Since this place likes to delete reviews, I’ll go ahead and just post this again. And I will continue to do so. Before I start, I want to make it very clear that this place is super clean. I went there twice and both times it was ridiculously clean. So if you’re in doubt about that, don’t worry. I went in to get my Septum pierced. The only reason why I chose this place is because they’re cheaper than the normal $ 40 a piercing that«Freakys» charges me.(My budget was tight and this was a little splurge.) Mind you, I already had 4 facial piercings done. So I’m no stranger. I know the drill. And even though I was a bit nervous with this being such a delicate piercing, Allie(I believe who did my piercing) was very sweet and did make me feel comfortable. The problem was: She messed up and the piercing was crocked. She offered to do it again but I was content because frankly, I was a bit hesitant to go through the pain again.(I wimped out, basically) and we both agreed that I would go home and wait it out and just see how I like it.(After all, it could just be swollen.) And if I decided that I didn’t like it I would be able to come back and she’d do it again for free. Needless to say, it wasn’t just swollen. It was crocked. Badly crocked. And after a few weeks of waiting it out and having my friends/family laugh at me, I decided that it needed to be fixed. I’ve never ever had to go back to a shop after a piercing. In fact, I’ve never had a piercing done incorrectly at all or had any complications in the past. But I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt and go back to have her do it for free.(Although, something was telling me to just go to «Freakys» and have them fix it.) ‘It is a tricky piercing and my nose is smaller than normal, so I understand’, I told myself. Back to the shop I go – and that wasn’t the end of it. She had to(uncomfortably) pierce it two more times. YES. TWOMORETIMES! The third was done without any actual tongs, just her hand and a needle.(That was more comfortable, because the tongs were huge and we figured that was what caused the mistakes before.) That was probably the single most terrifying moment of my life as I really didn’t want a deviated-septum and I’ve NEVER had a piecing done without tongs or clamps. But I agreed and it worked alright. Except for the fact that she had to bend the ring, to make it look like both sides were even. It’s been 6 months now and I really like it! I can tell that’s it’s a bit off, but I’m okay with that. Noses aren’t perfect. Overall, I kind of liked this shop. She was nice and the shop was clean. And not to toot my own horn, but I’m ridiculously nice for putting up with all of the crap of having to come back and whatnot. Also, I was never refunded. Not to mention, I still tipped her. I’m sure other people would have thrown a fit. But there is still something that doesn’t sit right with me about having to get my Septum done 3 times. I would never want that experience again(with any piercing) so I definitely won’t be going back. I’m sure their tattoo portion of the shop is good, but I’d never let anybody there pierce me again. SIDENOTE: They wouldn’t accept my debit card, so I was forced to go to an ATM and get charged a fee to pull money to pay them. Isn’t that big of a deal and I did it with a smile on my face. But still, what business doesn’t accept cards nowadays? Kind of annoying.

It appears from the long list of disappointed people on Unilocal, that my husband is just the most recent victim of The Phoenix Body Art Studio. He was an artist with Allie and Greg for about 6 weeks. They went from promoting him to a manager in just a few weeks to packing his stuff up and advising him to take a «few days off». In being promoted to the manager, my husband felt it was part of his job to provide suggestions on how to run the shop better and make more money. Allie apparently does not feel that there is any room for improvement in her shop, because with those recommendations my husband was let go WITHOUT being paid. Not only did she not pay my husband for the last few days of him working for her, but she has defiled my husbands character and Christianity on Facebook. She has sent text messages that are offensive and not business like accusing him of being an adulterer and hypocrit. I have a very biased opinion as I feel she treated my husband very poorly for simply doing what she hired him to do. She has an apprentice that she treats very poorly as well because his trash can does not meet her standards(spots on the outside of the trash can). She took away any walk-ins he was given(money in his pocket) because he did not leave his equipment over night at the shop; equipment he purchased and paid for. I would hope that in considering to get a tattoo that you would take into consideration the way this woman and her husband treat their employees. I don’t know the quality of the artists that she currently has, maybe they are good but her business practices and treatment of people is just disgusting. If you are considering working for her, please read these testimonies and really consider how you could potentially be treated.
