Ordered the long island. It was good but far from great. Some of the chewiest lobster I’ve ever had.(I lived in Maine for two years so I’ve eaten a lot of lobster) Extremely disappointed by the size of the roll. It’s small. For $ 18 totally not worth it. The chicken fried bacon was overdone and lacked flavor. I didn’t know it was possible for bacon to taste bland. The mardi slaw was really good. The horseradish in the deli style mustard roumalade gave it some zing. Soda served warm in the bottle. See pic with fork for size reference. Overall good but you can do better.

This place needs to update their hours online and on their voicemail. Pretty disappointed to hear they won’t be open until 4… Will come back but they jammed up my day.

Their lobster roll is amazing! A bit too pricey though, considering how small their rolls are. It’s $ 15 for a roll and I would seriously need like 2 rolls to fill me up. Definitely a place I would go to if I feel like treating myself out.

They have a lot of interesting rolls. The maine event was the best I had of the bunch — decent amount of lobster on some fantastic bread. Just enough mayo and herbaceous enough to compliment the lobster. The connecticut is really good too if you like pure unadulterated lobster flavor. But as good as it is, I really can’t justify that much for a sandwich — I rather have just the lobster itself. I’d stick away from the other rolls though — too much going on that you can’t taste the lobster anymore.

I was a little skeptical about trying a lobster roll from a food truck because I was not sure about how fresh the meat might be, but it’s been heavily recommended by friends so I gave it a shot and I’m so glad I did! It’s so fresh, no fishy smell or taste whatsoever. I’ve been back multiple times and it’s always been soooo good. If you go get the Austin lobster roll, it’s the bomb!

Not too impressed at all. The«Maine Event» roll I had was not very good at all. It was supposedly«tossed in a light dressing» but it lacked any evidence of being dressed. No flavor at all. I told the guy working when he asked me how it was and his response was«well how are the tots?» The inside of the Airstream was dark and gross looking, too. Never again.

I gave this place a second chance and loved it. If you haven’t tried it yet, I would recommend them. I had previously written a bad review because they were never open(even during business hours) and they took the time to write me and respond so I support their efforts.

I had a Groupon so maybe that is why I couldn’t find the lobster in my lobster roll sandwich. Previously, I thought it was good.

Every time I’m in Austin I see this food truck, but they’re always closed(it’s right next to long line at Gordough’s so of course you’ll see it)! Finally on Labor Day they were open! BF picked the items he heard were popular and I checked in on Unilocal and saved us a $ 1 yay me! We ordered the Maine Event(Lobster), Oh Boy, Peaux Boy(Shrimp) and 2 orders of Tots! I’m a lover of shrimp so that hit the spot and if you don’t mind the fishy flavor(duhhh), then you’ll enjoy the lobster! The tots were too oily in my opinion, but yummy with some ketchup. It wouldn’t be the first place on my mind when I go to ATX, but I’m glad I finally tried it and maybe next time I’ll order the scallops! BTW: The Fourth Star is because the staff were chillllll and there was a «Don’t Dallas My Austin» sticker on the counter. H-Towners know why that deserves a star right?! ;)

I was so excited to try the lobster rolls here and to learn they have a deal that adds slaw and home made chips, add on more excitment! Sadly I might have hyped it up too much for myself. Parking is a bit difficult as it is a small lot with other food trucks in the center. When I got to the window I stood there for a few minutes because it seemed like no one was there. Then the guy pops his head in the window. I showed him I had a passbook and he just took it to stamp, told me the price and after I paid just told me a few minutes. It was a little off putting, but I really wanted to try the rolls. When he was done he just dropped my bag on the counter and started walking away while telling me utensils were in the bag. I felt like my business wasn’t wanted =/. I get home and the roll was tiny, not as the other pictures shown looked. It seemed as if he barely stuffed them to make them look full while only filling the bread a tiny bit. The slaw was a bit bland, but it didn’t bother me much. I was also very upset that the chips weren’t in there. It may have been a bit my fault for not checking my bag before leaving, but the guy made me feel unwanted I did just want to leave. Not sure if I’d want to return to this location, even though it is closer, but hopefully I’ll be able to try the other truck as the lobster was really good. The guy was just very off putting.

Lots of lobster ! It was really tasty, fresh, but I couldn’t taste many of the other ingredients. The bread was good and he was playing Kendrick in the trailer ! Good came out quick as well.

First time. Took server’s suggestion. Just the lobster roll(The Maine Event). Great lobster on a very traditional and chewy, the way it should be, roll. On my list as a keeper. Only minor issue is that when I got there, the truck looked closed. I had to circle it and hear the server ask if he could help me. Small price to pay for a scrumptious lobster roll.

I stopped by Dock & Roll during Trailer food Tuesday and I got to say. it was amazing. They had sliders instead of full sized rolls with homemade potato chips on the side. The lobster serving was generous and very flavorful! Update: I went to visit their trailer one afternoon and the food was still amazing. I ordered The Maine and it was filled with lobster! I will definitely be coming back!

