Outrageous prices!!! First, we wanted to order some beers on the happy hour. Was told some domestics were one price and imports another. Then some of those domestics were different prices. I ordered the Capone which came with no toppings… not even one. Each topping was either $ 2 or $ 1. The price of 3 toppings came to the price of the calzone???

So tower bistro advertises a 2 slices and drink deal on Hooked(a groupon-esque food app) for $ 5. Not bad. My friend walks in, tells them he wants the deal, they take ONE regular slice of pizza, literally slices it into two, and charges him $ 5. One slice of pizza and a drink doesn’t even cost five bucks. Friend tells the employee that, employee laughs and says they’ve been doing that but no one has caught it yet. There is absolutely no reason and no excuse for any restaurant to do this. I’ve never had beef with this place — I mean, they sell subpar overpriced pizza but that’s just west campus food. But from now on, I am never coming back here, and I urge all of you to follow suit. Unilocaler, out.

My friend and I got the mushroom madness, and it was probably the worst pizza we’ve ever had. Not only was it flavorless, but it was topped off with some kind of mysterious looking juice that dripped off every slice. YIKES, definitely not worth it. For $ 17, I would have rather taken my money to papa john’s!

I seriously love this place! I live close by and sometimes when I’m craving pizza I grab some to go! It’s only about 3 $ for two slice and they make it fresh right on the spot usually! So worth it! It only takes about 7⁄8 tasting pizza in the west campus urself a favor and skip the places on the drag

I was working downtown and was headed somewhere else when I stopped at this place. I told the guy working behind the counter I was in a hurry. I opted for Nachos, figuring it would not take very long to make. I sat at the bar waiting for my food. This place was very busy with college kids. My order took longer than it needed to. When I received my nachos, it was in a bowel one might serve pasta in. It was not even real cheese. It was some sort of liquid cheese that was warmed under a warmer. They put these red onions on it that you might find on pizza. The jalapenos were not even hot at all. The nachos were $ 8 and with drink it was over $ 10. It was not worth the price at all. The other reviews say their pizza is good; but, I watched the pizza come out of the pizza oven and it looked kinda skimpy. If I was young, going to UT and living in the dorm, this might be a great place with great drink specials. I was just looking for a quick bite before it got too late and they do not offer pizza slices till after 11pm, which is way too late for me to be eating.

Very great pizza!!! Good staff too. We came here after a night of drinking expecting for just regular pizza but wee were pleasantly surprised. Delicious! Also good deals on alcohol

it’s not deliver it’s Di’sgusting! The crust was too thin and under cooked in some areas. The entire pizza(the veggie) was a hot mess. I’m talking bald, umbrella window smashing Britney Spears bad. It was edible though. Frozen pizza tastes better than this nonsense.

The pizza was not good. Half of it was very thin and half was thick. The thick half was very undercooked and doughy. It took forever to order over the phone, and the person taking the order was quite rude. He opened with«what do you want». When I went to pick it up, I had to wait at the counter for 15 minutes until someone walked over to help me. They were not understaffed that day, there were actually employees just sitting around. When I told them my name the guy said«let me check on it for you». I waited another 10 minutes. Then the cook came out from the back and said, «what are you waiting for again»(not the same person that was originally helping me). I said that a server was getting my order. Then the cook said that there wasn’t anyone looking for a pizza back there. Then he asked for my name and asked what I ordered and said«hopefully it got made… I’ll see if I can find it». Finally after another 5 – 10 minutes the manager had to come over and ask what I needed because no one was coming back with my pizza. He found the pizza easily. Most of the employees seem like they have no idea what they’re doing. At least the manager had a little snap. I will not go back again or recommend this place to anyone. Austin’s pizza, homeslice, even dominoes pizza are all better.

This place has the BEST drink specials in west campus AND free pool. Can’t beat that. I come here whenever I have some free time.

Umm… I tried calling in a to-go order, but I got a guy named Jeremy who informed me that I should instead hang up and go to their website to place the order so that their system could sort it out and arrange for delivery. After explaining that I live nearby and could just pick it up, he kindly shared with me that«[he’s] lazy as fuck», so going online for the delivery is definitely the way to go if I share in his persuasion concerning effort. Hey, don’t I have a coupon for Mellow Mushroom, which is just down the road? Oh, what a relief.

