I Enjoy Living at Camden Huntingdon Apartments
The application process is easy with online access and payment of fees and rent. I like the ceiling and base floor contrasting color trim and the kitchen with stainless steel appliances. The valet trash service is convenient for the winter and being on the 3^rd floor. The staff is very friendly and giving. The business center and pool area are lovely. I would like longer hours with the business center and power washing of walk ways and stairs. Overall Camden Huntingdon Apartments provide a nice place to call home.

I’ve been a resident of Camden Huntingdon since I moved to Texas, several years ago. Before my move, I looked at many, many different apts. in and around the city. Actually went to Camden Huntingdon on the last day of my visit and was met by the manager, Shelby McNulty. I moved in a couple of months later and have never regretted it. The location is convenient to downtown Austin and a host of other events.
The valet trash cost is annoying but not the fault of the folks in the office. Speaking of the office staff, they are and have always been nothing short of AWESOME! I’ve had some very rude neighbors above me and the staff handled the situation. If the rate does not increase a lot, I can see myself being here for several more years!

They told me that there was an apt without a fireplace so I pay the application and deposit fee went back to check a week later and bam… a fireplace. I asked for another apt or refund and neither was given to me so Im moving down the street to Walnut Creek, apartments bigger and cheaper. Dont walk into anything Camdem unless you have money to give away.

I had good experience signing the lease and moving into the apartment. The maintenance staff is also very good and they tend to issues on the same day they are reported. I love everything about the place except for their package accepting policy.
The biggest issue I have with this management is that they do not accept packages from USPS. So I had to go to the post office frequently to collect my packages and due to the nature of my work, I can’t keep going to the post office during their office hours. This is quickly becoming a pain. There is also a petition on
to discontinue this decision and accept the packages.
The benefits listed in the notice to discontinue accepting packages are
1. Put You In Control — choose when and where to have your packages delivered
2. Give You Peace of Mind — packages can be delivered and stored at a package retrieval location
3. Provide Flexible Options — many locations are open late, and some even 24 hrs
This is exactly the opposite of what is happening after they enforced this rule. I talked to a couple of neighbors and all of them are frustrated with this package situation. You can see how everyone is suffering due to this policy when you read the comments on the
petition.

I have to say that maintanence is great at this complex! They always come within 24 hours of the ticket submitted and always fix the issue. I’m quite impressed!

Seriously, when I first walked into the apartment complex when I started looking at apartments, Devann made me feel right at home. The whole leasing process was a BREEZE and I couldn’t have asked for better service while renting my first apartment on my own. When I came to finalize the lease information, I hadn’t even seen my actual apartment and Allison gave me tour and was extremely helpful with my numerous questions.
I absolutely love when I put in a service request, within 24 hours it has been fulfilled. Everything is extremely convenient and easy with this apartment. I love going into the leasing office and talking to all the agents! They’re so caring and accommodating!
Camden Huntingdon is an amazing place to live, I’d recommend to anyone!

I have been a resident of numerous apartments in my life and I would give the Camden Hundington a 4 out of 5.
Pros:
The actual apartment is wonderful. Coming from New York City to this was a huge plus. Brand new appliances (refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, washer/​dryer, and sinks) Although, I was informed that my floor was going to be wood but it’s actually a «fake» plastic looking wood floor. It doesn’t bother me because it looks and feels just as real as an actual wooden floor. Everything is great about the apartment. Your rent includes a technology package which comes with high speed internet and cable TV.
Cons:
Valet waste «package» is automatically added to your rent. Honestly, I’d rather dump my own trash and save the money. The charge is small but still, I’d rather have more dough in my pocket. The grass is not watered enough. Yellow grass and dead patches scattered throughout. The other residents don’t pick up after them selves while they are at the pool over the weekends. Always a mess every Saturday and Sunday morning, although they are quiet, which is respected. BUT Camden gets it all cleaned up, which I appreciate very much. Some parking spaces are to small, even a smart car would have trouble parking… Also I’m not sure about this observation I made but I think people from outside of the apartment (non-​residents) come and park inside during the day and use the pool at their own use. If this is true, which I think it might be, it needs to be fixed! ALSO the lights used around the apartments at night… there’s to many and they are
.BRIGHT!!! Use less lights or make them a lot dimmer… or even better, make it a little more festive and put up white string lights everywhere!!!
Other than that… Camden Hundington is an affordable, better than average apartment complex.

I’ve been very pleased with my stay at Camden Huntingdon thus far. A very warm and attentive staff & ²⁴⁄₇ maintenance team is a definite plus. Their apartments also come with a washer and dryer which was one of the main reasons why I leased here in the first place. All the surrounding apartments are priced around the same yet Camden provides internet, wifi, and cable in their rent which is also a definite plus! I’ll be sure to only lease at Camdens (I just found out they’re nation wide!)

