I recently vowed to start purchasing clothing that will last and double as casual and work appropriate clothing. I really like Ann Taylor, especially the outlet store, for these reasons. I tend to like colorful pieces or bright, geometric patterns, and Ann Taylor clothing has tons of appropriate options. The outlet prices are fair too; you could re-build a small wardrobe with some wardrobe staples, and a few statement pieces too, without going broke. My purchase here was a black, satin-y, semi-dressy blouse with flouncy sleeves and a small white and red floral print. The original price = $ 54.99. Outlet price = $ 32. That’s about what you would pay at Kohl’s. The cashier was awful though. When she rang me up, the shirt rang up incorrectly. I realized this just as I swiped my debit card, so I told the cashier, «there was a sign that says 40% off.» She might have stopped breathing. I mean, really, I think she died for a minute because she just didn’t even respond. I had to basically force her to make eye contact, and she managed an «oh.» Oh? So I did her job for her and asked if I could go look again. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and considered that maybe *I* was wrong. I checked. Nope. The big, red, square hanging on the rack showed 40% off. I walked back to the register and told her. «Can you show me?» she asked. WHYAM I HOLDINGYOURHAND? It took forever to get out of there. I was right about the sale, but she wasn’t apologetic at all and worked at the speed of a tortoise at the register. The service would not stop me from shopping here, especially because it is most likely just one bad apple. I would be more careful watching my items ring up though and have zero expectation that the employees will follow up on that.

I love Ann Taylor and Ann Taylor at a discount is even better. They usually have great deals like buy one get one half off, etc.

This store has been remodelled since my last visit. Looks better and feels less cramped. The dressing rooms have been moved to the back of the store and I believe there are more of them. Petites take note. Part of our section can be blocked by long lines at the registers, so don’t forget to shop near the checkout lines. I almost missed those items. The petite department seems bigger, but I’m not certain. I’m still finding great items at great prices here. The store is still perpetually packed, but checkout is still swift and service attentive. I really should get here more often.

LOVE this Ann Taylor Factory store! I’ve been here twice — once in the summer and once on Black Friday. Both times, I have had absolutely fabulous experiences. I have a body type that is hard to work with when buying business clothes, and the employees here refuse to let me leave with clothes that I am not absolutely HAPPY about. Both times I went into the fitting room, the employees spent over an hour helping me find the right size/color/top/bottom/anything-and-everything. They don’t mind running around the store for me — in fact, they actually enjoy helping customers find clothes that make them happy! Definitely ask to be added to their mailing list — it’s a different mailing list than the regular Ann Taylor e-mails. The Factory list doesn’t get spammed on a regular basis — only when there are HUGE sales, like their 50% off sales. Thank you for helping me find business clothes that I am HAPPY about, Ann Taylor Factory #1203! =)
