I had the most frustrating experience with Bevos… I called the store to see if they had a textbook in stock, luckily they did so I purchased it over the phone and was told I could come by at my convenience to pick the book up that I had bought. So I call the next day to see what time they are open so I can make the lengthy trip to pick my book up in 5 o’clock traffic… The young lady tells me that«They dont sell books over the phone» REALLY?! because i just gave your coworker my credit card yesterday… Then she tries to tell me I have the wrong phone number, so after we spend 10 minutes discussing where they are located and how I actually DO have the right number she puts me on hold for 5 minutes to try and find my book. She comes back to let me know that she cant find it, so I ask her to please keep looking because i did buy it and finally she says she sees my book. THANKGOODNESS. Relieved, I tell her thank you and before I can even say bye she has already hung up on me… Seriously, how hard is your job at Bevos Bookstore that you cant give someone simple professional customer service. I understand this girl is probably making like $ 8 an hour and probably doesnt give a shit about her job, but the management should care enough about being a small business to make it a priority to train their staff and have them all on the same page. Unfortunately textbooks arent the type of thing you can just go without so I might be forced to return one day, but I will try to resist and take my business elsewhere.

The only thing this store has going for it is the fact its directly across the school from ACC Rio Grande Campus. Staff are often rude, they do not treat paying customers like paying customers but instead they treat them like thief’s. Try The School Book Store which is locate in the parking garage on 11th Street.
