Super friendly staff and the food is killer. Jump off the beaten path and venture in(2nd floor).

One of the best places to get lunch in the University area. I recommend everything. Very inexpensive for a lot of food. Al pastor anything is my favorite.

This place truly is one of UT’s hidden gems. I got a chicken fajita and steak fajita taco, and they’re very delicious. I should have read the reviews more carefully though; the spicy sauce burned my mouth(spice-wise– not temperature). The food and sauce still both taste amazing though. The guy who made the tacos too is really nice and friendly.

This place is delicious. Definitely one of my go to places to eat great food. If you can park at the garage next to Dobie and find yourself at the mall, you will quickly see how this place brings people in compared to the other places next to it. It is by far better than all of the other restaurants there. The food comes in fair quantities and price for the amount and quality of the food. Great tasting, and they cook the meat right in front of you. Quick service. Very Friendly service. The owners will try to get to know you!

Burrito factory is absurdly good. It’s honestly unfair to compare it to chipotle, qdoba, or nearby taco/burrito places — burrito factory blows them out of the water. I usually get the taco dinner w/2 beef 1 chicken tacos + rice and beans. These tacos aren’t «Austinized» in the Torchy’s or Tacodeli way, and seem pretty authentic. Meat is excellent, garnishments are fresh, and hot sauce is HOT(beware). The two guys who run the shop are actually twins. One of them remembers my name and order and is always a hoot to talk to. The other makes some of the best tacos around.

Best burrito place around. They have great meats and the salsas/sauces are significantly better than chipotle or qdoba

Burrito factory is a hidden gem on campus. This is by far, the BEST place to get authentic Mexican food on campus. Skip Chipotle, Qdoba, or any other places if you want satisfy your taco/burrito cravings. I always get the torta al pastor, or tacos al pastor with spicy sauce. But be warned, yes the sauce is actually pretty spicy. Also I love that they add avocados with no extra charge.

This place has the best burritos in the world. The two brothers that work here(and I believe own the place) are SO sweet! I used to work downstairs, right below them, and went here for lunch almost every day. I was never disappointed. Great meal, great service, and a really wonderful price.

My favorite Mexican place close to and on campus. Served just like they do in authentic Mexican meat markets. Taco dinner for life

This is hands down the best mexican food on campus! In my first visit I was greeted in spanish which was awesome(gave it that cultural vibe). They were super nice and generous with their portions for a really decent price for college students. They also remember the regulars and continually talks to them in spanish to help them get better. The thing that I would love to highlight that a fresh avocado is added to your food automatically at no cost! If that doesn’t convince you then I don’t know what will! Go try it once!

Fantastic burritos! I’ve never been disappointed with any of the food I’ve gotten there. It’s Dobie Mall’s hidden treasure. Most of the time I’ll get either the chicken or Al Pastor as my meat, and then I get it Suizo style(sorry for the spelling). IT’S DELICIOUS, and reasonably priced. Horchata is good but I’ve had better. Other than that, fantastic place to go to lunch near campus!

Antojitos mexicanos literally 2 steps away from campus. Hidden in the dobie food court in a small little corner, you’ll find some of the best mexican food in Austin. I’m not tallking gringo tacos/burritos that have taken over ATX, and really brought a bad image of what tex-mex food should be. Go for the Al Pastor meat tacos, tortas, burritos, or tell him just to give you the whole tray and proceed to scarf it all down. Enchiladas are the best, you can order them however you want them. Great place, cured my homesickness 10 years ago as a freshman at UT and now I have my little brother hooked.

I’ll get this out of the way first… the Burrito Suizo from Burrito Factory is the best burrito I’ve ever eaten. Picture a large, authentic burrito filled with fresh ingredients, your meat of choice(or extra refried beans as i like it) drenched in a ranchero sauce, with melted cheese and hot sauce on top. Amazing. The regular burrito and tortas are good as well. You can feel the freshness of the ingredients in any dish you get. But I highly recommend the Suizo version of the burrito. The gentlemen that work here are also very nice, and after a couple time will remember you and your order. Whenever I’m back in ATX I try to stop by for a veggie burrito suizo with spicy salsa on a chipotle tortilla.

As far as burritos on campus go, Burrito Factory is by far the most authentic. With the addition of Qdoba, you’ll find burritos all the way up Guad from MLK to 24th, but this hidden gem tucked away in the Dobie Mall is often overlooked. With a lot of attention brought into Dobie as a result of the new Verts, I was encouraged to try the Burrito Factory when the line got particularly long. The tortillas are more what you’d expect out of an authentic Mexican restaurant(the harder but sturdier kind that is undoubtedly unhealthier but far tastier than Chipotle), with a choice of meats that matches. I usually end up with some sort of mix of beef and pastor(pork), and it’s always great. They cook the meat to order so it’s always fresh and hot. You can also get avacado(I believe it’s no extra cost), and they never skimp out. If you like cheese, make sure you get sauce and cheese on top. They microwave your burrito too so the whole thing is warm all the way through. Definitely a try if you need a burrito more authentic than Chipotle or Qdoba and don’t feel like wandering off campus.

Steak dinner plate. Steak was gristly and tough. Not good quality at all. Was expecting SO much better from the reviews posted here.

Super nice people! its in the dobie mall area along with all the other food vendors. the food is a little expensive i guess? $ 3 for a taco, but the food is super authentic. its also nice that they offer a variety of tortilla types too for the burritos. probably most recommend the barbacoa tacos if they have them that day!

AMAZINGBURRITOS. Once you’ve tried Burrito Factory once, you’ll never want to go to Chipotle again. The burritos here are extremely filling, authentic, and are made from the freshest ingredients your money can buy. There’s always a line when this place is open, but it moves fast; the staff is extremely competent, friendly, and will probably even remember your order from last time. I typically get either a burrito with steak, al pastor, chicken, or some combination of those choices. The burritos al pastor are my favorite, but whatever you choose you are guaranteed to get a generous portion of meat. In addition to the standard toppings(lettuce, cheese, beans, rice, etc.), you also get free avocado(!) and a choice of spicy or non-spicy salsa. The spicy salsa is legendary, but if your stomach can’t take it(mine can’t), the non-spicy is still a great option. Want something more? The Burrito Suizo is their standard burrito covered in melted cheese and tomato sauce. It’s a delicious option for days when you feel a normal burrito won’t cut it. The only downside? They have fairly limited hours at night and on weekends. However, when Burrito Factory is open, there are few options that are better from either a quantity or quality standpoint.

This place is so ridiculous. It’s tucked away in a shady corner of the very shady Dobie. But holy burrito, it’s so good. The flavors are just unbelievable. The price is really good too(although portions aren’t huge). I usually get the torta, which comes with a niiiiice amount of sour cream, avocado, shockingly spicy sauce, flavorful proteins, and fresh veggies. Their tacos are good too. The people who work there are super quick with the orders and super nice. Definitely worth going. Although warning for the weak-stomached — I don’t know if it’s because the sauce is too spicy, but the food here may upset your stomach.
