Horrible service. I walked in picked up the fuel injector cleaner I needed and stood in line behind 2 people. I stood and stood and stood. 20 mins later still hadn’t moved in line so I put the bottle back, drove across the street and purchased what I needed quickly. There were plenty of staff just not those to handle taking our money. Do yourself a favor and just go to the other guys first. I’m a big fan of Autozone just not this one.

Witness a male employee be short and dismissive to a frustrated older lady
Become increasingly trepidatious based on his behavior
Wait some more

Leave counter and call my BF to make sure he put a hold on the product

Arrive again at front counter

Dear Autozone: Thank you for being open late. Thank you for checking codes for free. Thank you for having a lot of stuff… but please please get your phone system and line situation handled. And be nice to old ladies, dude.

I really like how they test things for you, put them in for you, make recommendations, etc. Only thing I don’t like as with every Auto Zone, never enough people working to move the lines through, people walk in and budge in front of the line, etc.

Nice, helpful employees. Good service. This is usually my go-​to for auto parts.

This is just about the service I received to get my battery checked. I waited in line a few minutes, had to wait a few minutes longer to get the battery checked. He walked to my car, checked it out after checking on the man in front of us as well. He was nice, very informative and helpful.
Thank god for this service, they are angels, lol. Car angels. It’s free to get your battery checked out, and don’t leave the lights inside your car on, otherwise you’ll end up having to call someone to jump you off -.-

We’re not as helpful and friendly here as I would expect. Hours are good though.

I maintain all five cars in our family and I like Autozone for several reasons. They will diagnose a check engine light, check your battery or charging system, test an alternator or starter … all at no charge. They also have the largest selection of special tools available for rent also. Tool rental is basically free also. They will charge your credit card for the price of the tool and you get a full refund when you bring it back. (I don’t understand why other auto part shops haven’t figured this out.) A lot of their parts come with a lifetime warranty and their batteries are highly rated by Consumer Reports.

Thank goodness they are. Do you know how hard it is to buy tools at 11pm on a Sunday? It’s nearly impossible. Fortunately, Auto Zone is there as a beacon in the night, helping do-​it-​yourself mechanics who failed to plan well during normal business hours or who encountered major repairs unexpectedly.
Auto Zone can be intimidating if you don’t know what to expect. If you need a part, you just go to the guy at the computer (past the register), tell him what you need, and he will ask for the year, make, and model of your vehicle. The AutoZone computer system lets him know exactly what part to get for you, so you won’t need to know sizes or model numbers. If you have an emergency repair and need to put a new part or battery in before leaving the parking lot, just ask an employee if you can borrow the right tool. If he’s not busy, and you give him a nice smile, he might even help you.
If you want a good deal on hand tools, like socket wrenches, hammers, or screwdrivers, AutoZone’s «Great Neck» brand is inexpensive and has a lifetime warranty. If you need to build up an inventory of tools fast, Auto Zone is a better value than Sears or Home Depot. The air tools, which are a must if you’re doing major repairs yourself, seem okay, but I’m not super impressed with Campbell Hausfeld.
Notice how my reviews do NOT include any auto repair shops in Austin? That’s basically a tribute to the quality of products I’ve been getting at Auto Zone (also, thank you Chilton’s repair manual and Jonathan W). If you find yourself in a bind, this place is a real life saver!