The convenient location in West Campus and trivia night are good reasons to come here. I’m afraid, however, those are the only reasons. The food: I’ve gotten their pizza a couple of times, and I’ve tried their spaghetti. The spaghetti wasn’t too bad, except it seemed like it had just come out of the microwave. It was cold in spots, and really didn’t have too much flavor. The piece of bread that it came with was completely inedible and stale. Their pizza is really underwhelming; seriously, go to Austin’s Pizza instead if that’s what you’re looking for, it’s less than a 5 minute walk away. Their service is very hit-or-miss. The service that you get does not at all depend on how busy they are. The first time I came here, there were 4 people in the entire restaurant. My girlfriend and I waited nearly 30 minutes to have our order taken while our waiter sat at the bar and chatted with the bartender and a waitress, about 10 feet away from our table. That sort of service, is, unfortunately, not out of character for TPB. That being said, there are a select few who do a great job. Also, their happy hour prices change on a weekly basis. Not a huge deal, but I hate being in for a shock when I get my tab. Keep it consistent, guys! Anyway, final advice: if you’re coming here for drinks because it’s close by, it’s not a bad choice. If you’re coming here for food… you may want to look for something on the Drag instead(or Plucker’s, right next door!).

Been here a few times now and waiting 30 min each time is ridiculous for a hardly mediocre slice. No apology for the long wait.

I’ve been here a few times and despite my repeated«A-OK» experiences, I’ll probably still come back. However, it definitely won’t be for the food or service… I came in one Friday evening in a group of 7. When we arrived, there seemed to be as many customers as there were staff, so it wasn’t busy(only one occupied table that I could see on the first floor). We were told to seat ourselves(which we liked), but then our table went unnoticed for about 10 minutes… No one came to greet us at our table, despite several staff members noticing us and speaking with us when we walked in the fairly empty restaurant. We finally waved down a waitress and ordered. And things didn’t go much better afterwards… Just for funzies, my friend decided to time how long it would take for a group of 4(that just walked in) to be serviced. Another waitress was there in less than 2 minutes, so snaps and kudos for her! We all ordered alcoholic drinks of some kinds, and two of them were margaritas. Except the margs were BLUE?! That was odd, because I’ve seen one of their margs before… And the blue«margaritas» weren’t very strong… we probably should have said something, but we didn’t. The food is honestly okay — there’s nothing wrong and/or bad with what I’ve eaten here, but service definitely needs work. One of my party ordered waters for every person at the table. After being told a second time that we needed waters, the waitress brought out 3 cups of water for our table of 7… Like I said, I’ll probably come back, but only because it’s a convenient place to get drinks. However, in a neighborhood such as UT’s west campus, where there are bars on the Drag, Cain’s, and Pluckers, I hope that Tower Pizza Bistro steps up their game.

No bueno. Least flavorful pizza I’ve had. Thin crust, which wasn’t bad but the toppings were minimal and it was ready within 4 min. which I guess is a preference. I prefer paying higher dollar for a unique flavorful mellow mushroom around the corner. However I could see this being a good drunk night in west campus option. if only they were opened later.

This pizza place is right across the street from my apartments, so I figured why the heck not go try it out. I love pizza. I love convince. I love convenient pizza. I was very underwhelmed. The pizza was pretty good, but not especially great. The staff was awful. No one seemed to know what they were doing or cared to try to pretend that they knew. I won’t be going back.

Literally answered the phone with«what do you want» a few minutes ago while trying to call in a delivery order. negative 5 stars just for that. Then when asked if they still were delivering(as grub hub said they were until 11:45 and it being 11:10 we assumed they were) they replied with a very professional«ummm, naw not right now.» Will never be eating here again.

Where else can you get an incredible(and huge) slice of pizza, walking back to your apartment, at 12:15pm, for $ 3BUCKS?! This place is amazing. The pizza is so flavorful, the waitstaff is super attentive, and the whole atmosphere makes you feel like this place just belongs with the UT atmosphere. I’ve come here a few times for drinks and appetizers with girlfriends, and we have enjoyed our time here so much. This place really has the best value when it comes to prices for drinks, which is awesome when you just want to unwind after class. My friend gets the fried avocados every time, and they are DELICIOUS, no complaints. We’re so lucky to have a place to just walk to when craving some delicious pizza, I hope it sticks around for a long time.

So I stumbled onto this place after leaving pluckers and I was impressed. Free pool, and great prices on drinks and food. I will be returning. Please don’t tell your friends.

It is so good. It is SO good. The take out special is a really good deal! You get a piece of pizza bigger than your head and a soda for $ 5. I was skeptical about it at first because I am really particular about my pizza, but I am so happy I tried it! Definitely will be going there more often

Walking along Rio Grande on a Friday around 7 pm to get back home to make dinner, I spot this new restaurant on my way. Had a slight pizza craving so I decided to give it a try. Went in, was greeted nicely when one of the pizza chefs came and talked to me. He was friendly. I ended up ordering the Pizza alla Vodka to go, as it was one of their international pizza winners. After eating the pizza, I could see why. I am usually a traditional pepperoni pizza kind of guy, but their pizza combination was delicious… The only complain I have about their food is that the crust was rather large and tasteless. Either way, I am definitely going to come by again to enjoy the full restaurant experience and try some of their other pizzas.
