Management continues for MONTHS to demonstrate contempt for customers! I used to eat here regularly, but after writing corporate many times about the same problems, and receiving lies every time that things will improve, I’m done. I go/went before 4p — mainly for the small hamburgers. Today, like many, many times before, there were NO burgers for 45 minutes. There were a pile of cold, cooked patties, that were eventually put in buns and served — way overcooked/gray and cold — same experience with several visits. This is absolutely intentional — higher food cost items are deliberately left empty. All the low food cost, starchy, unhealthy foods are kept stocked for fools to fill up on. Many/most clients are(naturally) morbidly obese, and seem satisfied as long as the troughs have food. Several other items were also empty for over 40 minutes, as seen repeatedly before. Apparently, tartar sauce is higher food cost item. The manager either doesn’t even casually check that foods are replenished, or — more likely — specifically instructs employees to keep higher food cost items empty. The owner no doubt rewards the manager for keeping food costs low. Also, I get strong symptoms of MSG after every visit.

Golden Corral We stopped coming here for lunch and dinner for a reason. So, we decided to give this place a shot for breakfast. Food was hot and thats their only saving grace. The food was edible, but not good for the $ 9 a person price tag. The ingredients used were not prepared well and were poor quality. It says a lot about a restaurant that has carpet in their dining area. Could you imagine the bacteria accumulated over years of spilled drinks and stepped on food? When we sat down to eat there were small flys coming out of the wall under the window sill. We asked to see the manager and all he asked us if we would like to move. We were done at that time and left. All I can say is; Never again.

Umm for $ 9 you can eat ALLYOUWANT. Not just that but most of the food is actually good. And the variety is absolutely ridiculous. Ok sure it isn’t a 5-star fancy schmancy restaurant and it isn’t perfect but I don’t know what else you could possibly ask for for $ 9

We are eating at this restaurant many times and have always enjoyed it. We look forward to coming here. Today will be the last time we ever come here the food was horrible the shrimp was undercooked it ready was brought in the middle. When brought to the attention of the manager he said the trip is cooked the breading is wrong there’s nothing wrong with it. I refuse to eat raw battered shrimp. The bathrooms are atrocious there’s toilet paper for people have wipe their backsides thrown down in the Stalls the place is atrocious here’s some pictures of the bathroom. I give it one star only because I have to I would not recommend bringing a dog to this restaurant

This is definitely not fine dining, but I didn’t go in with big expectations. Lots and lots to choose from. I was actually pleased with the prime rib. Had good mushrooms and fried okra. Everything else was forgettable at best.

This is a place myself and family go to often when we feel like a quick place to eat. Normally its hit and miss on the wait line to get seated, Mainly depends on the day and time. Wait Staff are also hit and miss. Only recall one that truly did stand out. Don’t recall his name. Once we got to our table. He asked what we were drinking. He bought us a second drink out. Normally when you are eating its tough to find staff to get refills. This was a awesome thing. He also made numerous checks with us to ensure we were ok. Food selection is just a tad above average. Just mainly depends if you have to dodge kids to get to the food.

My family and I went to this Golden Corral and when we pulled in to the parking lost at 350pm it was FULL. We though if we went before 4pm it wouldnt be so busy. Thankfully a bus load of people were leaving as we were entering. Mean there was no wait for us to be seated! If you come here when your super hungry. MY biggest advice is WALK the the food counters or display before you fix your plate. I fixed my plate and was like Oh man. where did you get that shrimp to my cousin. Or Oh man where did you get that from to another family member. The Steak was and is good. Love the fried chicken. They have some very soft rolls that are very good especially if you dip them in the gravy. The Chocolate Fountain is such a awesome Idea. But it quickly get over looked because it looks so messy making it undesirable except to the 4 – 6 kids putting their dipable items thru the chocolate. Mind you all these kids are unaccompanied by any adults. So Imagine my disappointment as I watched some 5 year stick their entire hand and coat their entire hand with chocolate. All I could think of is Ew… Dang… DO I really want a chocolate covered strawberry now? Especially since now its a kids germ flavored Chocolate?

I know that so many people are horrified by the Golden Corral. And yes… It is not a 4 or 5 star dining experience. Luckily, we have never been to the place when it was a trash dump. It may not be sanitized, but it’s not gross. The reason we go to this place and kind of like it is simple… The price is right for a big selection of something we can find to eat when we have no idea what we want to eat. The food is good enough for the price. It is definitely not Fogo de Chao… But it is also 5 times cheaper.

