Amy’s Ice Cream

Amys ice cream is bad. At this location, the ice cream tasted like old milk. I wasn’t expecting much, but I didn’t want to have cold old milk for ice cream. :/ :/

Amy’s Ice Cream is very interesting in their hiring process. I do not know who the management here is and who makes the decisions to hire their employees but everyone should be fired. I have had way too many bad experiences with employees at multiple Amy’s locations. I have some funny and yet disturbing stories:
Story 1: We drove to this Amy’s in particular for ice cream bc the website stated that it closed at 11 or 11:30pm. We got there around 10:30pm and the staff there already closed down for the night and were doing a clean through. I guess they decided that they wanted to close early that night. So we had to drive to another Amy’s location.
We got to the second location and they were actually following their listed working hours so we were excited to be able to get our ice cream. We ended up staying 10 minutes longer as one of the employees was giving us a little too much insight into Amy’s Ice cream as a business model and how poor the owner treats the staff and how bad of a person she is. We nearly died listening to this employee just talk soooo poorly about the business he was working for. He made some majorly disturbing statements about the owner and how there is no upward mobility or growth/​development opportunities. Overall, just awkward.
Story 2: My boyfriend went into another Amy’s Ice Cream location and he told me that the employee making his ice cream was cleaning up a used part of the counter with all the left overs, he scooped up all the reminder of the old ice cream and extra toppings along with the melted liquids and rather than throwing it in the trash, he offered it to my boyfriend as a joke. He didn’t find it funny. The employee then proceeded to make a joke and take a bite himself. My boyfriend thought it was so gross. He threw the rest away at that point. I don’t know what planet is it considered acceptable to offer a customer the extra junk that collects on a prepping table as a joke. It’s disgusting and extremely in appropriate.
Overall, the staff is odd and better training is a requirement. We have had way too many inappropriate and unprofessional interactions in this place and probably will steer clear in the future.

Very nice and outgoing staff. Very patient they were as I asked to taste test many different flavors before ordering. The prices are a bit high, but very high quality ice cream, so you get what you pay for.

Very impressed with our first visit. Ice cream is so much more indulgent than yogurt and worth splurging once in a while. Staff was friendly and entertaining. Service was quick and the ice cream sensational!
