LongHorn Steakhouse

The take out and bar is so slow!!! I have literally sat here waiting 20 minutes for an order they called and said was ready. It is normally cold by the time they bring it out and they always forgot something.

We have been coming to this Longhorn for YEARS & have always been pretty happy with food & service. We usually sit in the dining area but every now & then sit in the bar area. We went in this past Monday evening & it was packed & there were CLEARLY kitchen issues. The bar was packed but we managed to snag a table in the bar. Service was much slower than usual BUT I am writing this review to applaud the bartender, I believe her name was Nicky? Anyway, you could tell she was SLAMMED & had very little assistance. She informed us that there were 3 new people in the kitchen & kept apologizing for the delays. Throughout it all, she maintained a great attitude & even though she didn’t have anything to bring us, she was constantly acknowledging us. It is slightly aggravating to have such delays BUT my husband & I had more time to talk & that she just didn’t ignore us until she had food to deliver is a HUGE SERVICE PLUS! Things happen in ALL restaurants, how the staff DEALS with them is what makes or breaks the situation. So cheers to you Nicky*… I hope Longhorn truly appreciates you & you made lots of good tips! You kept us smiling & we still made our movie!

Understaffed. Spinach dip ample but lacked flavor. Spines in the lettuce. Steak over seasoned.

We haven’t been here in a while. We always sit at the bar and eat. Our bar tender Casey was really good. Our drinks were perfect and the good came up pretty fast. Atmosphere is really calm and after work this is the vibe I need. Dinner was good I got the summer corn and a sweet potato, bother delicious.
Overall good spot for a chain restaurant.

The Flo’s filet is the tenderest and best flavored steak around! and we always get great service here!

Great steaks and excellent service. I usually eat in the bar area since I am usually alone, but the service at the bar is excellent. Bartenders are right on it with your order and are right there if you need anything.

Anyone that’s read my reviews knows I’m not a gourmand, nor a foodie, I like good food and cheap /​moderate prices — so I don’t turn my nose up at restaurants like Longhorn’s.
Unfortunately this location is closest to my home and they obviously have some food-​handing issues — because at the risk of being unladylike — unless you like stomach issues, this restaurant should be avoided. I never have this issue with the Cumberland or Town Center locations. Even the Dallas Hwy location is fine.
In 7 years, this is my third visit — because of said previous stomach issues (I’m a pie-​eyed optimist and keep hoping things have changed) and each visit has sent me running to bathroom.
EDIT: According to my SO — ‘stomach issues’ isn’t clear enough because he says that could mean gas or nausea — so he’s urged me to throw out some more euphemisms — so ‘stomach issues’ aka Hershey squirts, the trots, Montezuma’s Revenge, Nothing but net, the squirts, Bombay bottom, mudbutt, toilet gravy, the scoots, jelly belly, hot butt. He swears he’s calling 11alive or cbs46.

Sidenote — I love red meat — but for some reason, the hand-​breaded chicken tenders at Longhorn’s tend to be the best thing on the LH menu and all around some of the best chicken tenders I’ve ever tasted. They are lightly floured and they don’t overcook them like most people tend to do with white meat (making them tough and rubbery).

Started out with some slow service but after that everything was great. Had the outlaw rib eye med rare cooked perfectly. Wife had the filet rare with lobster tail. The steak was close to rare, it seems it’s very hard to get a perfectly cooked rare steak these days. Overall experience was good.

Huge fan of Longhorn for it to be an everyday restaurant. I always order the Wild West Shrimp as an appetizer and it never disappoints. I’m a big fan of their salmon & the Parmesan crusted chicken. Both are delicious and are offered during lunch and dinner. For the sides I’ve had fries, mashed potatoes, a baked potato & the Steakhouse Mac & Cheese which are all delicious… ESPECIALLY the Mac & Cheese. I frequent this location & have never had issues there!

Good food with quick service. Stopped in for lunch with 2 other people and was very satified.

We went again this past Saturday night and I was again very pleasantly surprised. I ordered an LTO — the «Savory Parmesan Crusted Sirloin» — almost as good as the Filet that I had there a month ago. The cheese on top was just delicious. I also had an LTO side — scalloped potatoes. It was good but not great, I should have stuck with the baked potato. I always dismissed LongHorn because it was a chain but after my last 2 meals here, I was really impressed and am looking forward to my next meal there!

