Not the best pluckers ive been too. Had for here one time it was horrible looked 5 days old. BUT a manager did give me a gift card to get my food replaced — again ehhh they are just a bunch of college kids that don’t care for service If I was honest. I’m in the industry of management over customer satisfaction and more and I’m truly disappointed. Other locations show you the food before u take it home. Here they just give it to you and send you home. Since the Pluckers is literally down stairs, ill still be coming here as I love their wings, but still a little disappointed when it comes to wings after trying other pluckers.

If you plan on coming here, know that it’s usually a wait. There seems to always be a line extending outside every night. Even when there isn’t a line, there’s still a 30 minute wait(minimum) for a party of two. The service from my most recent dine in was sluggish. I became frustrated when other(larger) parties who came after us were served first. Then there’s the increase in prices in the past years for what was already an expensive plate of fried meat and bones. Pluckers was one of my first UT experiences when I had it during orientation. For the most part, it’s still rather delicious, but not enough for a regular venture. The combination of the wait, service, and price has made Pluckers a lower option on the list. Would I still come here again? Definitely. But probably with out-of-towners.

Best wings in the world!!! And yes I’ve been around the world multiple times. I’m totally in love with PLUCKERSDRYRUB! I live in Los Angeles and I come to austin monthly for business and I’m obsessed with these wings and HAVETO have them every time I show up in this great city! Shout out to Rudolpho the floor manager who treated me right tonight. It’s the wonderful employees like Rudolpho and these mahvslous wrings that keep me referring Pluckers to everyone and earring them everytime(monthly) when I’m in austin!!!

Wings were good and service was average to good. I was with a large group that was initially sat in a large booth. Which was fine, except then they started to broadcast about UT sports and it felt like we couldn’t really talk since they were doing that. I suppose no one was stopping us from talking, but everyone in the general area still instantly became quiet(not just at our table, the entire half of the restaurant) because of the recording. So we asked to be seated outside because of that. Just be aware that if you’re rowdy or are planning on watching a game or something, that this may happen while you are there. **(Edit: please see the owner’s reply to this review on when this normally happens; I guess we just happened to come on that particular night of the week!) It’s probably not too big of a deal if you’re just there to eat quickly or sit at the bar.

Dry rubs are my fav! Lots of coupons in my pocket from game day wins! Spend $ 2 min, and they give you 5 free bone-in wings. I couldn’t eat bone-in I tried this place. The spicy wings really aren’t too spicy. Mac and Cheese makes for a good side, as well as fried chips with ranch sub for dressing dip. Happy hour specials! Dessert WASAMAZING– try the brownie

I am writing my review based on my very first experience at Pluckers Wing Bar and I have to say I left very satisfied with how great everything tasted l. My brother and I were exploring around Austin and we were feeling very hungry I had the idea of trying out Pluckers for the first time. We went to the West Campus location since it was nearby. Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted by the host, it was very crowded being that it was football Sunday. We waited for about 20 minutes which was fine we were in no rush. What I didn’t like was how small and packed it was. Once we sat down we were given menus and gave down our drink orders. My brother ordered lemonade and I ordered unsweet tea. When our drink orders came in I loved how it was served in a mason jar. Being that I’m a Texas girl it is a MUST to serve tea in a mason jar. I ordered 10 piece wings with waffle fries and decided to try regular lemon pepper and spicy lemon pepper sauce. My brother ordered their patty melt. The waitress asked if we would like to have free fried pickles being that it was our first time it was on the house. Who doesn’t love free food?! Once we got our order the food was amazing! I have no complaints about the food. I now prefer Pluckers wings over Wing Stop! What I will complain about was the service. I understand that it’s very busy but I hardly saw my waiter and that really affects how your experience will be. That is the reason why I’m giving it four stars. P. S.- Pluckers, if you are reading this I ask that you PLEASE open one in San Antonio! You guys are by far the best place for wings in the great state of Texas! Sincerely, A Unilocaler

Great chicken at great prices, always a fun time at pluckers. However, expect a very long wait– both for your table and for your food. They don’t take reservations or call aheads so be ready to wait no matter what. Service isn’t very good either– they’re always too busy. But with all these expectations aside, you’ll definitely get your fingers greasy with some good chicken and sauces! Just from dinner last night: Buffalo chicken salad: their salads are huge! I love this salad because you get the boneless buffalo chicken on top of some«healthy» produce– makes you feel a little better about eating at pluckers I guess. Baker’s gold bone in wings: I got this flavor for my 5 free wing card from a UT football game. Super spicy but pretty tasty! Magic shrooms: sauce is good, very plentiful appetizer to share Holy Mac and cheese: my personal favorite of the appetizers. Basically Mac and cheese fried like a mozzarella stick. Chutney sauce and ranch are great with it too.