It is premium weekend. 13.99 per person. Prime Rib, Large deep fried shrimp and some fish. Went at 12: pm today and it was getting packed. My one and only complaint is do not sit to the the left as you go in. The area were all the fish is. You will get a waitress that is rude and obnoxious named Lee. She thinks she is king and accused me of not paying for a drink. Even before I could talk she«went blah blah» I said“Who Nelly” You don’t talk to me like that.” She continued. «Im done with you get me a manager. We told another waitress nearby and moved to her station. After we told her what happenened she said“Yes she does behave grumpy at times». Manager came over, What a waste, he really did not care. I think he was a shift mgr not a GM. Anyway if you want a confrontation then go to her area. The replacement waitress was awesome and got a $ 5 tip. The Food: The prime does not look like the picture they advertise. It was all to well done and the knife they were using was butchering it big time. I asked for Auju and the cook points to it. Okay so I reached for it and burned myself on the latel. Went back to see if maybe they had medium rare prime. Nope. Same old well done chunk of meat. And it took him forever to carve or should I say slaughter a piece of it. Potatoes, shrimp okay. Place was packed when we left. My advice save $ 2.25 and get water. Pepsi there from a fountain is crap. They need coke.

Premium weekend… It’s Sunday… carved…prime…rib…yummmm… I finally return to Golden Corral after my first visit almost 10 years ago. Only someone crazy gives less than 5 stars for this buffet invention. This place is never empty. We went at 4:30pm to beat the wait. We almost did not make it to easily be given seats as the place was already packed with dinner fans. Their sectional prep style(ie. grill, seafood, Italian, Chinese, Mexican, fruits, salad bar, donuts and pies, etc.) is an invention in itself. I got to take a pic of only my second entre helping after I completely forgot to take a pic of my first one because I was just savoring the amazing taste of everything I picked. Even breaded crisp chicken thigh is mmmmm… And for dessert… just feast over the pic I took. One would expect ordinary buffet taste for this place, but it truly is chef quality. Kudos, and great to be back.

I used to go to the local Golden Corral with the parents back in Houston so Golden Corrals evoke good memories in me. Pros: — Breakfast starting at 7:30 am with an eye-popping array of delicious choices: various biscuits, sausages, bacon, toasts, pancake, made-to-order omelets, pastries, cinnamon rolls, waffles, grits, hashbrowns, tater tots, enchiladas, scrambled eggs, cereals, yogurts, pizza, the entire regular salad bar, the entire regular soup bar, etc… the list goes on and on. — Polite, above-average-attentive waitstaff who remove your used plates before they pile up on your table and eventually refill your water — Coffee appears to be free if you ask your waitress for it(though they also have it as a drink option in the beginning at the cash register which is confusing) — Breakfast is $ 8.69. I don’t like buffets because I feel like I’d have to eat my money’s worth but in this case, it was easy to eat your money’s worth. — The tables are arranged in a way that the buffet spread is not in the view of the patrons(which is good because people are encouraged to eat more when the food is in full view) Cons: — One of the other patrons sneezed while at the buffet spread.(I guess you should expect these behaviors when you eat at a buffet with open platters.) — Waitress refilled my water at the very end(but I had three bowls of soup so I was never thirsty). — During lunch and dinner, you can expect lots of little kids with questionable hygiene running around and treating the buffet platter serving spoons as play items While I was there, a nice older couple tipped the lady making omelets $ 2 for their omelet. I thought it was a nice gesture but wasn’t sure if that was common or expected.

Well — it’s a Golden Corral. You know what to expect. Consider this a review on Golden Corral overall, not this particular location. It seems like I find myself here once a year after I forget the experience from the previous year. I think of the vast selection of food available and figure that something will really hit the spot. There is indeed something here for everyone, but as I’m halfway through the meal the realization hits me the same as it does every time I come here… I like the fact that they have chicken, but the chicken is bland. I like fish, but their fish is mediocre. The same thing happens with dish after dish — they have it, you have great expectations, but the expectations are not met. It’s not possible to have good food that you enjoy in these quantities for such a low price. If you want a huge variety and don’t care about having the best quality, then no problem. I’m sure I’ll be back next year to partake actually but I’m pretty sure I’ll leave somewhat disappointed again. PS: I really like their fried clam strips. Maybe I’ll be back just for those regardless. ;)

Buffet is always stocked with fresh food. So much food that your eyes go into over load. Salad bar is very good. And has everything fresh and all your needs to make your salad the way you want it. Cleanliness isn’t the best but there are always people in and out all day. It’s always a packed house. Prices are a bit up there but it’s a good variety to choose from.

