This place allows dog to be inside or outside. Very pet friendly. That’s a BIG plus! Servers are great, fast, and efficient. Food is pretty reasonable for their prices. Easy parking. TV screens everywhere.

I really try to give this place a chance but ever since last year, every time I come here its something wrong with my experience. I made sure to call in advance about possibly watching a nebraska game at the bar and I was told sure just come in and ask the bartender to change the channel for one tv and it should be fine. We get there and manage to find a small table perfect for two. But when I ask to change the channel we get«well the owner wants to sit at that table and doesn’t wanna change the channel so u need to sit somewhere else.» Are you f@#$in kidding me? It took every ounce of my being to not cuss the manager out for that line of bull but hey I’m not trying to give white folk a reason to be scared of an angry black chick. So we move to 6 sitter table and still wait for the channel to be changed at a tv that wouldn’t interfere the owners game. I had to get up again and say something before the woman finally changed the channel. The mixed drinks were shitty to the point I had to return it back for a conplete different drink back cuz it was basically rubbing alcohol in a glass. Mojito was shit, watermelon aqua fresca was horrendous and I know watermelon that shit didn’t taste a lick of melon but mostly water and alcohol I just had to grab a beer to end my night. the food was good but had no napkins and god bless our waitress who was trying so hard to please us… never coming back. I will miss the cuatro chickin sandwich but not worth driving from slaughter ln to there for shitty service due to uppity management.

I’m not really rating heavily on the food, because the main reason people come here is to watch sports, and for that, it’s pretty darn cool. I don’t even really like watching sports, but it was fun here because there was a HUGE screen and I could watch easily while I ate. There were plenty of picnic tables and the food wasn’t bad. The location is close to campus with a lot of other shops around. Parking sucks. Good luck with that.

Great patio place to come what some games. The queso was great but to me the rest of the food was just ok. I wasn’t blown away by the tacos or the chicken green chile soup. They were good but nothing to exciting. Parking around there is also a bit of a pain, but we manage to find a spot a few blocks away. The servers were also very friendly and fast.

The service never seemed quite right here, to the point of me swearing I’d never go back. I broke my promise, went back, and can now name this the worst run restaurant ever. One of the 4 big screens was showing local news. I asked the bartender if she could change to a top 10 college football matchup. She said no and that I needed to talk to the manager in the kitchen. «Cassie» I believe with red hair. I asked the red haired management looking person if she was Cassie and she said no. Later I asked waiter if the that was Cassie the manager as she walked by. Waiter said yes. I asked Cassie why she lied to me and she said«I am not Cassie to you». I have never been more insulted by anyone in a place where I am spending money in my life. This bi*** needs to be fired unless she’s the owner’s daughter. And, if she is, she needs to be put up for adoption… We placed no less than 6 orders during the course of our evening. I think only two ever showed up as ordered. Two did not show up at all. I think the bartenders must hate certain waiters as he kept saying the«bar was backed up». Walked to bar several times… no line… no wait. The list of miscues is almost comical, but I won’t rant further… except: For listening pleasure the place played a 3 hour radio re-broadcast of the UT game… full blast. «Carrie» didn’t know how to work the audio system”.

I just had to write an update for one of my favorite places! We had dinner there last night and this time I ordered their OMG queso!!! I say OMG because it was so freakin’ delicious! Probably the BEST in town! I was drowning my chicken from my chicken caesar’s salad into it and then, just as I thought it couldn’t get any better, it crossed my mind to order a side of bacon and they brought out a generous side dish of perfectly cooked bacon that I also dipped into the fabulous queso! Hey, don’t judge!!! It was sooo good! LOL Everything was absolutely wonderful and delicious and I can’t wait to go back for more! Oh, and it totally bears mentioning that the waitress that attended us, while new, was super attentive and very nice! We had another perfect experience! Thank you, Cuatro’s! :-) P. S. The picture below was taken on 12÷1÷13 when we went for Sunday happy hour. This time I got the Boca Beef Tacos with sweet potato french fries and it was all absolutely outstanding! I couldn’t rave about this place more if I tried!

We got a coupon for this place on one of the restaurant deal websites just for a laid-back lunch. Getting to the restaurant was easy but construction in the area made parking a bit of a pain. We ended up parking in the lot behind the restaurant, which happened to be the lot for a convenience store under construction. There is a large covered patio area and a smaller enclosed dining room area. We chose to sit inside and we greeted by a chipper server named Ana. There was a bar in this dining area and there were probably about 10 draught beer on tap. I was able to get a sample of a few and I ended up choosing the Austin Amber. My friends chose to have the Ruby Red Margarita. I almost went in with them but it was a little too sweet for me. The price was good though… about $ 35 for a pitcher which could get about two glasses each for three people. We chose to start with an appetizer, the Queso Especial with grilled shrimp. It was flavorful and very tasty but, it left a nasty taste in my mouth later on. Sorry, TMI. After much discussion and multiple check-ins from our«saintly» waitress, I decided on the fried chicken salad and bleu cheese dressing. The chicken turned out to be a flattened breast cut into strips. It was breaded really well and very flavorful. The bleu cheese seemed to have a «Lawry’s-type» seasoning mix added to it provided a good punch. Although this is probably a staple of college kids in the area(UT is about half-a-mile away), it would be a good little Saturday lunch spot if I lived in ATX.