What a horrible experience. Couldn’t substitute a vegetable with an upcharge. Then they wouldnt cook my burger Medium Rare. They said Longhorns doesnt do it. Bullcrap! The Towne Lake and Towne Center locations cook it MR without question! BOH manager is called and he says its a county thing!?? Bullcrap again… Towne Center is Cobb County too. JUST BAD SERVICE! ITS THE 4TH! WHERE ARE MY RIGHTS TO EAT A M.R. BURGER!!! WILL NOT BE COMING BACK!

This was my first time at this location. I liked it. I always, for the most part, eat out with friends or family and hardly ever by myself but we had a nice time. Our server, I can’t remember the name, but he was interesting. We were in a good place and the food came out in a timely fashion while everything was prepared properly and tasted great. We did not have drinks here but they looked good from what I could see on the menu– could be the idea of what the menu is supposed to do– hmmm remains to be seen.

So I never come here looking for steak – I can grill the same thing they can for a quarter of the price. Everything else on the menu is fine but nothing that ever seems worth the price. Service on this particular visit was not great – drinks were empty for the whole meal, plates weren’t cleared, slow to get the check – not what you’d expect if you’re spending that kind of money on a meal. Fortunately you can tip accordingly.
I always leave feeling I could have gotten two equally as mediocre meals elsewhere…

I always have a great experience at this Longhorns. I tried the «Ranchers Sirloin» this time. Cooked Medium and it was Great! Comes with a fried egg and bacon on top, and it was awesome with a side of seasonal vegetables. Two thumbs up on the service and the food.

I’ve seen these restaurants every time I have come to the Atlanta area and we finally decided to come in. My better half said the food is great and he was not joking! I had the 12 oz. Prime Rib and it was great. The creamy horseradish made it perfect! He had Flo’s Filet with the lobster and it was really good too. Dessert was the Key Lime pie and the Fried Cheesecake — YUM! As good as it gets…

I cannot believe the number of trips I’ve made recently to Longhorn… LOL! Its really due to my mother though, who was visiting for two wks during her birthday and THIS is her favorite place!
She always orders the same exact thing each time, which is the baby back ribs, baked sweet potato, salad and coke no ice! Its a ritual for sure:-)
Allow me to give the wait staff 5 stars though as everyone was attentive and friendly!
This location is recieveing 3 stars for the foods. We started with the bacon, lettuce and tomato salad (wasn’t on the menu) but we inquired. The salads looked better than they tasted. The lettuce did not appear fresh, nor the tomatoes and the salad was a bit skimpy with the bacon, I’ve definitely had better at the Lexington Ky locations. The wait staff did have the salads on our table pronto!
My only order was the firecracker chicken wraps, they were ok, kinda more cheesy than chicken but were hot. Moms ribs were tender and falling off the bone, she didn’t seem to notice any issue with them. The waitress was nice and accomodating and brought out a fresh loaf of hot bread and butter for the table.
This location was extremely crowed Fri nite, Oct 26^th. The wait time was 15 mins which wasn’t bad. We were there for a little over and hour, talked a bit, the establishment appeared neat and clean and staff organized. I too like Longhorn, but I usually go at Moms request as I like to venture more and try lots of new stuff and places. Moms likes routine, …so I won’t necessarily rush back in to this location but to be fair I would still recommend Longhorns.

Every time I go back its better than the last time.

This longhorn has become my mother and I’s place to go out to eat together. Excellent food that suits my healthy diet (offers dishes under 500 calories), great service, and quick seating. Ask for Darlene, she’s an amazing waitress and has been taking care of my family for about two years!

I had a surprisingly good time here. Unfortunately I just can’t let myself to give this place higher than 3 stars. The only reason is because of the food. Yes, you do get what you pay for.
I don’t expect $ 20 steaks to be mind blowing. I should expect what type of quality the steaks are for what I pay. Even so, I don’t enjoy eating $ 20 steaks at a restaurant.
Don’t get me wrong, they didn’t do anything wrong. They cooked it medium rare. The service was excellent. The hostess handled the huge crowd professionally. I really enjoyed my time here. The steak just sucked.
The steak had a lot of fat and gristles in it. It made it hard to chew. Even at medium rare, it was tough to eat and didn’t have a good, fresh beefy taste.
If you don’t mind sub-​par steaks and just want some kind of meat dish, I would recommend you to come here.
