Food had no character or flavor, matched with the rudest staff I’ve ever experienced. My expectation was low, but the whole situation was just awful. The actual interior of the place is cool.

Simple, fusion, mexican memu. Mahi mahi tacos are good. Nice beer and wine selection. Full nar has margaritas available. No tavle aervice so dont expect this to be a nice sit down reataurant. Music is modern but a little loud. Not a bad little place.

Beware! You’ll get your dollar’s worth here. As they don’t do anything small. The fact that they actively say that they don’t do anything small is something to take into account. Look, I went with a couple of coworkers and one of them ordered some nachos. He couldn’t get through it. He only finished half of it, and he’s 6’3. Out of all the major choices, what did I order? I know I’m weak, but I ordered a salad. I ordered the seizure deluxe. It. Was. Big. On top of the salad I added chicken and also a couple of tacos. The tacos I got was pulled pork and shredded beef. Let’s start with the salad. The dressing that came with it was sort of a vinegarette based sort of dressing. It was tasty. The tacos were scrumptious. There’s something I did want to say though, I believe the pulled pork was a little dry to my taste. Both of the tacos, I got one hard shell and one soft shelled and toppings were pico de gallo and cheese. It was tasty! I enjoyed the shredded beef a little more though. Definitely a place to come eat, but if you’re looking to go restaurant hopping or to go to another spot afterwards… forget it. This place will fill you up with good prices and you’ll be either stuffed, or extremely pleased at what you ate. It’s only a couple minutes walk away from the Marriott, where I stayed, so it’s really convenient. I sat at the bar… on a weekday. So the service was good. I wouldn’t be so sure as far as sitting at a table, but for the bar, the service is usually the best. I did notice that the tables didn’t get quite as much attention, but then again it wasn’t that busy. This place is worth checking out.

I had a pulled pork & black bean quesadilla w/mango habañero sauce! Excellent and way more than I usually eat at lunch with sour cream, shredded lettuce, and guacamole. Did not disappoint! A really good Texas Margarita would have been a nice topper for the meal. Have been told don’t order one here.

Points off for store bought chips but tacos where made with fresh ingredients, served fast and cheap.

I’ve tried to love this place for 20 years, but every time I eat the food, I’m reminded why I don’t go more often. I try to buy local, but even in comparison to chain burrito restaurants, this one doesn’t hold up. Once I ordered their garden burrito and the insides were cold, wet, and slimy from the canned spinach and mushroom. Their burritos are overly stuffed with flavorless ingredients and topped with watery salsa. The mango salsa tastes like spicy shampoo, the ingredients have zero flavor, the rice and beans are overcooked, the meat is over-flavored and super salty, the chips are salty and stale, and the cheese dip tastes like thick, processed goop. It’s really disappointing because the atmosphere is cool and chill usually, but the food tastes like something I would make at 3 a.m. after a drunk club binge in my 20s. I guess if that’s their audience, then they can get away with making horrible food. I think this establishment is a good example of little competition to do better in a small city.

Made to order burritos. Delicious chips and salsa. Great atmosphere. Must try in Augusta!

Pretty good food and good portions but have had a few thing come out somewhat cold. I am not sure what is going on since I think they make everything fresh.

Food: 2 stars Service: 4 stars* The nachos here were okay. They put potatoes in the nachos, making them way to heavy to eat with chips. The pieces of chicken/pork/beef that my group had were tasty, but again, way too big to put on a chip. The nachos my group had also had a fruity-type sauce that didn’t sit too well with the cheese, meat, and other nacho ingredients. The saving grace would be the regular chips and cheese dip. This was a little on the pricey side, but good especially compared to the nachos. *You don’t really interact with the staff here, since it’s just an order and pick-up-yourself type of deal.

I really wanted to like this place, but the service left a lot to be desired. I tried the cheese dip and it tasted like it was store bought cheese dip. The chips tasted like they came straight out of the bag. I ordered a top shelf margarita and it was horrible. I don’t know what kind of mix they used but it did not taste like a margarita at all. I was so disappointed I didn’t order anything else and I left the cheese dip and mostly undrinken margarita on the table and left.

Someone said this place was good, so I decided to try it. I ordered the daddy nachos with chicken and got the food to-go. I didn’t have a very long drive home so I thought they would be okay, but was disappointed in the nachos that they served. They were pretty bland and kind of forgettable. I won’t count this place out forever, but there are plenty of other great restaurants in the local area that I haven’t hit yet.

Tacos are awesome! You have to try the homemade guac! You cannot go wrong on this menu, I’ve never had anything I didn’t like.

The service was just Meh. In fact, there was a woman working at the front when I walked in that has some serious RBF(which I get… I do too) But not a good look in your industry… and seriously… Don’t wave your hand, as if to brush me off, to tell folks to go sit down. It kinda half P***ed me off, but whatever. I was also hungry. The guy that did come to help me(I sat at the bar) was cool. No BS, I got beer and tacos. Simple as my meal was… this was AWESOME. Pulled pork, shredded beef, and chicken. The chicken wasn’t great, but the others were amazing. Very good place…

I find that one chicken taco is an excellent and complete meal. I usually stop with that. But nachos or a quesadilla are also excellent at Nacho Mama’s.

Despite wanting to try so many things on their menu(that all sound amazing), I always end up with my go-to of two pulled pork soft tacos. They are just so darn tasty! The tacos have a lot of meat plus they’re topped with handfuls of lettuce, pico de gallo, and cheese. At $ 2.75 each, you really can’t go wrong.

I never pass up an opportunity to eat a Nacho Mama’s. I have eaten here every day for a week before. I generally choose soft tacos(chicken, chicken and spinach, potato, black bean) because I can control the amount of food more easily– but everything offered here is delicious. Once you get to burritos and quesadillas, the portions are kinda huge, but the ingredients are fresh and you can’t beat the prices. The ONLY complaint is that they could get better brand tortilla chips, but generally I just get the salsa or queso just to put it directly on my food so sketchy chips is a minor problem. Have some tacos or a burrito, enjoy the local Art, congratulate yourself on a cheap and delicious meal and take in the atmosphere of good vibes and good people.

Decent place to go for lunch downtown. Had my first visit here today. I was WOWed but the food wasn’t gross. It was pretty tasty and surprisingly non greasy. I had the Daddy Nachos. The chicken was very good & the guac tasted excellent as well! Food took a bit long to get out, there’s no ice machine at the serve yourself drink station so I had to wait for an ice refill(not a huge deal, just an annoying inconvenience) and the place was a little sticky. There also wasn’t many larger tables for groups bigger than 4. The staff was pretty nice and the food was tasty, so I would def give Nacho Mama’s another shot!

Come here if you don’t want anything unique or interesting… It’s best appreciated if you’ve been drinking… Nothing is bad here, but nothing is really good. Know what I mean? To be fair. I guess I came in here after an amazing Mexican meal in Camden, SC the night before, and thought it could be replicated here. It was not. My Mahi Mahi Quesadilla wasn’t even crispy; the cheese was barely hot… Beyond the poor preparation, it just had no flavor whatsoever… I also ordered a Beef and Black bean taco, and the quality was similar… They also pile a lot of water flavored shredded iceberg lettuce on everything… Too much… Is that to make it look like there is more food? Or to give the appearance that the taco is overstuffed? I don’t know…
