«What’s your order» is how I was greeted. They drive through only takes one order at a time. The workers are mean as hell and it takes fo-ev-vah to get my order.

This place is terrible! Not to be rude or racist but there all African American. I don’t mind at all, I was just surprised. But we ask for chicken tenders and they gave us the Fish Tenders. We thought, oh it was just a simple mistake so we took it back and told the cashier. Then she kept giving us attitude and was like«it’s there fault I told them that it was there and they said it was correct, it isn’t my fault» she said that to the other lady working with the chicken. They didn’t give us a refund, they just took it back and gave us extra fries, because we then ordered a family sized fries and they gave us just a little side of fries, not a family size fries, and to mention there was 6 of us and we couldn’t share that!

My experience has always been terrible. But this is the last straw. I went there the other day and there was a manager there present who couldn’t take my order correctly and then got an attitude when I try to explain what it was that I was looking for. She closed the drive-through window in my face and while it was closing said since I wanted to take so long she didn’t have time to wait while I figured out what I wanted. So I went inside and the little dip s*** at the front counter told me she could not take my order because I had been through the drive-thru. To make a long story short the manager talked about how pregnant I was and she wasn’t going to serve me and she will fight a pregnant b**** too. This was a direct quote. I will never ever be back for that nasty subpar food. I was just in the area and hungry. Just terrible all the way around.

The worst Popeyes in town. The manager has a filthy mouth and a bad attitude. Supposed to opn at 10:30. Stove problems so not till 11:00. Can’t allow customers to sit inside and wait. REALLY??? The counter girl once told me that she«Don’t know how to do that» when I tried to give her 2¢ extra to get a quarter back.

I went to this Popeyes like 2 days ago and it was just awful. First I was the only person in there drive thru I start ordering a 3 piece blackened chicken tender with a large mash potato and I paused for a second to continue my order the guy just tells me my total and turn offs the speaker I sit there for like 2 mins and he turns it back on and asks me very rudely«anything else?» I say yes sorry I was not done and he replys«go ahead than!» So I continue my order. I get to the speaker and I get charged and I got the window slammed in my face. I waited 30 mins for a 3 piece tender. Wtf! I’m a manager of a restaurant and if that was one of my employees I would off fired them at the spot. There’s never a reason to be rude and slam a window on the costumers. If I could give this place negative stars maybe like –3 but that would be to many. I love Popeyes but I’m never going back to this one ever again.

went on Tuesday about 930pm. about 8 people in line in the drive thru, which was expected. what wasn’t expected was I could hear everyone in front of me in line getting the same first response from the drive thru attending, a girl. she said without even a greeting.“we are out of cHicken it’ll take 20 miNutes”. so I’m wondering, all the manager had to do was look outside and see all the people in line and drop some chicken. after 15 minutes we got to the speaker, first thing they said, its gonna be 20 miNutes before we have any chicken. you can tell the emloyees are trying to run people off and its not like there weren’t a lot of people inside too. There’s just no reason not to drop a little chicken especially with all the people inside too. at least then I would understand if everyone in from of us got their order quickly and our order took 15 minutes or so, the attitude of these employees was fine after they seem to accept they were gonna make people chicken no matter how long it took. but this still isn’t good business practice. our food was hot and fresh of course which is a plus. And they got the order correct. Tuesday’s is hell day at Popeye but they should always have the employees to cover the business. why not have an employee go stand outside and get preorders from the drive through customers. you know everything that needs cooking to get a head start even 10 minutes shorter would be a plus…

Ugh, it’s been months since I went here, and I was hoping to forget it, but Unilocal just reminded me that I hadn’t written my review… so here it is. I think pretty much every aspect of this experience was awful when we were here. First off, the service was horrible! The kid behind the counter obviously didn’t want to be bothered, and acted like taking our order was beneath him. While we waited on our order, I noticed that the dining room was kind of cold. My man wanted to eat there(so the food wouldn’t get cold on the way home), so I intentionally chose a spot away from the air vents. Our food came out, and things just continued to go downhill. When I lived in Oregon, I went to Popeyes a few times a month for lunch, so I’m familiar with them. However, there’s a big different between the Lamar location and the ones I frequented up there. My chicken fingers were so dry! And my red beans and rice were complete mush. Yuck! As we sat there, it just got so unbearably cold. My man, who is the stereotypical male who is always warm/hot, even started to complain about the frigid temperature. We ended up tossing the rest of our food and left. Sorry, Popeyes, but this is the end of my Austin-relationship with you. There are far too many good fried chicken places in to deal with your crap.