Fun fact: Pluckers was started by a duo of UT alum who felt there was a lack of good wings near campus. And they were right! Now Pluckers is the number-one to-go place for late night wings cravings. Appetizers: Don’t pass up the fried mac and cheese! Probably will clog your arteries but totally worth it. Sides: Classic waffle fries go well with the wings, but magic shrooms(fried mushrooms) is also a good choice! Wings: You can’t really go wrong with any of the sauces. If you’re a first timer, Baker’s Gold and Gold Rush are solid choices. My current favorite is Ginger Peach Siracha. The Dr. Pepper sauce is actually surprisingly good as well. As much as I love the food here, I still have to dock one star off for service. Wait time is almost always 20 – 30 minutes, even on a weekday. Quality of service is not consistent… Some days my server is super responsive and fast but there are a few occasions where I had to constantly remind servers to remember my table exists. Lots of big tables and TVs in the restaurant! Definitely a great place to hang out with a large group of friends.

After a cocktail party, my girlfriend and I were still hungry. Her: I kind of want pluckers. Me: I had a dream about chicken wings last night. Off we went! We walked up to pluckers and it was so busy! After getting a buzzer to let us know when we could be seated, we realized that we stumbled onto trivia night. Apparently they do it every week and you can win a $ 200 gift card. That’s pretty cool. We opted out because I’ve done too much bar trivia during my drunken early twenties. I was just here for the wings. We split a 15 wing combo in order to get some fries. I also snagged some iced tea. It came in a mason jar. This reminded me of trips to my grandma’s house back in the Midwest. I was at home! I’ve been to other pluckers and the wings were just okay. Maybe it was all the cocktails I had before dinner, but this trip was great. I recently had some issues at other chain wing places and I was glad to get some decent quality wings. The waffle fries were okay. I’ve never been a fan of them at Pluckers. They’re always too dry and I feel like they’re made early in the day and just sit there. The tap water is pretty bad. Don’t even go for it. It’s Austin tap unfiltered. I’d probably also recommend staying away from this place during trivia. The service wasn’t that great. Trivia just attracts a lot of people that don’t buy much and stay for a long time. I don’t think the waitresses really cared for the crowd.

TFW you don’t know who your waiter is for 20m. TFW thirsty but no waiter. TFW he refuses to take your order when he finally comes. TFW one absolutely unbearable experience ruins an entire restaurant for you. Sorry but this is ridiculously bad service. Das not it mane.

Word on the street is that this location sucks, according to UT students and Austinites. I actually came to this Pluckers location for the first time 3 years ago and I loved it. Yesterday was my second time back and I was not disappointed. You know which Pluckers sucks? The Houston location! My boyfriend and I came here and ordered the fried mac n cheese and I almost forgot how amazing it was. Probably one of my favorite places for fried mac n cheese. As for the wings, we ordered these flavors: Garlic Parmesan: it’s saucy and has a little bit of a spicy kick to it. I tried comparing this flavor to bdubs garlic Parmesan wings but I can’t. They’re both delicious Gochujang: Korean BBQ sauce. Tastes a little sweet but I like it Dr. Pepper: probably one of their more unique flavors. It doesn’t really taste like Dr. Pepper. I don’t think it’s as sweet as the Gochujang flavor but it’s still good. I recommend them all. My personal favorite is spicy ranch but I forgot to order that one yesterday. The waffle fries weren’t amazing but they were decent. As for dessert, we ordered the fried Oreos which comes with vanilla ice cream. No lie, it’s really delicious. Definitely satisfies the sweet tooth. Service: Our server was really attentive and friendly. 5⁄5 Overall: I recommend this location. People who have been disappointed should come back to see if any thing has changed. My boyfriend and I personally liked it a lot.

I’m not huge on wings, but I love coming to Pluckers on the rare occasion that I crave them. It’s a great place to eat late at night, or with a large group of friends, and is conveniently located near UT campus. The drinks are decent and inexpensive, and the wings are great; there are a lot of unique flavors like gochujang, which I have yet to try, and Dr. Pepper. I especially enjoy the lemon pepper and honey bbq. I always get the 5 or 10 wing combo, which you can order 5 of two different flavors with, and all combos come with a side. The sweet potato fries are good but a little too sweet — topped with cinnamon sugar — so it’s all about the regular old waffle fries for me. The cool thing about Pluckers is that it’s a really fun place to eat. They host Bingo nights and always show the most popular sports events going on. Also, if you get a Pluckers member card, you can use your points to get free side items such as fried pickles(which are great), nachos, fried mac & cheese, etc. I definitely recommend Pluckers for a get-together with friends, watching sports, or a late night meal!

