Staff was friendly and very helpful in explaining shoe construction and maintenance. My inquiries into the pricing discrepancy between other online retailers and the physical store were not well received. I was told that the versions sold by Amazon, Macy’s, etc. were not truly the same as the Clarks store models. I could find no evidence to support this claim, which means either the employee is lying or Clarks is purposefully misleading Amazon shoppers.

Uh, I don’t think so. Clark’s is one of those shoes you want to like, but the experience of buying them is a little harder than it should be. Note if you order on line, Clark’s tend to run a half to full size large. About six months ago I found myself in Barton Square seeking desert boots. The shoes are fine(I’m wearing them now) but pricey imo. The clerks were all over me — it was a little much I thought. At checkout they were sure to tell me to complete the survey(url on receipt) for a discount on a future purchase. Discounts are hard to come by for Clark’s so I did. Unfortunately I did it on a tablet while mobile so there was no way to print the coupon which is what you have to do. True, I could have left the tab open but I’m not that organized. Couldn’t you just make it a virtual coupon like other retailers do? Flash forward to a few weeks ago and I’m at the Domain picking up something from Apple(if you want to know how to sell things on line and complete orders in a store, just check out Apple). I wandered across the street to look for a walking shoe, and while there asked about another dress shoe I liked. The size wasn’t in stock and although I asked three separate times the clerk didn’t ever agree to check and see if any other store had it. He kept saying he «could» but never did. Really weird. No, he was not busy. I bought the walkers — which are not great by the way — and once again got the«do our survey and get a discount» pitch. Okay. This time I’m smarter — I wait till I’m home and connected to a printer! I do the survey, get the coupon and go to print. And then I notice the fine print: must be used within 30 days. Really Clark’s? 30 freakin’ days? How often do you think I buy shoes? Anyway the summary is this: not great shoe selection, sizes run large, customer service spotty and coupons that are difficult to use. Why did I give them two stars?

These are some great shoes and this store does have some wonderful people helping you out. I’m an unabashed fan of their unstructured line and can’t wait for them go on sale. You CANNOT wear another type once you had an unstructured. The best part of their store is if they don’t have a size, they will order it and ship to your house for free. You can also call in your order. I ordered 3 different sizes of the same pair on sale. When none of them fit and I wanted to return them all. The store manager Majid asked me to hold on to the best fitting pair of the lot since the discount was great, which he offered to stretch out for me try again and if it did not work, return it. To the other reviews noting the lack of service due them being busy. Please understand that this store in the domain which is one of the busiest shopping places in Austin. Don’t you wait in line for hours for your favorite barbeque?

First of all, I love Clark’s Shoes, specifically their Indigo line. I have at least 6 pairs of shoes from this line, all bought at this specific location. Every time I have come in, the customer service has been exceptional. They even helped me locate a pair of shoes at another store because they didn’t have the ones I wanted in my size. Then, they had them shipped directly to my house. It was so helpful and convenient! The store manager, Majid, seems to be in there a lot and is always super friendly, very helpful, and not too pushy. I work in customer service myself, so I always think people who go out of their way to make the shopping experience fun and easy should be recognized. I will definitely continue shopping here!

Truly terrible customer service. My fiancé has a hard time finding shoes that fit his odd-sized feet. We’ve had luck with the Clark’s brand before, but will NOT return to the location at the Domain. The woman who worked there had every reason in the world that we were wrong and offered zero assistance in finding what we were looking for at another store. Made a call to as store in Dallas and they were able to track down the shoes in the size and color we needed and had them shipped in less time than it took for that nasty woman to get explain all the reasons she couldn’t sell us shoes. Their loss.