The leasing process here was wonderful! Valerie and Devann have been incredibly helpful and worked with us and put up with my constant emails (I’m a little neurotic) without protest. The office also was incredibly accommodating when our bedroom furniture was delivered to their office (the delivery guy refused to leave it outside our apartment for some reason). It’s some of the best service I’ve ever received from an apartment complex management office so I highly recommend working with them.
As for the community, it’s in a great area with plenty around it. I’m a Northie so I love it.
We’ve only lived in the apartment for a few days, but so far there have been no issues. The apartment was in great condition upon move-​in and it looks fantastic! I see people complain a lot about how they force you to use the Technology Package but I don’t really see an issue there. It’s an extra $ 80 a month for Cable AND Internet. If that is a dealbreaker then don’t sign the lease. It’s not a hidden fee because they tell you about it up front. It’s that simple. The Internet seems to be at a decent speed, too, which was my main concern about the package.
I will update in a few weeks if there are any changes to my opinion.

The location, staff, and maintenance are the first things that come top of mind and a few of the reasons that make this apartment complex such a great place to live. Highly recommended. The maintenance staff is exceptional at speedy and thorough repairs.
I really feel like I’m apart of a community. The amenities are great! Top of the line gym equipment and the pool is beautiful. The grill area is great as well.

Our lease just ended today. We have been so happy at Camden Huntingdon! It surpassed my expectations of living in an apartment. :). Evan was very knowledgeable with the many questions I had about last water bills coming through. I am very blessed to have had a wonderful experience here. I highly recommend Camden Huntingdon and if you have any concerns contact the staff, they are wonderful and more than willing to help out :)

Beautiful remodeled apartment spaces and gorgeous pool space. Safe neighborhood away from most of the traffic, and friendly staff that have always been helpful to me. No problems with neighbors, minus the very friendly but extremely noise guy above us. I think that’s just part of living in an apartment. However, I do feel like we are over paying for the amount of space we have. Although I do think the price reflects the décor and amenities, renting is just out of hand in Austin and Camden is definitely reaping those benefits. Alas, such is life. The only real problem I have had here is that we have major leakage with our windows, and at one point I was told this is a common issue here. Despite multiple attempts to fix it, it is still a problem when it rains. I think this is due to the fact that they have a 3^rd party come out and attend to it. The maintenance staff is so friendly and quick to respond, I have a hard time believing they are ignoring this issue. That being said, I would have raised my rating up had this not been such a huge factor during our time here. Also, my boyfriend (with whom I share this apartment with) would probably be writing a very different review than I. He has not been happy with our time here (over 2 years) and is awaiting the day he can leave. I think that is due to lack of experience with renting in Austin and just our different personality types. To me, this most important thing is our safety, the décor and amenities, and the staff’s willingness to attend to problems and requests. If that is what you are looking for in an apartment, I do think Camden Huntingdon is worth a try!

I wrote this email to management 11÷25÷14. I love my apartment and this community, but I am finished with being terrified.
Is a resident given the «3 strikes and you’re out» policy?
I almost called 911 again last night (this would be the third time in maybe 3 months or less). When I spoke with the courtesy officer, there was just extremely loud banging/​stomping/​etc that had been going on for over an hour. The upstairs resident does this on a daily basis, but it was way worse last night. At that point there was no screaming or sounds of someone being murdered.
He said he could not do anything to help me. As I tried to go to sleep, I heard the man and woman screaming at each other, and a baby started crying/​screaming as well. They woke me up again around 5:00 a.m. this morning.
I am so sick of this. This resident has invited this person time and again over. I am scared for my own safety, and the safety of the other women in the building that I have met. Not only is this going on with my upstairs neighbor, but supposedly another neighbor a few doors down had a very similar incident. In this case I was terrified because I happened to be on my patio and was only a few feet from the attacker as he ran past me.
How long can you let this activity go on? Do we have to wait until someone is seriously injured, shot or killed? There has to be something you can do.
At the very least please let the upstairs resident know to keep it down. WAY DOWN.
If she likes being abused by someone who doesn’t even live there, that’s her decision. She needs to move out/​be evicted. She is threatening all of our safety by allowing this awful person (s) to continue to come in. You don’t understand how terrifying it is to hear her screaming like in a horror movie, «Get the fuck off me!!!» and the sounds of what must be her being thrown against the walls and floor.
I’m starting to not even care anymore. Maybe I will just go up there and get myself invovled. I CANNOT STAND TO HEAR THIS ACTIVITY ANY LONGER. I have called 911 twice bawling crying, scared out of my mind. Maybe if I can get her attacker to attack me, then I would have the right to press charges and maybe get a restraining order keeping him from coming over. I’m not kidding.
I don’t even want to bother APD with this anymore. This is a person who doesn’t care about anyone else, and has the choice to not let this person into her home. I don’t know if I should even bother calling the police the next time. They can’t help her if she doesn’t want help.
However, you– the management– have the ability to protect your residents.
This community consists of many families with young children, and generally nice people with class and dignity.
Please find a way to get her into another community where people don’t mind this behaviour. If there is something I can do, please let me know. At this point, from what the courtesy officer told me last night, there is nothing I can do.
I refuse to accept that.
I hate being the «bitchy and complaining annoying resident». I live a quiet life, am friendly, respectful and helpful, pay my rent on time– and I haven’t complained about many things wrong with my apartment. I take care of things myself as much as possible.
I will not give up on this.

