I wanted to teach my son about robotics and flight. Mich and Mike were extremely knowledgeable and patient. They took the time to explain exactly how quads and drones work to my youngster and i ended up buying a 3DR iris+ from these guys after visiting the drone dome on 290 at the Y. This is a unique business so there’s not much to rate it against but i’d just give this team a big thumbs up for what they do. I also wanted to say i’m glad we spent a little extra on the 3DR because i think the flight experience was much better than some of the smaller ‘cheap’ quad you can get for under $ 100. The 3DR drone is based on an open source project which means there is tons of online support and information to help guide on the learning process. These critters are definitely more akin to robots than the old radio controlled aircraft. So there’s an inherent ‘lesson’ in each preparation to go fly. I hoping dronedome can exist to also help educate and support kids and adults who want to learn more about this technology.

I continue to keep dropping by this neat operation. I added some more photos and a video. They do have some items from other stores, fancy, non-fancy, complex and non-complex. I myself have learned a lot about when a propeller is damaged on a flying plane, hovering items,(I had a few cheap ones in the past that I usually quickly broke), that the blade pitch may be affected if the propeller comes off. That has happened to me through the past years. Also, the younger folk are the ones who can be really skilled and now they have even set up a «race track» inside the Dome. They are getting attention from the media and are making determinations as to whether and have a permanent facility put up or not. The technology is fascinating to me.