Came here for lunch. I decided to drive because I live a little far away from it. Warning: parking is LIMITED. If you’re lucky, you can get a spot in their small parking lot, otherwise, you have to find parking on the street. If you can, you should definitely walk. Atmosphere: I loved the outdoor seating and there were a lot of TVs. I could see why this was a popular place for games. Food: I started out with the chips and queso. The queso was pretty good.(But when is melted cheese not good?) It was my first time here, so I asked the waitress what she recommended and asked if some menu items were good. Her answer to all of them were«it’s really good» and didn’t give me much detail. I was a little disappointed, but it was ok. I ended up being really happy with my choice. I got the Seared Ahi Tuna Salad and it was a GIANT portion. This salad actually makes you full. There was a generous serving of fresh-tuna and it was perfectly seared. I decided to try two dressings, the Jalapeño Ranch and the Ubiquitos Aioli. The Jalapeño ranch was delicious. The Ubiquitos Aioli(I had no idea what it was) was kind of like a spicy mayo. It was good, but I didn’t like it with my salad. My boyfriend got the Cuatros Pica burger, and it was delicious. The fries were perfectly seasoned and crunchy, just the way I like my fries(and there was a lot of fries, too!). I’d definitely come back– especially to get that burger for half-off on Mondays!

Visited Cuatro’s on a Groupon, lunchtime during the summer session at UT. It wasn’t crowded, very breezy and chill. We sat outside, ignored the baseball game on the huge TV, had a very pleasant lunch. The food was good, totally as expected, and HUGE. Very friendly service. We liked that you can bring your dog. This place would be really fun for sports that we actually care about, but I’m sure it gets crazy packed and the parking would be a nightmare. Would definitely go back.

Such a chill place! Came here after finals during happy hour with a friend. Finals made me forget what day of the week it was(Monday?), but the happy hour specials for that day wasn’t bad. All Burgers were only $ 5(if I remember correctly) and the drinks were reasonably priced. My bacon cheeseburger was actually pretty great given it was only $ 5. I’d be hard-pressed to find a burger like that for $ 5 elsewhere! Our waitress was really nice, had great drink recommendations, and made us feel comfortable. Honestly, this place is great during happy hour! A nice spot to kick back and catch up with friends for a couple of hours.

First Time to eat here– pass it at least once a week, always wanted to stop in but always busy. today i said screw it, i want some tacos. loved this place, my waitress, such a cutie and oh so sweet! we started out with chips and queso and i had a jalapeño rita. interesting drink, if you like spiccy, i totally suggest it. queso was a little watery :(sorry, queso is my thing, therefore i will judge you on it! my Kona tacos, i had with corn tortillas, so they had the street taco taste i looove. and they were very very delicious! i tore ‘em up! their green chile rice, not like your typical side of rice you get at any mexican restaurant. loved the flavor!!! fiancé had the sloppy quatro. he is a very big pulled pork fan so he was very impressed as well. will be sure to go out of my way for Quatro’s again

Cuatro’s Restaurant, located in the heart of Austin’s West Campus neighborhood, is a hot spot for students at all times of the year. The building itself is stylish and features a giant television screen(16 TVs put together) that shows all the major sporting events. The drink menu is extensive and the prices are reasonable. Parking is available, but not ample. If you are close enough to walk, I would suggest you do. If you are looking for a place to hang out with friends, watch the game, and have a few cold ones, this is the perfect place for you. However, if you are only going to grab a bite to eat, I would not recommend Cuatro’s as your first choice. My overall star rating for this restaurant is 3.5 stars. Service: 4 stars Our waiter was a genuinely nice fellow. He was courteous and respectful. However, my S.O. received fish tacos when he ordered shrimp, and I noticed that he messed up the drink order for a patron sitting across from us. Food presentation: 4 stars The food looked absolutely beautiful. The presentation far exceeded my expectations. Sometimes, however, the food presentation adversely affected taste. Food taste and quality: 3 stars Pulled Pork Quesadillas These quesadillas were greasy and had no flavor. The pico de gallo was dry and lacked flavor as well. Fish Tacos This was the best meal at the table. The rice and beans were well seasoned. The tortillas were fresh and warm. However, the fish was slightly overcooked and there was too much sauce present on the fish. If you plan on visiting Cuatro’s soon, I would recommend ordering something simple and staying away from seafood.

Living social strikes again! I tried a different burger this time since I now know you have to pay tax regardless and since most credit cards charge you minimum $ 1, figure may as well get something pricier(marginally). This time I opted for the bacon cheeseburger. Seasoned patty, ultra soft and slightly sweet bread and two pieces of bacon. Fries were crisp and airy just as I remembered too. The bread is what makes this burger great in my opinion; it reminds me a lot of Phil’s icehouse buns, but larger and arguably better. Again, the order was on time, though that may have been a function of summer around UT.

