Wow, my best friend and I had the cutest night last night (thanks to Dive). Cocktails were elegant, beers on tap were ample, and Jim was our hero. Can’t wait to return!

Dive is in this really awk spot between campus and downtown, so it took me a good three years to finally make my way over, but once I did I absolutely fell in love.
How can a dive bar be quaint and charming? No idea. Maybe it’s their bar dog or their super friendly bartenders (smile in their eyes kind of dudes), but I love the vibes of Dive, it is by far one of my favorite casual hangouts. Small, but really clean and well done.
— They have food now which is really exciting. $ 4 tacos, $ 8 quesadillas, $ 9 nachos supreme, $ 3 chips + salsa, $ 7 salad with a kitchen open till midnight.
— They have different drink specials everyday of the week (think $ 5 cocktails, $ 2 tallboys, etc), and I unfortunately can’t find it on their website. However they have it posted up inside the bar and outside of the bar on a little sign every day.
— This little unsuspecting bar is home to some of the neatest mixed cocktails I’ve ever had. Check out their full list here:

This was among the trendiest cocktail bars I Have ever been to. The drinks were affordable and the bartenders were wonderful! They certainly took pride in the cocktails and needed to ensure that we were loving them. I tried 5 distinct drinks and I believe my favorite was the Killer Bees Knees. All were tasty!

I’m only giving this place three stars based on how appropriate the name is for this place and the bartender’s great effort in making us feel like we were welcome. The bartender made some excellent Moscow mules and even gave us good recommendations for dinner tonight. He was witty, positive and sarcastic. Right up our alley! If you’re looking for a dark divey bar for a quick drink then this is your place. If you were looking for something bright and uplifting then I suggest you try somewhere else! Thank you Dive Bar for serving its purpose of healing our wounds, after a really dull tour of the Capitol building in Texas.

This was one of my favorite places that we went to, while visiting Austin. I love the chill ambiance of this place, the awesome music, the EXCEPTIONALLY great service, and the drink prices! I wish we could have spend the entire trip at this place.
Drinks are great, and Bjorn is the best bar tender. He was super awesome at telling us about Austin and the cool places we should visit.
I highly recommend this bar if you’re up for a good time in Austin!

I love Dive Bar. It always has a super shill atmosphere and the prices are great. The bartenders are fabulous and know how to make a real drink. They have a different booze special every day of the week. They’re dog friendly and always give the pup a treat when I come. What more can you ask for?

Great place for friends and drinks. Like the atmosphere and the friendly service. Bring a coat if you like the patio, and this place is popular so the outside gives you a little more room and better chance for talking to friends.

This is my go-​to after work spot. Great outdoor seating out back, friendly bartenders and owner, and delicious craft cocktails. They also have some great specials throughout the week. namely half priced bottles of wine on Wednesdays. The quintessential dive bar. I’m so glad I discovered this place.

The drinks here are way above average. I enjoyed Aperol cocktails then had one made with St. Germaine. Really delicious drinks, carefully made, by beautiful people. Will come here again definitely

Friendly service. Great specials. Lots of cocktails to choose from. It has more of a state worker crowd than a UT student crowd. Check out the quieter patio out back. And I have to say the bourbon, chai, honey and fig frozen cocktail was all that I hoped it would be.

This bar is only a few blocks from the main UT campus soon über needed to get here. The place is pretty small inside and has a small patio area outback. They have a big board of their craft cocktails and the bartenders when we visited were in full hipster garb. It was not busy at all when we came here so our group was able to grab a table and hang out for a few hours. It seems like it would be a cool place but would get packed really really quickly if more than a few groups came at the same time. They do have 2 TVs and an arcade game too.

Pretty cool spot here. Awesome skateboard deck art for sale and a few arcade games to play there. The bartenders are very friendly and the «old fashioned» for 6 $ is pretty damn good. I love me an «old fashioned» and these guys here sure know how to make one

The Dive Bar is exactly what is says. It is not the cleanest and isn’t very big. However, the drinks are amazing. Try the honey badger — vodka and ginger beer — yum. Colin the bartender was friendly (we were the 2 in the bar). It looks like this could be a hot spot for college folks (or older folks like us). We had a great time!

This place is in the middle of nowhere between Campus and Downtown. My friend and I were going to a dinner training at Claypit and got to the area super early. We looked around at a place to hang out and… DIVE was the only place that was there. I’ve driven by this place a couple of times and thought it was a random in the middle of nowhere downtown. Place looks really simple from the outside. On the inside is a small space but efficiently laid out. There’s also an out door area that I didn’t see much of. Lots of beer and craft cocktails to choose from. Bartenders were nice, atmosphere is chill with a unique mix of people and pups! The prices were also very affordable with some happy hour specials as well. Defintely 2 thumbs up.

Awesome service and great bartenders! «Mark» (the nickname we gave him) and the other bartender were super friendly and helpful in offering us drinks and letting us know what places were good to tour around Austin since we were from out of town. Can’t wait to visit again and come back here!
Even offered a phone charger for my friend when her phone was dying! Super amazing place!

Dive Bar is pretty perfect. Lots of drink specials, good beer, a wide cocktail menu, friendly bartenders, and a good-​looking space. They don’t yet serve food, but they’ll let you bring in food from somewhere else. I love the mural on the wall. Don’t ever change, Dive Bar!

Yep, it’s definitely a Dive Bar but it’s a homey, friendly and accommodating dive bar so, there’s that. They offer a full service bar and both indoor and outdoor seating. The bar is indoors. The bartender was friendly and attentive. He gave us excellent customer service. The outdoor seating area includes four large community picnic tables, it has walls but an open air roof and a stairway that leads… well, nowhere really. The outdoor seating area is also smoking friendly and that is not appealing to mean. There is no table service and I don’t think they serve food but they did allow us to have food delivered to the restaurant from other establishments.
The Dive Bar and Lounge is a nice, no frills watering hole with friendly service. It is not fancy, nor does it portray itself to be.

Dive Bar and Lounge had me all excited about, well, a dive bar. I like dirty dives.
This is not a dive bar.
However, doesn’t mean it is a bad bar! They are more of a trendy bar if you really want to be specific. They have specialty cocktails and such. The interior is nice, pleasantly dark, but not dirty and faintly smelling of years of smoke and drunk locals. The Moscow Mules were well-​mixed. I may have had a few. There’s a back patio, a bar, and small tables along the side for sitting.
This was our last stop of the night and I’m not sure I needed any more, but the mules were refreshing and the vibe was pleasant. Add in the 80s tunes they were playing (is retro the new hip thing or did a child of the 80s have control of the music… or did I just imagine it? Either way, it was fun, so I am going with it.) Give it a try!
