Ehh. This place is good for sports events. But most of the times, it is packed when there is a big game. Good for them. The food is terrible. We had a burger, some fries and some taps. Way too greasy and salty. However, taps are pretty good. Good prices and good selections.

Slow service, always understaffed, wouldn’t serve the actual legal people at the bar and instead served the underaged patrons. The guy named Jared is really cool, but the short-haired brunette was rude. Fun on game day. Tip: your bartenders shouldn’t be drinking on the job.

Great burgers and tots to munch on while you watch your favorite teams. They also have a good selection of craft beers and a full bar with daily specials

Tap 24 was exactly what my boyfriend and I were looking for when we wanted to watch the Rhonda Rousey fight instead of purchasing the pay-per-view at home or going to another bar charging $ 30+ just to get in. Tap 24’s cover for this fight was $ 10 and that was perfect! Tons of televisions(with sound) and a decent amount of seating. Ordering something to eat was kind of inconvenient because it appeared you had to order through the bar only-no servers. The food though made up for it. The sampler appetizer was insanely huge!!! Enough to feed at least 6. Wings were ok; I’d probably get those at another restaurant however. The grilled chicken salad was super yummy and reminded me of a fajita salad with avocado and grilled onions. I’m not sure what the ambiance would be during football season. Tap 24 is west of the UT campus so likely to have a lot of college students for those sporting events. Definitely a cool place to try to for drinks, food, and sports,

Very much a college bar. Very affordable drinks and specials everyday. They pride themselves on being the place to watch Première League Soccer. Open air bar with large tables outside. Great place to watch your favorite team, if you don’t mind being around college students. The burger was actually very good, and the tots are comparable to Sonic.

This place is a UT bar, no doubt. If you come here on game day, you better be a longhorn fan. They have a fairly good menu, full bar, and lots of different beers. Great prices. Definitely recommended for game days.

We popped into this bar before and after a wedding reception and the drinks are cheap and our bartender Vivian was super cool. Really she made the experience great for us, she was polite and attentive and offered to keep the bar open late so the bride and groom could meet up with us. The bar was clean, there was a lot of seating so when we moved our party across the street those of us who’d been partying in high heels all evening were able to continue drinking in comfort. There were College specials such as a mini-beer and a shot for $ 3 and while the combination of bud light and Goldschläger was not desirable to our«adult»(read: we’ve been out of College for awhile) palate, you can’t beat that price!

I came here with my boyfriend and his friend so they could watch the cowboys game(literally just left half hour ago) and I had to immediately write a review. The kitchen closed at five so we weren’t able to order any food but she was very hesitant to let us grab food from somewhere else and bring it back to drink and watch the game. Also, when we asked to get sound on the tvs(multiple different tvs and other guests were asking as well) she said«I’m really bad at technology soooo I don’t know how» really? She’s asking to lose business this way– we went there FORTHEGAME! My boyfriend got one firemen’s 4 and she gave it to him in a plastic cup and he was charged $ 8.00 for it. Come on girrrrlll! We out

You know what, the bartender is doing an excellent job catering to over 30+ people here for a Champions League game by herself. It’s Champions League week they need a minimum of one Bartender, one waitress with this kind of crowd. Bad job by the shift managers.

Apart from the grimy smells that remind me of nothing less than my fraternity house, Tap 24 cranks out some decent grub. You have to go past the facts that seating is limited, the layout is funky, and when the garage doors are closed, it is darker than a pool hall inside. But, you come here for the beer and food. The former of which actually focuses on a good rotation of taps, the latter of which provide good sustenance in the midst of the drinking most come for. The chili cheese fries went beyond the typical shredded cheddar and Wolf-brand meat. It seems the meat is actually minced up into a more runny meat sauce(with the necessary orange tint, of course), and the queso follow suit, as Tap 24 actually pours queso right over the top. Fries could have benefited from a little more salt, though. I would liken them to McDonald’s fries-which are good, mind you. Nothing too special about this establishment, and by nothing special, I mean it is just another doomed spot at this long-failed corner of West Campus.

Unbelievably poor service. Yesterday, my friend and I went to this place to watch a soccer game and have a couple of beers. The bartender(a woman) behind the bar was rude, drunk, and obnoxiously loud. The place seems like a frat house where it’s ok to get intoxicated and get to a fight. We walked away thinking we would never go back.

It’s definitely a West Campus bar. Drinks were expensive even for WC. The service was Ok. It gets two stars because there are much better bars. We also noted the prices of drinks were not posted and people were charged differently.