This is my absolute favorite place in town HANDSDOWN for lobster rolls. Why you ask? Well, when I eat a lobster roll, I want my roll to be well. «lobstery!’ Yes, now I am just making up words but it is exactly how i feel. Their lobster meat in their rolls are big chunks, so I get that satisfaction I wanted with each bite I take. The bread is warm and slightly sweet, just absolutely perfect for their rolls. My favorites are either the Maine Event or the Connecticut. The lobsters in the Maine Event is tossed in their house made mayo while the Connecticut is one days when I want simplicity and the lobster is warmed in lemon butter with no house mayo. Either way you go, you cant go wrong, especially if you get their tator tots. SERIOUSLY if you like tots, get the tator tots here. Its amazing how they can get something so simple so perfect. Its crispy on the outside and«potato-y» in the inside. So if you want«lobstery» and«potato-y», this is the right place to go.

To be quite frank, I was told not to have lobster here in Texas because it wouldn’t be fresh or enjoyable. I probably should have listened but despite my better judgment, I was on a food truck binge and had to try the lobster Maine roll. The truck and seating portion was small but cute but the cashier(bald, husky, tatted man) inside was, for lack of a better word, a complete douchebag. He didn’t open the window for us even though he saw us standing there for a couple of minutes. He was curt, disengaged and downright rude and when he gave us our food, he threw the bag on the counter and slammed his window shut as If he didn’t want our business(there were no other customers). The lobster roll itself cost a whopping $ 15 and was nothing special at all. There was no flavor on the lobster roll except cracked black pepper. I will say they didn’t skimp on the amount of lobster given, but it Definitely tasted like it was frozen and reheated. Bottomline, this food truck is one I could have skipped. I won’t be back.

I just finished my lunch and am already writing a review. So lucky to stumble upon the Dock & Roll truck parked outside the office. Ordered the lunch plate(half roll of your choice + slaw + chips), and it was only $ 8. Despite the fact that that would normally have filled me up, it was so good that I was very sad I didn’t ignore my conscience and order a full roll. I really planned to get the Fat Tuesday roll, but since it was my first visit and I went with the lunch plate, I chose the classic Maine Event roll instead. Solid choice. Lots of lobster, lots of flavor and buttery, yummy bread. Even the slaw and chips were delicious. Will definitely be back to try the full-sized Fat Tuesday roll next.

A lobster roll was $ 15. Knowing seafood prices, that’s really not bad, but based off of the idea that this $ 15 roll was supposed to make me full, it was kind of pricy. My boyfriend and I split a roll simply because we didn’t want to shell out $ 30 for our individual one. We got Truth, which is just habanero sauce on top of their Maine Event. The lobster was fresh, tender, and super buttery, and the roll was packed with it – every bite, the lobster kept spilling out. The habanero sauce added a nice kick. The bread was really soft and crispy on the outside. I wish there was a bit more flavor because though it was good, it tasted like something you could make yourself if you just knew how to cook lobster. The seasoning and sauce really didn’t make it anything special, and I feel like the $ 15 could have gone for something more satisfying and/or fulfilling. Honestly, you’re just paying for the lobster though. Service was really friendly. We came on a Sunday afternoon, and it wasn’t too busy. Really perfect for when the weather is perfect. All in all, I really liked this place – I just don’t know if $ 15 was really worth a sandwich that was a bit on the plainer side. Will come back again the day I’m craving it, but as of right now, I’ll remain being a broke college student without the funds for pricy, touristy food.

Oh Dock & Roll. You are delicious. I remember my first time trying a lobster roll, I couldn’t believe how much lobster was in this sandwich! I was so amazed, and for the price! It was marvelous. The price used to be $ 12 but they have since increased it to $ 15. Still not a bad deal for lobster rolls. They do put less lobster… filling in also. The first time I encountered that, I was a bit disappointed. And also, they didn’t have the Lobster Mac&Cheese AND the guy serving was a bit rude. But hey, I can handle bad service for delicious food. The last few times I’ve been here, usually on a weekday for lunch, they did not have any Lobster Mac & Cheese. Sigh. So sad. Not sure if they are not getting enough business on the regular days or not. However, I will keep coming back for my lobster roll fix. Hopefully the server is nicer and they have that Lobster M&C! I always get the Long Island b/c I love the celery and onions and a side of tater tots b/c taters. It’s a food trailer so when the weather is nice, it’s perfect to sit outside for a roll.

Kinda pricey. 2 main events, tots, chips ad 2 sodas $ 43 But lobster is expensive. Was very tasty and they don’t skimp on the meat. The customer service was awesome and the atmosphere great. We will be coming back.

This place is goooooooooood. Delicious, fresh lobster and a super friendly staff. It was my first time here, and the guy working the trailer was incredibly friendly. He asked if it was my first time there, talked to me about the menu, and made some recommendations. We tried the Maine Event, the New Orleans Slaw, and the Tater Tots. Two Maine Events, the tater tots, slaw, and two waters came out to about $ 37. Well worth the price for that amount of fresh lobster. I also loved that it was very light. I’ve had some Lobster Rolls that were drowned in mayo. This one had the perfect amount. When you order, they give you the option to either eat there or they can wrap it up so you can take it to-go. Perfect for those too-hot days! Can’t wait to come back!