I was driving around the UT area last night, trying to figure out where to eat, when I remembered this place. The drinks(both alcoholic and otherwise) are cold and plentiful. The food is a variation on bar food, with a variety of appetizers, burgers/sandwiches, and tacos. My brisket tacos were definitely above average and could be considered good BBQ, although the brisket was a bit lean and sliced thick. The real star, at least to me, were the tater tots that someone else in the group ordered. They were crispy, and unlike many places, there were more than enough of them on the plate. Overall, a good place for«bar food» options, drinks, and a place to watch almost any game.

Cuatros has slowly inched its way to top place for me to watch Soccer/Football matches in Austin. Who would have known Austinites would eventually espouse the underdog of sports in comparison to All-American favorites of Football(aka Egghand), Basketball and the«favorite pastime» of Baseball. Add to this Cuatros is a Chelsea headquarter and they play every UEFA match without fail, seriously, I’m stoked. The place is organized, they even provide you with a schedule of most games and regarding service, you can actually text numbers to provide feedback and assure you are satisfied with the games, the food, the cleanliness and the staff. Also, don’t know if anyone mentioned this in previous reviews, but it makes me smile. The owner of Cuatros has a dog named«Cinco» — which not only is indicative of his sense of humor, but how welcoming they are of dogs in this establishment. I know this because his friend walked up to me while I was outside enjoying the game, and brought a fresh bowl of water for my dog, Zico. The guy doesn’t even work there, but he didn’t want me to wait while my dog was trying to survive the 100 degree heat. And dogs aren’t just confined to the outside patio area, you can actually bring them inside! Lastly, the food here is great for a place that mainly caters to die hard sports fans who don’t mind a couple of cold ones too. I’ve noticed that most places that serve drinks and show sports, skimp out on the quality of food because, let’s be honest, a couple of drinks is bound to numb the most sensitive of palates. So kudos for a place that goes above and beyond in every aspect of a sports bar. In all the years I’ve lived in Austin and driven down 24th street, I can’t, for the life of me, remember what was there before Cuatros set up shop, but they are a welcome addition to the UT campus and a yard stick for all sports bars that strive to excel!

Because I never watch sports, Cuatros isnt my bar… but that doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate what they do right. Huge TVs, decent food(decent… not great), big pitchers of beer, gigantic glasses of water, lots of seating, okay servers(better when school’s not in season) and they cater to the soccer(futbol) crowd. Is it really a four star restaurant? Eh. But it’s really great for sports fans and we need some good local sports bars.

They support Barcelona futbol, and have a massive outdoor multi-screen TV complete with heat lamps. I had 3 Dos Equis(yes, of course lager you schmuck), they were all excellent. Each better than the last. Ergo, Cuatro’s rocks.

I really like Cuatros, for a couple of reasons. 1. Carlsberg on draught. For whatever reason, the past few years I’ve been all about Carlsberg, and I love places where I can get it from the tap. 2. Cuatro. A truly nice man, who works hard to not only run a good bar but also help the community. I got to meet his father the last time I was there, and you could see the pride in his Dad’s face as we discussed the various good works which Cuatro helps foster through his establishment. They’ve got plenty of tvs, including a megatron one where you can sit out on their covered patio and watch sports. The food is good, the service has always been great. in short, I love going to Cuatros, especially if you’re into non-American football.

Things I like about Cuatro’s after 2.5 years of being a regular. 1. They give back to the community in spades. Just want to mention one item, when one of our favorite Unilocalers lost their home to a fire on Christmas Eve last year, Cuatro’s teamed with me to raise funds to assist them in recovery. In fact in the past 2.5 years, Cuatro’s has worked with me to raise funds for the Miracle Foundation, Colin’s Hope, our favorite Unilocaler and most recently The Wounded Warrior Project. He provides complimentary meals for 50 plus folks who spend the day fund-raising and then gather at the restaurant to celebrate the success. That alone is worth a couple of stars. 2. The owner is the chef and cares deeply about the folks who eat and drink at his establishment. I can tell you, he reads every single review he gets. It bothers him greatly if someone doesn’t have a good time and try’s his best to make the experience better. He knows he can’t be perfect always, but does his best when someone has a legitimate concern and voices their experience. 3. They have become another go to place for English Football. His pricing is fair and offers up breakfast taco’s to folks who arrive early in the morning to watch. An item which isn’t even on the menu. They are not complimentary, but inexpensive… like 2 bucks I believe. 4. They try to be what they are. a laid back place where you seat yourself and sometimes might even have to ask for a waiter/waitress to drop by the table. Generally, they are on the ball and you get service quickly. This has been my experience. 5. If they have it on TV, they will do everything in their power to get the game you want on, but will also check with others before switching a game over. I think first come first serve is a fair practice. Since the wife and I have spent some much time here over the years, we have become friends with the owner. So, in a way, I also care that he succeeds in a difficult market. But also, we wouldn’t spend so much or our time and our income here if we were constantly provided with sub par food and service. With the weather like it is now, it’s a great place to check out their new menu and drinks.