One of the best sports bars in Austin and its a chain(Austin locals please don’t cry). Pluckers Wing Bar is a chain, but when your looking for a great sports bar and wing joint it’s hard to find a better location. There are a ton of TV’s, the beers are cheap, and the wings are great! All the sauces are great but my favorites are sesame, buffalo medium, and parmesan garlic. Get a ton of ranch you’re going to need it and the following day you will crave it(I wish they bottled it). Insiders tip: Sign up for the pluckers club, it has a one time fee but every time you go you will get a free appetizer or dessert.

This is definitely a staple eatery for UT students. I absolutely love their Mac and cheese! Their wings are amazing as well. I usually get the mild hot wings, Mac and cheese, and lemonade. I will say that they are a bit over-priced but I still eat here because it taste good and is a nice place to hang with friends and watch a sports game. The servers are usually nice and you can sit outside if the weather’s nice.

College students, college students everywhere! Right dead smack in the middle of west campus, this is a UT student staple. Everyone goes here because they either have those coupons from sporting events or they’re here with friends. Me, personally, I would never go out of my way to order their food to eat by myself. My friends and I were here yesterday to watch Mavs vs. Rockets playoff game. I was really impressed that the waiter didn’t seem ticked off or annoyed that we were there the entire game. I really liked how he didn’t rush us, but let us enjoy the game. In my opinion, their food is pretty basic just because I would prefer Wing Stop over Pluckers. My favorite is spicy ranch wings with buffalo sauce. Their waffle fries are pretty good, but sometimes they come out cold which is a pet peeve of mine. Like I said earlier, I only come here with friends, not really for their food. So as a place to hang out, it’s pretty chill.

This is my favorite wing place ever. Pluckers has a rewards program that gives you points and deals every time you dine there. This place is a University of Texas staple. From the fried pickles to fried twinkles. This place is a college kids dream. I’ve been eating at Pluckers for 12 years. It honestly the best wing place. They have so many sauces its crazy. My favorite are the Ranch and Honey Barbecue. You can pay extra and get all drums. The waffle fries are hot and crispy. Pluckers homemade Ranch is the best Ranch you will ever put in your mouth. I always go to Pluckers every time I go back to Austin since moving away. This place is my favorite. From the ice cold huge beers to the amazing desserts. This is a must try if you are in Austin and love wings!!!

Service is slow, but my cousin said that it is a college place so it is and always will be like that. We shared a Monster plate with boneless wings and waffle fries, which were ok. The boneless wings were huge and meaty. The lemon pepper was very strong– you can actually taste the lemon and pepper. My favorite had to be the honey BBQ, which was perfect and sticky. A fair amount of food for the price you pay and a chill place to watch a game and hang with friends. I can see why this place is popular!

Pluckers is the best place to come to after a night at downtown! They are open late every night of the week. Although the restaurant can be packed at times, its always worth the wait. On this visit, I had the 10 wing combo with tater tots on the side. The spicy ranch is always amazing and very flavorful. Their Gochujang is also pretty tasty and it actually does taste like korean barbecue. I really like how their wings are always very large and perfectly crispy. I am already looking forward to my next visit!

Came and got seated right away! Would have preferred not to be sitting near outside in the cold on one of those stool tables, but hey can’t really complain when was able to get a table at 8 oclock. Hardly any customer service without hawking down the waiter. Wings came out room temp, and the fries came out cold. A plus for the guy who brought out two new orders of warmer fries. I like pluckers for two things. The fried oreos and the spicy ranch!

WARNING If you don’t read anything else in my review, read THIS and engrave it in your mind: AVOIDFIRE-IN-THE-HOLEATALLCOSTS. «One does not simply eat Fire-in-the-Hole wings. Its meat is coated with more than just sauce. There is spice there that does not sleep, and the Great Chili is ever watchful. It is a barren wasteland, riddled with fire and pepper and pain. The very air you breathe is a poisonous fume. Not with ten thousand men could you do this. It is folly.» Yeah, don’t do it if you know what’s good for you. And for the love of god, if you eat it, make sure you thoroughly wash your hands BEFORE you go to the bathroom. Trust me. Anyhoo… MEAT The quality of the Pluckers wings are by far the best and biggest I’ve ever had from one of these chain-types. They must source from a mutant chicken farm or something, these things are big and they are meaty. Don’t think you’ll be able to eat the same amount you’re used to from Wing Stop and Buffalo Wild Wings. I’ve made that mistake before. Their boned wings are huge, and their boneless are even bigger. Really quality white meat that’s juicy and perfectly done. I always get the boneless basket(in an effort to be «healthy») SAUCE They don’t have a ton of sauce flavors, and honestly, they don’t need them. They do the ones they have right. My favorites: 1) Bakers Gold 2) Hallelujah 3) Gold Rush SERVICE The service here is alright, but food takes SO long to come out. It’s that way everywhere at every location — Allen, Plano, Dallas, Austin… it’s all slow. Don’t think you’ll get out there for a quick lunch. FINALNOTE Really. Don’t get Fire-in-the-Hole unless you want pain everywhere.
