Creekside Live is the new dance-club-ish place right next to Creekside Lounge, which is one of my favoritest bars ever. I hope it’s kosher to list it as a separate entry, it is a totally separate building, with completely different cover, so in my book, it’s a different establishment. You can go out the back and either go to their patio or Creekside Lounge’s patio, which is cool. Lots of room to smoke and freeze to death outside, hooray! It’s pretty small but has a totally adequate dance floor. Though my friend picked up the tab, he said it was only 60 bucks for 3 of us, and we were three or four sheets to the wind by the end of the night, so by my standards, pretty darn cheap! The DJs kept trading off and one was good, and the other was not so good, but it might have just been personal preference. There was a dude outside taking pictures, and that was good fun. I am a little afraid of the ones we took at the END of the night, but whatevs. I’m no stranger to having my drunk mug plastered on the internet. The awesome thing about the night was the dance-a-thon. Just how it sounds, starting at 9:45, if you paid the extra 3 dollars cover, you got a wristband and had to stay on the floor dancing, or you’d get eliminated. I made it 3 hours(without a pee break even) and got eliminated because I was chatting and not dancing hard enough. It was getting late and they were trying to narrow down the competition. On one hand, I was disappointed because I could have TOTALLY kept going, fueled on red bull power. On the other hand, I really wanted to hang with my friends, drink, and smoooooke. And I had to pee something fierce. That was a totally epic pee. I could be bitter like my friends were when I got tapped out, but seriously, I just had so much damn fun. This will be a night we talk about for years. Like, «Hey, do you remember that night when Leah danced for 3 hours straight and then we were hopped up on redbull for 2 days after?» Oh yeah. Yay to Creekside for a unique and cool event, I hope to hear about more of them!
