character.

Update — have to downgrade my review. Got food poisoning here that knocked me out for 24 hrs. I had the mushroom soup and Greek salad just like last time but an hour after lunch my body did not react well. Ugh, at least I lost 4lbs but wasn’t pleasant. Old review Good selection of beer. Chill atmosphere. I actually came here for salad and beer, Not pizza. I got the crazy mushRoom soup and was good. I wish they did lunch combos on weekends and sold pizza by slice but overall a good time with good food. Service was good too.

Mellow Mushroom is one of my favorite restaurants. This location is the downtown Augusta location, which is pretty popular all year. I visited recently with my sister and we decided to try almost everything with mushrooms. Typically, I order a club, but now I’m a transitioning vegetarian. I tried the Tempeh Club and the Magic Mushroom Soup. They were both awesome. My sister ordered the Stuffed Portobello and a Mushroom pizza. I tried it and liked it! I like the staff here. The restaurant is large and clean. I like to sit in the booth near the windows to watch the downtown car and pedestrian traffic. It has also started to get warmer, so I look forward to taking advantage of the outdoor seating. The parking situation is not ideal, but it is downtown. You can find parking fairly easily after 5pm. But during the lunch hour or on weekends the search is harder. Overall, I still visit because the great food outweighs it all.

Don’t skip //that beer cheese dip. #PizzaPoetics The Mellow Mushroom may be a somewhat monster regional chain now, but back in my collegiate days, it was a non-Domino’s splurge that killed it with scrumptious pizzas and the black market currency that is those Garlic Butter Knots. Capitalized to show they’re serious. Flash forward(mumble, mumble) years later, and my, my how you’ve grown! Disney-esque decorations, trippy expanded menu but at the core, it’s still that same amazing dough. Proof: the house calzone is almost exactly the same as I remember from time gone by, if nothing else, improving with age. Spinach, mushrooms, Roma tomatoes, and loads of mozz wrapped in that culinarily-indelible spring water dough, slit and baked to slightly under-perfection. Plus, red sauce. A terrific red sauce. It’s the equivalent of a small pizza, which means you’ll probably get two meals out of it. Especially if you start off with Chuck’s Wild Garlic Balls. Which you might. Because dough. Nostalgia aside, it’s warm, comfortable FOOD food. You’ll like it — it’s impossible not to. Maybe you can find cheaper options, but they won’t have the love. And speaking of love: extra-special service props to Anna, who was proactive, prompt and perky. A real Georgia peach.
