Open 24⁄7 which is a rarity in Augusta. This place is a life saver for those of us who work nights and don’t want to eat McDonald’s or breakfast food every time we want fast food. Their whole menu(breakfast, lunch, and dinner) is available at all times. Sometimes you have to wait a bit, but it’s worth it.

It’s Saturday, it’s crowded. I lost count how many times I’ve come here. That should do it for my review. Tonight I ordered the American melt but it was a toss up against the Frisco melt. I’m also looking forward to tasting the Red Velvet milk shake. Look at that! I just got my food. Very fast and very friendly.

Augusta Ga, 11:45 at night after a 9hr road trip I look to the left and the heavens shined down upon me and behold the Steak and Shake! We walk in and everyone was happy and lively! I’m over here«it’s the middle of the night!» The entire staff was great especially Roslyn she was a sweet as pie! Allisha was her help tonight and they brought a dead tired crew back to life! The food was excellent, I suggest the Cajun burger or the double bacon cheeseburger(I love it with the pepper jack!) and I have never tried salt and vinegar fries but let me say they were AMAZING! The dining room was super clean and so was the restroom! Will definitely be coming back!

I have to give cudos to the manager on this one. He did everything he could to make the situation right. We walked in and walked back out. We asked the waitress if we could sit in a big booth. She rolled her eyes at us and proceeded to rudely set up the table. The manager kindly foot our bill and gave us an awesome server. DeAnna. She was great. Overall a bad experience turned good!

My family and I came in for breakfast, we waited for several minutes before anyone even acknowledged we were waiting to be seated, once we were seated it took 25 minutes for someone to come and take our order, others who came in after us were served first, they apparently didn’t know who was waiting on our area, some people had the same issue and left, it took over an hour for us to actually get our food! WORSTSERVICEEVER!

The original steak and shake double burger was great and the fries were pretty tasty too. However the gravy for the biscuits was a little too tasteless for me. I usually like thick gravy for biscuits. The sausage inside the gravy was good though. Overall, great place for cheap burgers and fries and still a little questionable on the breakfast. I’m going to definitely keep going though and try some breakfast skillets!

I work Mids so Steak ‘n Shake is great for a late night lunch for me. Much of the menu is $ 4 meals. The steak burgers are very good but the shakes steal the show. My favorite is the Nutella shake. Soooooo good. Chocolaty hazelnutty heaven. I highly recommend. The waitstaff is very nice and the building is very clean. My kids love this place. Good kids meals to choose from. Won’t break the bank.

First time trying Steak n Shake, VERY impressed overall. The only issue I had was the noise of the milkshake machines. It can get quite loud in there, so next time I will get it to go. I didn’t have high expectations for a burger meal costing less than $ 4, but I was pleasantly surprised. I tried the Jamaican Jerk burger, it was very tasty with just the right amount of kick. Love the shoestring fries! Much tastier than standard fries and they weren’t mushy. The milkshakes were great too, and BIG! Great value here. I will definitely be back to try the other burgers and shakes.

Very happy with our experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious and so were the shakes! Our waitress was fantastic, she had a great personality and really took care of us. It’s rare to find that kind of service now days, especially in fast food. We will definitely be returning to this establishment!

Went recently. We ordered unsweetened tea. The tea had a hint of sweet and that was all that was recognizable of the taste — it was disgusting — we switched to milkshakes. I had ordered the BBQ burger, it came and they had forgotten to put the BBQ sauce and onions on it, went back. Everyone else was good. Went to pay, waited for ages and ages for someone to come to the register. All the staff were like looking at me and not coming to the register. Eventually someone decided to come over and take my payment. I was in two minds to walk out without paying it was that long. The lady asked me if everything was good, so instead of being a Brit and putting up with everything I laid into her about the issues. She got the manager and the manager refunded my money.

This has to be the nicest steak and shake I have ever been too. Was clean, looked brand new. They had great customer service. Feels like you are at a restaurant instead of getting fast food.

New clean location. Food met expectations. Employees seemed a little stressed out and a bit unfocused, maybe something happened before I went in?

Sure, you can find a better, higher-end burger, but for a fast food burger experience, Steak ‘n Shake is hard to beat. The lines can get crazy at this location, but I’ve always found service to be as quick as you could expect it to move. The burgers and fries are always fresh, the shakes are tasty, and they offer a surprisingly good breakfast, which makes them a very convenient breakfast stop prior to a road trip, given that they’re located right off I-20. On top of all that, the staff has always been friendly, attentive, and helpful — our kids have demanding on more than one occasion.

It’s Steak-n-Shake… what do you expect? Slight above fast food level, clean, and its 24 hours… That is pretty much all you need to know.

Went to Steak n Shake last night and ordered 2 steakburgers. Both of the steakburgers has burnt edges all around the patties. Don’t think I’ll be going to this location again.

Always get the drive through. Always disappointed. I don’t know why I ever came here in the first place or why I returned. The burgers are pitifully puny and when you are finished eating, you have to go elsewhere to feel satisfied. Fries are very thin shoestring and I thought I would like them but they are pale, limp, pathetic things that don’t come close to being a decent french fry. Sad experience overall. Desperately miss Culvers and In-N-Out. Thankfully there’s a Five Guys and I hear Smash Burger is nearby so I’ll try them out. Cook Out next door is much better too.

This review is just for the«value menu». I ordered their 3 shooters meal and was sorely disappointed. The shooters were nasty. They either put way too much of one sauce or hardly any sauce at all. What I got was a half of a patty(I understand they’re supposed to be small) but the patty didn’t fit on the bun at all and a squirt of sauce. Not worth my money at all! And the French fries were awful as well. They were stale, cold, and crunchy. I was very disappointed with my experience. Steak and Shake might be better if you pay for a better burger, but don’t come here to save money. Also be sure to ask for fresh fries!

I’ve gone to this Stake n Shake a couple of times and I’ve always had great waiters/waitresses. They keep the place pretty clean for how busy it usually is and the bathrooms are well maintained for the most part. Usually I get the burgers from here and they’re pretty decent, but this most recent visit I changed it up by getting one of their foot long hotdogs. I got the Chicago styled hotdog which had onions, relish, mustard, peppers, and pickles on it. It was also served on a sesame seed bun. I got a side of salt and vinegar fries as well and the total cost without the drink was just a bit over $ 4. I enjoyed the hotdog more than I did their burgers, but I think I’ll stick to regular fries next time because all they did was sprinkle salt and vinegar seasoning powder over the fries to give them their flavor. The food is always a bit slow in getting to the table here and my hotdog was not so hot. However, I enjoyed the diner styled atmosphere and will probably come here again in the future because it’s relatively cheap.

This place wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t great. I’d say it was slightly better than a McDonalds and a little worse than a Burgerville. I got their«steak burger» but I have no idea what made it different from a regular burger. I also got the strawberry milkshake and Oreo milkshake. Both were good, but not restaurant quality. Regardless, the experience is shaped by the fact that the entire thing, burger, fries, and milkshake were less that six dollars.

I have dined in here several times now and so far I have had a great experience. I usually order a single steakburger with parmesean cheese fries with a strawberry shake. Very delicious! I also like their Butterfinger milk shake. Talk about heaven in your mouth. Service seems to be quick and the staff are friendly. And I’m always amazed how cheap the final bill is. The last time I was here, we just ordered shakes and desserts, so I had an oreo ice cream sandwich and it only cost 99 cents. The only time that we had to wait awhile was in the drive-through section. We just ordered some shakes and it was a little busy with several cars ahead of us so we had to wait awhile. Other than that, I love Steak and Shake!