What I like about this place is that I can pick and choose whatever I feel like eating, seafood, salad, mexican, american, or any of the other choices. I do like to get many items right after they bring them out and use my own fork to put them on my plate. We don’t eat here every week, maybe once every couple of months, whenever we can decide what to eat. Some things may not be the best, but i only get and eat what tastes good. And they have many things to please.

Unilocal needs a Negative star rating, Come on Unilocal, you have to take the good with the bad. - Took the family out for dinner many times at this location, walked in got our drinks and paid. I don’t know what other parents do but we sit the kids at the table while one of us hits the buffet for the kids while the other sits at the table with the kids. Came back with the kids food went and got mine then the wife went for hers. By the time she was hitting the buffet the crew started combining entries and other food like they were closing up the buffet. We asked if we could speak with the manager. About 20min later he come strolling up to our table and ask«can I help you»?. We talked to him about what was going on and he wasn’t phased or concerned at all. He was very short and condescending, I understand the restaurant has to close sometime but this was at least 40 – 45 min before their posted closing time. We felt rushed to get our dinner down to hit the desert bar, and by the time we did the ice cream machine was shut down and being cleaned, there was two pieces of the same kind of cake left. The infamous chocolate fountain was disassembled but there were plenty of soft squishy slimy strawberries left. Needless to say we were VERYDISAPPOINTED ! In the photo I’m including with this post this section of the food bar is totally shut down and totally cleaned already, You notice the small clock on the wall still says 9:50. And there were still quite a few other customers still trying to enjoy the dinner. It makes one wonder how many other customers came in after us and was even more rushed than we were. And didn’t even get a squishy slimy strawberry for dessert.

Cream corn, butter carrot, and brocoly cheesey, and also a choco fountane. What do all of these things make you want? Golden Coral! I took my nefew’s soccer coach here just about two and a half weeks ago for some good eats. He loves this place so it wasn’t diffucult to impress him this time. First we shared a salad bar, then we discussed my nefew’s future as a sportsman lol. Next it was time to get my hands all over the mac and cheezzzz. My newfew’s coach got three peaces of fried chickens wing. One bad thing was that he said that there was one chicken wing in the chocolate fountain. Not at this one tho. I advise you to avoid the fountane bc I also saw a kid put his hand on it. I ate sevaral plates of dinner, not to mention a dessert round x3, but hay, at least I shared that with my nefew’s soccer coach. My wife was mad bc you cant take home Leftover’s from a buffet, and she didn’t get any. Sory, babe! Next ones on me! ;)

This is why Ashley S is one of my favorite people in real life: Errol M: «It’s your birthday gift dinner. We’ll go wherever you want.» Ashley: «Let’s do a vegetarian feast at Golden Corral!» Errol M: «You really don’t know how cool you are, do you?» ************************ So here’s the bottom line: Are you really that upset when a bunch of families with all their kids show up here for a big night out? Oh, c’mon — when kids are happy, parents are happy, and by golly we can be happy too. Hey, if I was a kid again, I’d plunge my face in that flowing fountain of chocolate. But since I play a mature & responsible adult in real life, I’m content to imagine the experience. Except when I’m with the delightful Ashley S, because I love to make her laugh. But praise be as I stayed chocolate-free, while counting fifty-four troughs of flesh-free food, and I didn’t even include, the salad or dessert bars. It does help if you can do dairy and consume a lot of carbs. But the sweet potato casserole is definitely worth it, and the rolls are always great. You’ll still be eating better & healthier than that table of porkers next to you. So does Golden Corral serve the finest vegetarian cuisine ever blessed upon us, within this brief & mortal secular plane? I wouldn’t go that far. But if the question is to name one better place in town where two people can do some serious veggie damage for under $ 26, then we’ll probably need more time for an answer.
