Yummy and healthy food! I recommend the Vegan Curry Wrap– a great combination of flavors and spices with a healthy serving of veggies. And their breakfast sandwich is delicious as well.

If you haven’t been, put breakfast, lunch, dinner, or all of the above at Cazamance on your to-do list. The food is delicious and the service is very warm and welcoming! So far, I’ve had the Plantain Pancakes, Vegan Curry Wrap, and African Smoked Brisket Taco and all were delicious!

My partner and I had some wraps, and instantly my partner started to feel sick because chicken was still raw. I had the veggie curry wrap, and I felt sick few hours later. It was probable due to cross contamination, sanitation issues

This is my favorite food truck to arrive at Radio to date! I love everything they do and the Lamb Wrap has to be my favorite. Everything they make is sheer magic. Quick turn around, lots of food for the price, and simply delicious!

Great food for a very fair price! Don’t be fooled by there being no line. Friendly owner. Authentic food!

I have a bone to pick with Austin. This is some of the best damn food in the city– it is unique, rich in flavor, healthy, fresh, quick, filling, and overall simply delicious. And what do y’all do? You pigeonhole them into putting everything into a taco and a bowl because unless something comes with a hefty price tag and an eater award or it comes on a tortilla for $ 2.25 you won’t eat it. You crazy idiots… Today I’m grateful for the wonderful cook behind the counter who is passionate about his food and accommodated my request to have a plate full of their killer veggie curry and the best cous cous I’ve had in America, with a vibrant spinach salad to accompany it. These guys are the real deal, so step out of your comfort zone and jump into the world of real flavor. I promise you won’t regret it.

This is one of the two food trucks at Radio Coffee Shop. Radio is one of the classiest coffee shops in the city — and their two food trucks are part of the many good things that Radio does right. Cazamance is their African/Mideastern/Kinda-sorta-globalized food truck. I don’t care if the food is from Chad or from Kenya or from Cedar Park. It is fine when you put it in your mouth which is all that matters. The menu is small(four dishes for morning, four dishes for afternoon) — but hey, you are only eating one thing, right? When my mom cooked dinner, what she served was what we got — so four dishes already puts me ahead of the game. Special shout out for the egg sandwich which is one of the better egg sandwiches in Austin hands down. Another shout out for the pickled onions that accompany the lamb wrap for lunch. Would you take an out of town visitor to Cazamance for their one meal of eating in Austin? Probably not. Would you take a job candidate here to get them to take your position and turn down the rival offer? Probably not. But for everyday eating this place is great. Triple that if you are trying to get some work done, and you are also swigging cold brew and writing seventy eight time-is-of-the-essence emails. Put a good lamb wrap in you, and stick you in the wonderful working rooms of Radio, and your emails will be suave, sophisticated, convincing and full of warmth. Good workfood will do that for you.

Best service all over planet Earth. The food was like the service. This foodtruck is placed in one of my favorite spots in this area. There’s always place to park, you can seat outside or you can eat at the Radio Coffee And have a beer with your meal. I strongly recomment it, just delicious and original.

This is like no other place in town. Dishes are a mix of comfort and flavors from across the Atlantic. Eating Cazamance creations & their employyes always makes me happy!

Hidden at Radio on Manchaca and Ben White, this is a real find! I always make a point to go to this stand when I’m in the area, because everyone by now has caught on to the fantastic tacos at its neighboring trailer, Veracruz Tacos. Veracruz is amazing and I go there a lot, but it always seems like people just go there for the tacos and completely look over Cazamance. That’s a huge mistake! Aside from the fact that Veracruz takes 30 minutes and Cazamance will get you your food in about 5 minutes, it is really great authentic food! Really enjoyed it. Try the cous cous and chicken.

The two times I’ve gone here it was because the wait at Veracruz was too long, and I’m always glad I did. The vegetarian curry is really good. My partner got the chicken. Yeah, not much to say just really good flavors, nice staff, and almost no wait. Happy every time I go.

Yay, yummy vegan/vegetarian at a bar. The vegan curry was delicious. Perfectly sauced, can’t tell it’s vegan. Love the veggies in it and recommend getting some couscous on your rice and mix that up. Makes for a complete meal when you thought you’d make some hops your dinner and realize that wasn’t going to work out very well.

We went there after a movie. It was open until late. I got a vegan curry and my husband got a yassa chicken curry. Both were delicious. The guy who owns the trailer is very friendly too. Spices used are just perfect in their food.