That’s it, as of today I’m done with this place. I love Popeyes food but EVERY time I go here the staff treats you like you’re ruining their day, they’re rude. They rarely get your order right, it’s always really slow, ½ the food is cold, all my fries are totally soggy. I know what to expect from fast food but this Popeyes location makes it clear they care nothing about what goes out the door/window. Sure wish there was a GOOD Popeyes around here.

The line was a little long for drive thru but it was understandable because it was 2 piece Tuesday! Yeah, the staff seemed stressed but I could understand why. Plus when I asked for hot sauce, the lady gave me a lot so that’s a plus!

Giving a one star because I can’t give it a zero. Horrible customer service. Ordered po boy sandwich and tasted horrible, chicken was dry, cold and stale. Never again.

I don’t know why there are such bad reviews on here… people must have high expectations for fast food. This is the only Popeye’s I like. The food is always good and fresh. The service isn’t too great, but if you can get over that, the food is worth it. That’s the only reason I’m giving 3 stars instead of 4.

I stopped by this location(9815 N. Lamar Blvd. Austin, TX78753) on Tuesday between 2−3p. I went through the drive-thru and was not properly greeted. The lady came over the intercom sounded rude and not happy. Not knowing that Popeyes had stopped serving their 2 for $ 1 on Tuesday, I asked for $ 10 of the Tuesday special. The lady said in a rude tone, «How many order do you want?» I repeated my request and she replied the same way. I asked her if they’re still serving the Tuesday special. Again in a very rude tone, «They’re $ 1.80(not sure the exact number she gave) a piece.» After multiple times asking if Popeyes still serve 2 for $ 1 on Tuesday and after multiple times of rude respond from this employee of Popeyes, I decided to pull up to the window. The unhappy and rude employee swang the window opened and the first thing that came out of her mouth was, «How many order do you want?» I repeated my question about the 2 for $ 1 Tuesday special. Again she would not answer my question, just telling me that a piece of chicken cost $ 1.80. Not getting anywhere with this employee and tired of her rude service, I decided to leave. Being in the customer service field, I politely asked her to cheer up. Her respond to me ad I drove away, «Bitch you shut the fuck up.» If this is the kind of employee that Popeyes chooses to represent their name and the type of services Popeyes thinks their loyal customers deserve, I can guarantee you that I will never buy from Popeyes again. My money is better spend elsewhere. I expect an explanation from the manager of this location or someone from Popeyes corporate. This is unacceptable and I will make sure to share this with all social media sites and friends.

This place is disgusting. From the unclean facility to the rude employees and management. Everyone who works there is loud and speaks as if they never graduated high school. They can not operate if they have more than 3 cars in the drive thru. They have 8 employees all running around like they are doing something but you still wait 15 mins to get a small box at 11:30 on a tuesday. Just like the nighborhood this popeyes is in. Stay away from it!

The employees have a horrible attitude. They always have a wait on something or they are out of something. Poorly managed restaurant. Maybe it’s the neighborhood, maybe the owners font have pride in their restaurant. Whatever it is it makes me sad because I really like Popeye’s in general but I will not return to this one.

We were stuck in traffic on Lamar so we decided to stop and get dinner here at popeyes. Pros Drive thru Chicken and fish options Food is fresh You can get a gallon of tea or punch They have boneless chicken or bone in The biscuits are delicious Cons Mashed potatos is too small of a portion when you order 8 pc meal. For those who like mild, there was a 15 minute wait.(Thank god for me I Love the spicy chicken)

I think their Tuesday special is awesome. BUT… I’ve had issues with my order and food 3 weeks in a row. This place is wall to wall on their special night.. and their customer service goes in the toilet. The manager is overwhelmed.. And really doesn’t understand customer service. If you screw up a customers order who has already waited through the ridiculous lines at drive through, then has to come back to the store to get it fixed.. here’s some tips 1 apologize for your mistake.. you never did 2 address the issue right away.. you didn’t. .I stood their another 30 minutes waiting for my order to be corrected 3 don’t turn from the customer and complain to your employees that they want their entire order remade. after you send them away from drive thru with more then half the paid for product incorrect. 4. The special is not new.. You know the volume you drive with this promotion.. But yet you run out of sides.. And consistently don’t have enough mild chicken. Week after week now.. And you haven’t fixed the issues. I wanted to have empathy for her. .I stood patiently trying to say.. Hey.. She’s under a lot of stress.. I’ll take it easy on her. But as I watched customer after customer get upset and ask for refunds.. Or walk out in disgust. .I realized that this is a management issue.. And you need coaching. Please read this.. And work on your customer service skills.

If you don’t mind rude, unsanitary employees, cold seafood, chicken that has been cooked earlier that day, but sat under a heat lamp, come on down to the Popeyes on North Lamar!