Friendly staff, fast maintenance turnaround, beautiful pool. Quite and safe apartments. Needed an apartment really fast and the office staff quickly accommodated us. Obtained a garage within the first couple weeks. Units in Whirlpool washer and dryer which is a plus. A 9 month lease here is the same price I was paying for a subpar apartment here in Austin.

I need an apartment fast and I got one. the staff was super friendly and accommodating. my place is really nice and convenient to everything, very quite and safe. I would recommend to anyone. by the was maintenance people are fast compared to see their places. peace

This is a well-​managed complex. The office and maintenance staff are friendly and helpful. When you notify them of a problem, they are on top of it ASAP. This is a great location and the residents are quiet. My only problem is that I live in a building with door slammers. I can live with that. :)

Highly recommend checking out Camden Huntingdon if you’re in the market for an apartment. Very quiet. Beautiful pool area with grills and plenty of space for sunning. A nice small gym with two TVs.
Just down the road there’s an awesome park called Gracywoods, that has a playground a creek, and connects to Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park which has amazing hiking, mountain biking, dog park, waterfall, etc. Need I say more?

The minute we walked in Ryan was eager to help and got us going right away. His personable personality had a impact on the decision of where to choose to live. Then the whole staff was super sweet and excited to have us there. Very welcoming and warm. If you want great customer service Ryan and the staff will please!

I am really going to skew the ratings here, and I don’t mean to, but I had to post about my experience with the Camden Huntingdon staff member I worked with prior to renting an apartment in North Austin.
It’s important, and I need to state that I DID NOT rent with the Huntingdon (I did put the deposit down, though). I am not reviewing the rental unit or property, nor any part of the rental process except the initial. However, I am reviewing the office staff and the candid personalized service I received from Ryan…
My husband was recently offered (and accepted) a job in the North Austin area. Coming from Illinois and only having had one other opportunity to experience Austin prior to moving, a seven-​day vacation that was most definitely NOT spent looking at rental spaces, I really needed someone who’d work with me. I needed someone who’d be willing to make my search simple, who’d provide me with much needed information about safety, and other concerns typical renters would have. I needed someone who’d really _​care_​about me as a person (and not just a commission). Well, that person was Ryan!
From the get-​go, Ryan was sweet, funny, and went above and beyond what anyone (with realistic expectations, anyway) could hope for. As seen by my other reviews, I can be a bit «wordy» at times. ;) Ryan listened to me explain everything I was looking for in a rental space. He offered his advice, gave suggestions for things I hadn’t even thought of, and explained how some things worked, considering it had been more than 15 years since I’d last rented! We spoke on the phone, we exchanged emails, never ONCE did I experience a problem getting in touch with him. And if Ryan didn’t know the answer, and he had no compunction telling me so, he’d find one from either the manager or another member of the staff.
If you have the chance to rent in North Austin and are looking for a location, though I’ve never even seen this space, based only upon the STELLAR service I received from Ryan, I’d say to drop in and give the Huntingdon a look. I was telling him today that it’s kind of sad. I use Unilocal for EVERYTHING and usually it doesn’t disappoint. I do find, though, after doing all this apartment hunting online, you really can’t depend upon Unilocal for an equitable or reliable picture. The squeaky wheel, in this case, does a lot of pouting and ranting, but the folks who rent and are happy, just don’t seem to be leaving reviews. It’s too bad, too! I cannot imagine that every complex in Austin is as hateful as some reviewers make them seem… so!
I felt it was necessary to give kudos where they were due (and earned!!). Thank you, Ryan. Snickerdoodles are on their way!

I just moved out of this apartment last week after living there a little over a year. I should have taken it as a sign when something negative happened even before I moved in. A week or two before I was supposed to move in to a 2^nd floor unit (AFTER I paid to hold it), they called me and said, «Well, the girl in your apartment can’t move out for another 30 days. So you can either talk to your current place into letting you stay (another Camden property, why they couldn’t talk to them themselves when it’s their fault? I don’t know) or we have a 3^rd floor unit available.» Not wanting to go through a hassle, I took the 3^rd floor apartment.
The good things about this apartment are the provided washer and dryer, the maintenance crew, and basic cable included… that would be about it. One of the biggest reasons I moved out was the fact they were going to raise my rent (and everyone else’s) $ 120 a month. The other biggest reason was that I would set my thermostat at 80 degrees or higher and my utility bill was $ 100. The water bill in this place was also the highest one I’ve ever had (it’s allocated) at about $ 45 a month. The parking is dumb, half of the spots are for «compact cars» only but of course there are people who can’t park and take up 2 spots or those who will park their giant truck or SUV anyway.
I agree with Kimberly about the gates… it is truly pointless that they are even there. If you don’t have access and just sit for a minute, you can get in behind someone else.
