Great local place to grab a slice of pizza and a beer. The Mediterranean and Bleu Buffalo pizza are my personal favorites. Good selection of beer with rotating specials. The service is hit or miss. Don’t go in expecting a fancy Italian restaurant and you will be pleased.

This is the best place for pizza. Hands down. The service was very speedy and friendly; and the food is incredible. My favorite pizza spot.

This used to be one of my favorite places. In the past years it’s gotten worse and worse. It’s pretty dingy, booths that don’t match or need repair, an odor around the restrooms, dingy and nasty looking cups and silverware. The food is progressively worse as well. I ordered a salad last time and it was literally a hunk of lettuce, not chopped hardly. The tea had a funny taste like soapy water almost. I couldn’t drink it. Our pizza was cold when we got it but at that point we just sent it back and left.

This place is simply a sh*thole. No other way to put it. It’s as nasty and decrepit as the rest of downtown Augusta. Service is non existent. Seriously. The staff just ignores you and I think it is on purpose. You are better off going to the Costco food court for pizza as it tastes better than the crap they masquerade as pizza here. The restaurant is literally falling apart and no one seems to care. They act like they are doing you a favor allowing you to eat there. You are much better off going to Mellow Mushroom up he street.

First of all let me start off by saying I do not like pizza very much the boyfriend however, loves it.(I know what you’re thinking why would you go to a pizza place then?) I am fine with getting something else whenever we go to a pizza place and just having a slice. Here we go: This place is awesome! We got a salad, wings and a pizza(duh), I recommend getting the hot wings. The wings aren’t too spicy, and you can enjoy the wings without setting your mouth on fire! The atmosphere was great, the servers are friendly. It reminds me of a college pizza joint. Once Don’t Stop Believin’ by Journey comes on, you bet your sweet ass the whole place will be singing along! The place is just great, I even enjoyed the pizza. They also provide many different beers.

Good pizza, good atmosphere. We had a very large crowd and the server had a bit of a time keeping up with us.

Solid Augusta-Local Pizza. I prefer the Downtown Location for Lunch as sometimes it is a great deal to get the buffet, if they’re keeping the pizza coming that day. Definitely an easy place to stop in for a cheap lunch or dinner with a group. Good outdoor seating, great atmosphere in general. Downtown staple that everyone should check out.

Today I went to Pizza Joint on Broad St during my lunch break. It was during the lunch rush so it was busy. I sat myself and was greeted within a few minutes. My server was nice and polite. I ordered the lunch special of a slice of pizza and a half sandwich. It took about 30 minutes for my food to get to my table. While I understand it was during the lunch rush, 30 minutes is still a bit too long to wait, especially since a party of 4(who sat down after me) got their food well before me. Overall, the food was good. Next time I’ll return after the lunch rush.

2 drafts bud lights, 2 draft microbrew, 4 slices of specialty pizza and a side of chips will run you around $ 28 before you tip out. We decided to come here for bite and a drink. first thing I noticed was the staff seemed more friendly than usual, not to say they were ever unfriendly, and it was really nice. We were greeted by the outside staff then by the inside staff. We sat ourselves and our waitress came immediately. It was nice that the table was pretty much clean and the floor was not sticky as I have come to expect. The only gripe now are the menus. They need to switch to a more robust menu that can hold up to being wiped down or go to a one use type as the menus do not instill a sense of cleanliness. Everything came out in a reasonable amount of time. When we got our pizza the manager came immediately over and informed us that we could eat the slices they delivered if we liked but he let us know he felt the pizza crusts were coming out way too hard and they were making us new ones regardless. I really appreciate commitment to/pride in quality, as well as the proactive approach is something you just do not see anymore. When my girlfriend took a bite she said the crust was definitely harder than usual but the pizza was far from being off or wrong in our opinion. All the pizzas tasted good and had plenty of toppings. When we got home we did try a bite of the slices they gave us to see how much difference there was and yeah the more chew as opposed to crunch of the crust makes a big difference as to how the pizza eats. Again kudos for caring so much about your final product. I would love to give 5 stars but those menus prevent that. The beer menu and regular menu just look and feel unclean. Like I said change them to a one use or get the more expensive type that hold up better or maybe even change the ones you have a lot more frequently.

This place is one of my favorites. The staff are professional and the service is great. We were waiting for a table tonight, no reservations and they kept in constant communication with us. They even moved some tables along in a friendly manner without being rude. Kid friendly and OUTSTANDING food plus the prices are reasonable.

I usually love this place but my recent visit was disappointing. Dishwasher was broke so they served drinks in «to-go» cups, which was fine. Server forgot to bring us our salad so it came out at the same time as the pizza. However she forgot to bring us the oil and vinegar and disappeared for 10 minutes. Pizza was caked with flour all over the bottom of the pizza so every bite was like putting a spoon of flour in your mouth. They have a good Greek salad and the spicy sausage they use is one of my favorite in town.

Awesome place to get some pizza in Augusta. Great atmosphere, and really good food. What else can you ask for? Oh wait… wings… This place puts a spice on wings that is nothing short of spectacular. Get some with no sauce. You won’t regret it!

I absolutely love this place! Great food, the pizza is priced well, and the staff is an absolute blast to be around. Anytime someone visits me from out of town, this is where I take them for a cheap fun lunch or dinner.

The build-your-own pizza was great. The crust was crispy and the ingredients were fresh. I prefer the Pizza Joint to Mellow Mushroom because the pizzas are larger and the aren’t greasy at all.

Service Failure! I waited over 30 minutes for two pizza slices to go that NEVER came. Obviously my order was lost. The problem is the bartender/manager assured me several times it would only be a couple more minutes. But he never personally checked on this, just assumed. I did get a refund, a rewards cards, and an apology. And walked away hungry.

I came here for the first time. I ordered the Sicilian chefs salad. Very delicious. With a Balsamic Vinaigrette. They have good music playing.

Pizza Joint is one of my all time fav pizza places and they seem a little better now than in the past. One of the best brew selections in town, so if ur a beer enthusiast such as myself… At least come enjoy that much along with a fun, atmosphere. I’m used to the service being super slow but this most recent trip I was presently surprised! I ordered a slice of specialty — «carnivore» which includes beef, Ham, pepperoni and Italian sausage. I also ordered another slice of specialty — «the Bleu Buffalo». This one is chicken, buffalo and Bleu cheese of course. Slices here are huge and fairly priced for the size. Both very tasty as well. I’ve never had a bad slice here… Specialty or build your own. Salads are huge but very standard. A Plain Jane tossed salad with some fancy flavored dressing was still very plain Jane. Atmosphere is very artsy and rustic… A couple tv’s here and there. Outdoor seating and a «sunroom» style room for seating make much better spring and summer options than winter! Enjoy the Pizza Joint!