This is legitimately cravable food. The owner is a wonderful person that genuinely loves what he does and it shows in the food he serves! If you doubt me, ask him why he named his truck Cazamance.

I went to Radio for Veracruz, but I gave this place a try instead, and I was pleasantly surprised. I had the vegan curry, and my son had the yassa. We both loved our food, and the price was great. The service was also great. The guy let us sample various dishes since we had never eaten African food before. To top it off, it was movie night at Radio. Great food, price, service and location… all the stars! I will definitely go again!

It was a nice surprise to see Cazamance at Radio!(last time I was here I ordered from the taco truck and it took almost an hour to bring out 2 tacos). I ordered the vegetable curry $ 6 and a pork dish $ 9 and it was out in 5 minutes and it was delicious! Highly recommend!

Cazamance on Manchaca outside Radio is AMAZING. Seriously, I’ve had a number of South African dishes throughout Austin and the Yassa Chicken Rice Bowl blew me away, perfect amount of spice, many many different flavors very well blended. Staff was extremely awesome, and if you haven’t seen their t shirt designs, they’re also very cool. I’m excited to have them down in South Austin. Will definitely be back to try the Goat Stew.

meh. My favorite thing about Cazamance before was the location, it was like entering another world going in there with the amazing entryway, old building, and plants everywhere. Not nearly as magical now. The food is still the same — decent, but nothing I’m excited to go back to. Oh well, things change, places move, such is life.

Welp the vegan coconut curry was delicious: I can certainly say my review doesn’t reflect taste or service. HOWEVER, one little problem. Okay, actually it’s a big problem… Had a bowl at Wanderlust Fest and instantly after felt a little sicky. No big deal. Maybe I was just tired? Too many backbends? Now I’m at home hours later and practically peeing out of my butt hole and vomming like a 7 year old after a roller coaster ride. Furreal. Shits not good. NOBUENO. I feel like crap and curse the person who practiced poor sanitation(perhaps cross contamination with raw chicken?) because I am now the shell of a woman I was before. This shit happens. And can happen anywhere. But gad dang, why’d ya have to ruin coconut curry for me?

Although I havent been to this particular location. I frequented Cazamance when it was located as a trailer on Rainey Street. When they first opened, the only other food option on the street was Garage-Mahal, and some trailer outside of Lustre. I know that at first they had a hard time convincing the walkers by to try the African inspired Mediterranean cuisine, but over time the peeps found out how GOOD it is. I grew up in an Israeli home, and some of the flavors are very similar. I had some issues in the past with the breadiness of some items, but they have always been accommodating with changes to their menu. Lamb sausage and Hummus plates are amaze-balls, and the options for the vegetarians is great. Check them out…

Three and a half stars for the food I’ve tried so far, a thousand stars for the owner and staff. My grrl and I were moseying around Rainey St on a Spontaneous Sunny Sunday Crawl when we were greeted by the owner of Cazamance, Iba. He had not opened shop yet, but literally hailed us down from across the yard and came over to talk to us about his place, giving us a thorough history on how he ended up in Austin from Senegal(married a Texas woman… we’re worth travelling halfway around the world for). He was so open and friendly which immediately warmed my heart. I mentioned to him that I’d had a friend cook me an authentic Ghanan meal once and the standout was peanut soup. He exclaimed that that was exactly his special for the day and I should come back and try it. Apparantly peanut soup is like our chili. African comfort food. Grrl and I grabbed our boys and came back after six. We got a bowl of peanut stew and the curried veggie bunny chow. The soup was exactly how I remembered it. You could definitely distinguish the peanutty taste. And it had a nice little salad on the side. The bunny chow consisted of squashes and carrots in a semi-sweet curry sauce served in the little bread bowl. Hubby said it tasted«like Christmas». I think there must be cinnamon or nutmeg in there. Both dishes were tasty and a decent size for sampling. I woulda loved to have tried more but we were not very hungry. What we loved most about the place, again, was the down-home comfort feeling. The gent that took our order, yes he was wearing a tie, but he was very friendly. The benches you eat on were planed out of a large tree that had been cut down to make room for the trailer. Those and the corrugated metal/plywood trailer all were made by Iba and his family who are proponents of recycling. And lastly, as we were eating, Iba’s wife and beautiful daughter arrived, just reinforcing the idea of eating at their home. I definitely can’t wait to go back and try something a little meatier and more substantial. Maybe bring a bottle of wine and sit out under the stars humming«Hakuna Matata» to myself. No worries, here!