What an amazing place to watch games and eat great food! Best patio on W Campus. They have great drink specials and the burger and tots are about as good as it gets!

a frat house with a liquor license. meh. …and now i will elaborate, lest the good people at Unilocal mistake my succinctness for dishonesty… this bar is kinda clean. the service is slow, and apathetic. the food is like yikes. there are plenty of places to watch sports in this town and we won’t be back. my advice to these folks is to up your hospitality game, especially when the students are away and the little things matter more.

Stopped in twice while attending rehearsal and then wedding across the street. Was bummed they served cherry bomb as a shit and not a drop drink. But the first night we grabbed chicken fingers and fries. Best chicken in a long time!!! Yum!!! Fries were shoestring and well seasoned. The bartender introduced me to Austin Eastciders which was great! We got good, quick service both days!

While I will always miss Cuatros(fellow 4th and Chelsea fan here) this place has reopened as a great local sports bar. Glad to see the familiar outdoor seating with brand new TV’s. Havent had the food but I think the menu speaks to the more bar/sports group. Will be back for futbol and football!

I frequented this place when it was called Cuatro’s and I’m an even bigger fan of the new Tap24. The staff is great and ready to make accommodations. If you’re not a fan of what’s on their menu, walk next door to Freedman’s BBQ and get an order to bring back(both owned by the same guy). As far as improvements, they now have more room for seating, more tables, and it looks like more televisions. There aren’t very many great sports bars in Austin, so the fact that this place is back is very refreshing. While I’m not a fan of how soccer-centric this place can be(I’d rather watch paint dry than soccer), you can just ask any of the wait staff to change the channel on one of their many TVs and they’ll gladly do so. The drink prices are pretty competitive. Even if there’s not a drink special that day, you can still order a lot on a budget(I’m actually having a hard time writing this review because I’m still hungover from how much I ordered there last night). I hope that they bring back the crawfish boils on the first Sunday of every month when it gets to be that time of the year again. Those were always fun. I really don’t understand why people are bashing this place. In my opinion, Cuatro’s didn’t have much room for improvement to begin with, but I do like the what they’ve done with the place.

My husband and I went here the first weekend it was open. We were really disapointed. We really liked Cuatro’s though. Maybe they are still trying to figure things out. This is a very college feelling bar now and they serve cheap beer(expensive, cheap beer at that) in plastic cups, not even pint glasses. Food is pretty basic, burgers, and hot dogs. We did not have the best service experience, again, maybe still trying to figure things out. The watress never came to us and ignored us the entire time. The bartender was friendly though. I might come back but after they have worked out the kinks. Maybe it will be a hit with the West Campus college crowd, esp with all the new apartments going up.

Decent place. It replaced Cuatro’s(West Campus changes so frequently, it’s wild), but it doesn’t look much different. I went there to work one evening while UT was playing baseball. There are so many TVs, you sports watchers will not be disappointed. The fans all over the place make even the hot nights enjoyable — good call! While they have decent drink specials, it’s usually only on the typical domestics. $ 2 Miller Lite tall boys the night I was there. I had a bit of a sticker shock when I paid for my $ 5.50(512) IPA, but then again, it is Austin.

So this business used to be Cuatro’s. The owner decided to shut it down to retool it. Unfortunately what little Cuatro’s had going for it has been tooled out. The problem with Cuatro’s was it didn’t have anything unique going for it. It was your pretty typical sports bar that sold mediocre Mexican food. Tap 24 hasn’t changed much. They painted surfaces that didn’t need painting. They closed off some of the open architecture, and they went to a more traditional bar food menu. The name change implies that they are more focused on beer… wrong. I counted 22 working taps that featured such craft beers as Lone Star, Miller Light, and Budweiser. Most of the beers were duplicated to give the illusion of a large selection but the closest thing to a delicious brew was Blue Moon. I wound up instead getting a pretty disgusting margarita that was served in a plastic cup only slightly larger than a dixi cup. A complete waste of 6.50. Between the smell of paint fumes, to the over priced drinks, to the complete lack of atmosphere I left feeling very disappointed. I live just down the street so Ill check in again a month. Hopefully by then they will have gotten their act together. Bottom line: –They shouldn’t have opened their doors until they were 100% ready.(at least until the paint fumes cleared out) –They badly need to work on their beer selection, with a name like Tap 24 you should only be utilizing 4 – 6 taps for low end beers like Budweiser, Miller, etc… the rest should be delicious craft brews.(Even Cane & Ables have figured this out) –There is literally no reason to be here except for watching sports, if a game isn’t on you should still have means of entertaining your customers(games, music, something! Even a beer pong tournament would be better than nothing) –Anything to separate themselves from other sports bars. They’ve taken a cookie cutter sports bar design and run with it. They will need substantially more imagination if they wish to survive in an era where every frat and sorority has at least one large screen TV to watch sports on, and a convenient store on every block to supply the beer.
